Val sat in his office and tooknguid sips of his coffee.


    Torah thumped a fist on the table, a murderous look in his eyes as he questioned Val vehemently, "Dude! What were you thinking? Do you know how many days are left until we''re supposed to pull off the n? Why did you scare him off?" Val blew away the steam rising from his coffee, a hint of a smile on his features as he said calmly, "Don''t panic, Torah. He''lle to his senses."


    "How long will we have to wait for, Val? I don''t want to wait for another ten years!" Torah roared, a look of discontent and resignation in his eyes.


    Val got to his feet and thumped himself on the chest as he said with confidence, "Don''t worry, things will be a sess this time."


    Right then, someone walked in through the door.

    Their guest seemed to be in histe 30s to 40s. He had on a ck-colored military coat, and the long scar running across his right eye gave him a mean, vicious look.


    Val and Torah turned to look at him.


    Val asked, "Oh? What are your thoughts, Cormick?"

    Cormick lit himself a cigarette and said calmly, "Val, don''t you find it odd?"
