"Do you mean... it''s not over yet?"
"Yes."
"Who is this person?"
"I don''t know, but I think... that person is right by your side."
Sophie slowly wandered to one side of the living room, taking in the cheerful crowd. She didn''t want to doubt anyone here.
Could it be Jenna? Adler? Was it Reece, Julian, or Booker? Her eyes flitted to Odie and Jonah. Maybe them? Then theynded on Elodie and Griffin. Or perhaps... them? Could it be Harold? Or... Colby? Sophie trusted everyone here deeply. But if one of them was the culprit, what would she do?Content is ? 2024 N?velDrama.Org.
She hung up the call. Adler and Jenna waved her over to join them. Sophie tucked away her phone, put on a smile, and settled into her seat.
While everyone else was caught up in lively chatter, Sophie''s thoughts weighed heavy. Reece, who''d been mingling and having a good time, noticed her mood and paused.
When the drinks were flowing, Reece pulled Sophie aside. The cool breeze outside was a wee relief.
"Was that a call from James?" Reece asked.
"How did you know?" Sophie turned to Reece, saw him looking into the distance, and realized, "You''re like another me in this world. After working together for so long, of course, you understand me." Everyone here was a friend, but Reece had always gotten her. He was her first trusted partner besides Colby.
For the past two years, Reece had been by her side, never once thinking of leaving S Corporation.
"You''ve changed, Sophie." "How so?"

"In every way," Reece chuckled. "When we first met, you never had such a worried look. Seems like things have been rough in Devonporttely."

"Not as rough as what you''ve been through. If it hadn''t been for you leading the charge, I might not have been able to handle Joseph so. calmly I owe you for holding down half of S Corporation for me
"That''s not just your territory, it''s mine too. Remember when you found me? We decided then-we''re partners for life."
Reece extended a fist, and Sophie bumped it with hers, saying, "Yeah, the best partners. So, you wouldn''t betray me, right?"
"Like you said, I''m another you. Betraying you would be like betraying myself, wouldn''t it?"
"Exactly."
Sophie grinned, "Then I''m not afraid to tell you, out of everyone here, besides Colby, you''re the one trust

"Of course."
Sophie raised an eyebrow, "Aren''t you curious what kind of favor?"
"If it''s you asking, I''m in. Who would refuse their other self?"
Sophieughed, "I was just throwing that out there, and now you''ve turned it into your mantra?"
"I''ve always taken your words to heart," Reece replied. "Who knows me better than you do?" "Alright, enough kidding around."
Sophie pulled out her phone and opened a photo that James had sent her.
