"What exactly is ctation soup''?"
Colby''s sudden question made Sophie pause. "You don''t know whatctation soup is?"
"Not really."
"It''s a soup that helps new mothers produce milk."
Colby frowned, seriously asking, "Do men need to drink it?"
"...It''s for women."
"Got it." Colby nodded. "If you ever want kids..."
"You''ll make soup for me?"
"I won''t let you drink it."
"What kind of logic is that!"
"I''ve heard breastfeeding can be painful, and I don''t want you to go through that."
Sophie couldn''t help butugh at Colby''s heartfelt words. "So if I don''t breastfeed, what will our baby drink?"
"Form."
Colby''s casual tone made it sound like the baby wasn''t much of a concern to him.
Sophie said, "Silly, even if I don''t breastfeed, if the milk isn''t expressed, it will still hurt."
Colby looked down, pondering for a moment, then said, "Then let''s not have kids. Just you and me, spending our lives together would be great. If you feel lonely, we can get a cabin in the mountains and raise kittens and puppies. I''ll always be by your side, never letting you suffer or feel lonely."
"Okay."
Sophie smiled.
After cleaning up the dishes, Sophie
carried the crock pot out of the room, ready to take it down to the kitchen. Turning the corner, she identally bumped into Jonah, who was carrying a bag of takeout.
The takeout bag slipped from Jonah''s hands to the ground, and his expression changed as he immediately bent down to pick it up.
Seeing the words "Fresh Fish, Prepared on Order" on the takeout bag, Sophie raised an eyebrow. "Eating fish thiste, is your boss still thinking about dinner?" "It''s fish soup."
Jonah replied shortly before delivering it to the study across the hall.
Hearing that Jonah was carrying fish soup, and recalling what Colby mentioned earlier about fish soup being used forctation, she purposely raised her voice towards the study, teasing, "Isn''t this fish soup forctation purposes? Mr. Odie, you''re not just out of confinement, are you?"
Sophie''s voice was perfectly pitched to reach inside the study.
Upon hearing Sophie''s words, Odie''s face darkened. This text is property of N?/velD/rama.Org.
Jonah, confused, delivered the fish soup to Odie''s room. "Boss, your fish soup is here."
"Couldn''t you have avoided Sophie when you wereing upstairs?" Odie said as Jonah put the soup on his desk.
Jonah paused. "Why should I avoid her?"
It was just a bowl of fish soup, nothing shameful.
Odie didn''t answer. He looked at the fish soup on the table but couldn''t muster any appetite. He casualty opened the packaging, only to find a bowl of ordinary-looking fish soup. en.swhovels
Odie couldn''t help but remember the soup Sophie had made in the kitchen, which was creamy white.
The bowl in front of him was watery, unappetizing at first nce.
Still, Odie took a sip, only to find it not only tasted bad but also had a fishy smell.
"Is this the fish soup for postpartum women?"
Odie clearly remembered the soup Sophie made smelled fresh and delicious, but the one in front of him was not only somewhat cold but also tasted and felt unappealing.
