Chapter 1934

Alfius and Jake led a team of explorers to find those who, like Sven, were lone survivors at Sven''s previous shelter.

They also aimed to survey the terrain.

The ind had two mountains, and it would take about four to five hours to traverse them. Finding scattered survivors in such a vast area was no easy task.

Jake suddenly groaned while pretending to clutch his stomach.

    "What''s wrong?" Alfius asked.

"My stomach hurts. You guys wait here. I need to relieve myself," Jake said.

"Fine, but hurry up," Alfius replied, feeling a bit annoyed.

What Alfius did not know was that Jake intended to destroy evidence. He also nned to kill Sventer.

Jake was shocked when he arrived at Sven''s shelter. He had encountered Sven in the forest when recruiting him to the tribe and had no idea his shelter was so close to the scene of his third victim. Sven must have been there already, and he might already know something.

Sure enough, he saw footprints on the ground that were partially covered by grass. Even he had not noticed them before.

As he hastily cleaned up the scene, Jake then started yelling. Jake knew they woulde this way soon, so he wanted to be the first to find the body.

Alfius and the others rushed over upon hearing the scream. That was when they noticed Jake, sitting on the ground with his pants still down.

"Hey! Jake, are you alright?" Alfius asked with concern.

Jake''s acting was impable. He looked genuinely terrified, which convinced everyone he was really scared out of his wits.

"Hey! Hey, Jake!" Alfius shouted, trying to snap him out of it.

Jake was genuinely frightened, and Alfius could not just leave him there. He told his subordinates, "Let''s head back for now. We''ll return tomorrow and take note of the numbers."

With that, they hurried back. What they did not notice was a pair of eyes watching them from the bushes.

The observer muttered, pushing up their sses, "Jake, it seems like you''re fooling the honest folks again."

    ...

Back in the shelter, Nash was still hesitant. "I don''t know... what to do..."

Sven reassured him, "I understand. You can choose however you want."

He continued, noticed something.... Choices are rtive. Only after you make a choice will the series of events continue. Haven''t you noticed that sometimes, it gets dark very quickly, and other times, it stays light for longer?"

"Yes... I have noticed that," Nash said.

"Have you ever thought about why there are exactly 30 participants, and why, if no other events ur, it takes exactly 30 days to umte enough points?" Sven asked. "Thirty days? Thirty participants?" Nash realized something was off but could not pinpoint it.

"Each person will make a choice on a specific day. Only after they make their choice does that day continue..." Sven exined.

    Nash and Marie were shocked.

Marie said softly, "But wait, if I made my choice today, and Nash has to make his choice today too..."

Nash agreed, "Exactly. Sven, you made your choice yesterday, and yesterday, Marie received the leaf, which means Jake has made his choice... In that case..."

"Wait a minute..." Nash seemed to realize something. "If 30 days represent 30 people, what happens if the number of people decreases? Do the number of days... decrease too?" Sven patted him on the shoulder.novelbin

"Exactly. It''s not about reducing the total number butpressing the days. Check your points," Sven instructed.

    Following Sven''s advice, Nash and

Marie checked their points. Sure enough, they should have had 12 points from the past nine days and three points from thepleting task. However, their points now showed 15.

"We''re three days ahead?" Marie eximed in shock.

    Sven took a sip of water and exined, "Do you get it now? They aren''t reducing the total amount;

    instead, they''repressing timeet

merging many days into one. This means we can''t understand this space''s time by conventional means. Simply put, a day here is about 12 hours long."
