Chapter 2252

To these gods, Clint and Nash were merely first-tier mortals. The old priest had already given them an easy way out. If they refused again, they might provoke the highest ruler of the realm, and the consequences would be easy to imagine.

Hence, the two reluctantly epted the talismans. Immediately, the talismans disappeared, merging into their bodies.

It turned out that many gods had requested reincarnation after a huge amount of their numbers were annihted by the Netherworld''s forces. Naturally, the old priest did not refuse their request; it was indeed a good opportunity.

He had long wanted to drive away the idle and sycophantic gods currently residing in the god realm and took advantage of this opportunity for a major overhaul.

Of course, new candidates were now needed to fill the vacancies. Thus, the old priest had to descend to the mortal realm and use Nash and Clint to find new candidates.

The old priest mentioned there was no rush. During this period, he would also be busy with other matters, so selecting candidates was thest step. Hence, he gave them ample time.

However, he was not going to wait idly either. Periodically, a few gods would reincarnate, adding more talismans to their possession. The longer they dyed, the more talismans they would umte. Naturally, the two had little choice and had toply with the old priest''s request.

After passing on his instructions, the old priest vanished.

The two quickly copsed into their chairs, wiping the sweat off their foreheads.

Nash stared at the talismans in his hand with a troubled expression.

"We already have close to ten talismans. Where are we supposed to find

candidates for these?" Clint said with a look of helplessness.

Nash replied, "We have no choice but to take it step by step. But he didn''t specify

the criteria for evaluating these talismans... That''s a problem."

Nash pondered for a moment then started listing various possibilities. "First, there''s cultivation level. But obviously, there are hardly any martial artists with a higher cultivation than ours in Drakonia.

"If we use this standard, we might not find anyone. What else is there... Character, maybe?"

"Character? Are you sure?" Clint asked.

Nash shook his head. "I''m not sure. What do we do? That old guy said if we can''t find candidates, we''ll have to take their ce ourselves."

At that moment, Clint suddenly asked, "Nash, do you want to be a god?"

Nash shook his head decisively. He then gazed out at the brightly lit street. "No, don''t. My cultivation level might not mean much to me personally, but after all the events I''ve experienced, I learned that true strengthes from the ability to protect those you care about. If I were to be one of those lofty gods, my strength might be meaningless."

At BrightState Enterprises in Gorgeous Country, a loud voice was heard. "Hey, Jimmy! Get those documents over to the Product Department ASAP!"

    e

Disguised as ''Jimmy'', a typical office worker, Sterling grabbed the documents. Although the job was fairly straightforward, running errands between departments, was not a bad thing for Sterling as it allowed him to move freely through various departments while gathering a wealth of information.

He made his way to the Production Department, located the head, and handed over the documents.

It was now lunchtime and arge group of people were headed towards the cafeteria.

Suddenly, someone leaned heavily on Sterling''s shoulder.

Sterling turned to see Helio, who was disguised as a production worker named Mike, resting weakly on his shoulder. Assuming that Helio had some crucial information to share, Sterling quickly guided him to the stairwell. It was a quiet spot due testhe presence of elevators.

"Helio, what''s wrong? Did you discover something?"
