?Chapter 2164
Besides, Be was notpletely certain if Nadia was her mother.
Acting recklessly would only warrant trouble.
"Thest few days must have taken a toll on you. You should head back for a rest." Cami teared up, feeling bad for Be.
The Thompsons may appear to be a serious bunch, but in reality, they were incredibly romantic, free-spirited, and self-centered. They would do and sacrifice anything to pursue their happiness.
It was the sort of self-serving righteousness.Content ? provided by N?velDrama.Org.
Only Be held the responsibility as the heiress on her frail shoulders. She threw herself into the shady side of the corporate world to protect the family and defend her father''s empire.
Be had the gentleness, wits, and beauty of a woman and the strength, decisiveness, and bravery of a man.
She was the chosen heiress.
However, not everybody could bear the weight of the crown.
The door to the study opened, and Edward entered.
"Edward." Cami went up to him with a smile. Though they had been married for years, she was as bashful as ever.
Edward looked at the organized study and sighed in remorse. He pulled Cami into his
arms.
"Sorry, the meeting took too long. We agreed to tidy the study together, but you handled it all on your own. It won''t happen again."
"It''s nothing major. Don''t worry about it." Cami blushed, feeling embarrassed to be lovey -dovey in front of Be.
"Is everything ironed out, Edward?" Be straightened herself out and acted normal.
"The secret service and the special force will assist you in capturing Christopher and his aplices tomorrow."
Edward looked worried. "I advised Ash and Justin against going to the scene, warning them of potential dangers, but they ignored me and insisted on overseeing things themselves."
"Justin isn''t there to take charge. He will be the first one on the scene." Be was concerned. No one knew Justin better than her.
"While they will wear bulletproof vests, the danger levels will be high. Don''t worry, Be. I will do everything in my power to keep them safe." Edward was solemn.
Be curled her lips faintly. "Thank you, Edward."
"It will be chaos tomorrow, Edward. Are you still attending the museum''s opening ceremony?" Cami asked worriedly.
"I will." Edward was firm on that note. "You know me. I can''t go back on my promise."
Cami responded, "I''ll go with you."
"Stay here at the president''s house and watch over Be."
Edward declined. "I''ve stationed guards in the house, but all the men will be on duty tomorrow. I''m notfortable leaving Be here alone."
Cami sighed and nodded. "Alright. Please be extra careful. I''ll keep watch of Be."
Be returned to her room in a daze. Justin, big and tall as he was, walked out of the bathroom.
"I drew the bath for you, Be."
Sweat gathered on Justin''s forehead. His well-defined arms under the rolled sleeves of his white shirt painted a sexual tension.
"Okay," Be responded nonchntly while wandering off to the bathroom.
Suddenly, a pair of strong but gentle arms held Be from the back.
Justin locked his arms around Be''s body, his breath mingling along her neck. The tingling sensation drenched her skin.
"Do you want to take a bath together?" Hiding his desire behind his eyes, Justin reached his hand into her blouse and unhooked her bra.
This was clearly a sweet part of their daily routine.
"Justin." Before, Be would have melted in his arms by now.
Herposure tonight left Justin feeling uneasy.
"Hm?" Justin''s breath hitched, and he turned her around to face him. "Do you have
something on your mind, Be?"
"Justin..." Be''sshes fluttered, and her voice was raspy as she asked, "My mother fled to Hatchbay back then. Do you think she was a fugitive from Sentania?"
