    Chapter 2456

Asher searched every corner of the hotel, but the person he longed for was nowhere to be found.

"Ash!" Be sprinted after him with all her strength, grabbing his stiff arm. "Don''t panic! I''ll help you find Arnold!"

"He''s nowhere to be found... Nowhere!" Asher''s straight back gradually bent, and droplets fell onto the floor, uncertain whether it was sweat or tears.

"Be... I have a bad feeling. If I fail to bring Arnold back this time... I might lose him forever. I will have forever lost my soul mate..."

"No! If Arnold had truly given up on you, he wouldn''t havee here today! The fact that he did means you still have a ce in his heart!" Be held onto Asher, trying her best tofort him.

But pain burned deep in Asher''s bloodshot eyes. He shook his head.

"Arnold returned only to testify for Justin. He came because he values loyalty and friendship. In his heart... I no longer have a ce anymore."

"You do! You do! If Arnold truly didn''t care about you, he would face you with indifference. He would act naturally, as if nothing had happened. But he ran away without a word. That means he''s avoiding you. He''s just..."

"He''s just unwilling to see me. Seeing me only brings him pain and anger... Isn''t that right?" Asher let out a bitterugh. His heart was being ripped apart.

Just then, Ian approached the siblings. "Ms. Thompson. Mr. Asher."

Ian hesitated for a moment. His voice was hoarse as he looked at Asher. "Mr. Asher, you don''t have to search anymore. Dr. Larson has already left the hotel."

Asher''s voice was raw, his eyes bloodshot. "Where did Arnold go?!"

"He didn''t say... But he asked me to ry a message."

Carrying a heavy burden, Ian lowered his voice. "Dr. Larson said... You don''t need to look for him anymore. He doesn''t want to see you right now."

He softened the words, unwilling to repeat Arnold''s exact phrasing. It was too cruel, and he could not bring himself to say it.

Asher froze. It felt like his soul had been ripped from his body before it shattered into countless pieces mid-air.

"Ian, what about Justin? Has he left?" Be pressed, her gaze burning with urgency.

Ian''s throat tightened. "Yes. He''s gone."

Be stood still, frozen in ce. Just as she opened her mouth to speak, Ryan stormed over." Justin is too much! How could he just leave without a word?! What kind of nonsense is this?!"

Ian took a deep breath, forcing himself to remain calm. "Mr. Salvador said his job here was done. There was no reason for him to stay. He had other matters to attend to, so he left first." "Goddamn it! I always suspected his brain wasn''t working properly. Now, I''m sure of it! The

way he acts, he''s practically a walking contradiction!" Ryan cursed, then turned to Be, his voice softening.

"Be, don''t take it to heart. You know Justin-his mind isn''t right. He does irrational things all the time. Seriously, don''t get worked up over a man who''spletely out of his mind!"

"Justin is right." Be bit her lip. Her eyshes fluttered before she straightened her back, standing tall. "Hepleted his task. There''s nothing no one-worth making him stay."

She revealed a relieved and resolute smile. "As long as he feels at peace, that''s all that matters. I won''t me him."

With that, she turned and walked away, swift and decisive.

"Be!" Ryan panicked and immediately chased after her.

Despite his own heartbreak, Asher could not ignore Be''s distress. He was about to follow when Ian stopped him. "Young Master Asher!"

Asher halted before looking back. His eyes were dim, shaded with sorrow.

"Dr. Larson said he will stay in the country for a few more days. He might be in Hatchbay, or perhaps in Savrow. But within half a month, he will return to Meridan."

Ian took a deep breath before continuing.

"Mr. Asher, if you want to win him back, you have to find him first. But how, and where... That''s something you''ll have to figure out yourself."

Hearing this, Asher''s eyes warmed up. He clenched his fists, then reached out and gave Ian a firm pat on the shoulder.
