The Hicks family of Sagen has always been low–key. Every year, they invested ten million to collect
intelligence from the business world. They emphasized stability above all else. Within the family, there
was a cklist that was updated every three days, with newly listed names always ced at the top.
Hera emerged as a rising female tycoon in the business world, her bold and aggressive style catching
the attention of the patriarch, who even ced her at the top of the list.
For three consecutive days, the patriarch sent emails to all branches, urging them not to provoke Hera.
He even personally made over ten calls to Jonford himself.
“Eugene, can you tell me why you had to provoke Hera? Didn’t I tell you not to mess with anyone,
especially not her? Don’t you know about the changes in the Jonford business world?” The patriarch
red at the camera.
16 billion. For a second–rate family, it was like having their tendons pulled and their skin peeled.
“Grandpa, I really didn’t know Southern Heavens Pharmaceutical belonged to that demon!”
Eugene said with a choke, his voice trembling. Of course, he had learned of the changes in the Jonford
business world and noted Baroque’s rapid rise.
Baroque had acquired Innovate Collective and was also engaged in a conflict with Deco.
Edward had even mocked Deco forcking foresight and provoking Hera, the female overlord.
Sure enough, Hera had officially acquired Deco today. Little did he know, he would be the next unlucky
one.
“Didn’t you bother to check thepany’s shareholder information when you were dealing with them?
Did you really think our family became a second–rate family just through connections? We’ve been
emphasizing stability for decades to achieve our current position!”
Edward roared.
He mmed the table after losing his temper. His eyes were almost popping out of their sockets.
His private doctor hurried forward to help the old man, giving him oxygen. Edward looked like he had
aged ten years. After inhaling oxygen for about three minutes and calming down, he slowly said, “You
have three days to transfer the Jonford branch to Hera.”
“Grandpa… This…..” Eugene was at a loss. Did they not already give her 16 billion? Why was
Edward asking to transfer thepany to her as well?
Edward snorted coldly, “Do you think giving her 16 billion will make Hera calm down? Southern
Heavens Pharmaceutical is in its development stage. Shecks equipment, talent, and factories. Do
you think she’ll let this opportunity slip by?”
The old man was steady. He knew that if he did not transfer thepany, they would likely incur even
greater losses.
At the Southern Heavens Pharmaceutical office, Eva put down the data on Hondur Pharmaceuticals in
front of Hera. “The Jonford branch introduced fully automated production equipment to their line–up.
They have over 600 employees, most of whom are technical personnel.”
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and Yasmin went to get it. It was Hera’s chief bodyguard,
Robin Price. He entered with several documents in his hands. “These are all the vitions and dirty
tricks they’vemitted over the years.”
Hera’s lips curved into a smile. Just as she was about to speak, the phone on her desk rang. It was
from an unknown number, a local one from Jonford.
She picked up the phone and heard Eugene say, “Ms. Lewis, we’d like to transfer the Jonford branch
over to you. Would you be keen on taking over?”
Hera was slightly surprised but quickly realized that the old man from Sagen had to be the one calling
the shots behind the scenes. Since he was considering transferring thepany, it meant the
preparations had been made.

“Alright, I’ll send someone to discuss the transfer tomorrow.”
