Chapter 1339

Sophie noticed that everyone''s eyes were on her. She furrowed her brow and asked, "Remember that ledger we talked about?" "Yeah, of course."

"Other than the usual stuff, it was just filled with numbers."

Sophie mused, "If those four ledgers are actually a treasure map, could those numbers be geographical coordinates?"

Jenna chimed in, "So many coordinates, though. Seems kinda far-fetched."

Colby, with a serious look, replied, "It''s possible."N?velDrama.Org owns all ? content.

Adler was curious, "What makes you say that?"

Colby exined, "Latitude 31° North, Longitude 120° East is a key point for Devonport, but Devonport has its own specific coordinates too."

Sophie added, "Devonport sits between Longitude 120°52′ and 122°12′ East, and Latitude 30°40′ and 31°53'' North. Don''t those numbers, 120 and 30, ring a bell?"

Jenna pped her hands, "Those numbers popped up in the ledger all the time, and they were even highlighted in red!"

"What if they point to locations centered around Devonport''s downtown?"

"30...120..." Jenna murmured, "That means it''s gotta be that mountain."

She pointed to a mountain range just outside town, where the numbers 130, 1201 were specifically marked.

"But hasn''t that mountain been ttened?" Jenna asked skeptically.

"Just because the mountain''s gone doesn''t mean there''s no treasure underground. Remember the old tale about the royal family hiding their treasure there?" Sophie mentioned. "The Aldridge family poured a lot of money into something back then. If it wasn''t for fixing up a spy station, maybe they were moving the mountain."

"Really? Have we actually found the treasure''s spot?" Jenna''s excitement was contagious.

Even Sandy, who had been listening quietly, was hooked. Treasure hunting! The kind of thing you only see in movies and TV shows right? How could anyone resist?

As they were getting excited about their discovery, Rick shed a sly smile, his eyesnding on Timothy, who was eavesdropping from a corner. Rick''s smile grew wider.

"Colby, how about we head there tomorrow?" Sophie suggested, taking Colby''s hand.

    Colby nodded, "Sure thing."

"I wanna go too!" Angelo and Sandy eximed, their enthusiasm bubbling over at the thought of the treasure hunt. Who wouldn''t wanna join in?

Sophie agreed, "Alright, let''s do this together."

"Yay! Treasure hunt, here wee!" Sandy cheered, absolutely thrilled.

They were so caught up in the excitement that they didn''t notice Timothy slip away.

Sophie nced toward the corner, her eyes clouded with doubt.

Later, back in their room, Sophie turned to Colby, "Don''t you think this is all a bit too easy?"

    "Did you notice something odd?"

"Rick seemed to drop those hints on purpose," Sophie frowned. "Could it be a trap by Mr. Gordon?" "Could be," Colby replied, almost sure.

Sophie frowned, "I have a gut feeling we''ll soon find out who''s behind all this."
