“Hello, this is Nash. I’d like to borrow 60 billion.”
“Nash?” Sam’s tone carried a hint of surprise. “Is this the same Nash
who Theo knows?”
Nash murmured in affirmation.
“I can do that, but the interest will be 10%.”
Nash smiled wryly. “Sorry for the trouble.”
With that, he immediately ended the call. After returning the phone to
Eva, Nash looked at Bruce expressionlessly and said, “I don’t want the
Dragon Phoenix Pendant anymore. Please give it to the person in
Heaven Box 15. I’ll cover the five billion difference!”
The person in Box Room 15 had only bid 60 billion, while he bid an
extra five. Since he could note up with the money now, he
naturally had to make up for the five billion difference.
Seeing Nash’s gloomy expression and hearing his disappointed ton
Eva said apologetically, “Mr. Calcraft, I’m really sorry I’m not able to
help you.”
Nash smiled but said nothing. He already guessed that Roxy was
behind this. He had only taken a billion of her cash, and now she was trying every possible way to
swindle him out of ten billion. Did she think he would fall for it so easily?
“My young friend, the auction house’s rule is that the sale is final. The
Great Eastern Tower doesn’t entertain refunds.”

billion?”
Bruce nodded. “You can choose not to borrow the sum, but we need
to proceed with the transaction for this pendant.”
Nash stared at the old man. He did not sense any spiritual fluctuation
emanating from him but still felt a shiver down his spine. Bruce was
obviously a formidable cultivator in the Profound Oriental Realm.
Eva tugged at Nash’s sleeve. “Mr. Calcraft, I think you’re being
targeted!”
Nash smiled indifferently at that. “Since my strength iscking, I have
nothing to say.”
With that, he raised his right hand and took out the five billion in cash.
Despite the spaciousness of the room, the cash only upied a
small portion of the space.
“Here’s five billion in cash. After the auction ends, you can deduct ten
billion from the proceeds of my auctioned pills.”
Sometimes, discretion was the better part of valor. Nash decide
step back since hecked power and influence in Munford. There
woulde a day when he would have the four major Chambers
Commerce kneeling at his feet. That day would not be far off.
Bruce looked surprised. “You’re the one auctioning off the Elixir of
Youth and the Gold Essence Pill?”
Eva piped up just then, “Exactly! Mr. Calcraft brought many pills with him. The two pills sold earlier
were just the tip of the iceberg!”
Chapt
Bruce was merely the guardian of the Great Eastern Tower and rarely
delved into internal affairs. His ignorance of the pills’ source was not
surprising.
“Are you the one who refined them?”
Bruce asked again, his deep eyes staring fixedly at Nash. No lies
could escape his scrutiny.
“It’s just a pile of low-grade pills. Anyone can make them with a little skill,” Nash responded, tone
dripping with arrogance and confidence.
“Anyone can make them?” Eva could not help but feel that Nash was
bragging.
Bruce’s pupils trembled. He did not see lies in Nash’s eyes. Instead,
he caught a hint of disdain, as if refining those pills was truly
effortless for him.
“Is the pendant mine now?” Nash asked expressionlessly.
Bruce nodded and instructed the beautiful attendant to hand the
pendant over to Nash.
“Yes, sir,” the attendant replied and carried the tray to Nash.
Nash picked up the pendant without hesitation and said bluntly, “Y
can leave now. I prefer to have some quiet.”
Bruce gave Nash a deep look. “You don’t need to repay the interest
anymore. I’ve offended you just now. I apologize. I hope you’ll forgive me.” With that said, Bruce made
a gesture of apology by sping his hands together.
