Beverley was fuming, so much so that she did something she''d never considered before-chasing after the confrontation. She always thought it beneath her, something only the desperately cornered would do. Yet, here she was, indistinguishable from what she despised. It was clear; she was livid. "Sharp-tongued and arrogant, no wonder there''s an old saying, ''Birds of a feather flock together.'' You''re all the same, cking any semnce of manners!"
Leda couldn''t help butugh at the usation, especially when it implied something about Roseanne- that was crossing a line!
"Shut your trap, you hag!"
"Oh, did I strike a nerve? She''s been with my son for six years without a peep. Clearly, that''s a dry well! Funny, isn''t it? Your overreaction makes me think you''ve got a guilty conscience."
"Ha!" Leda scoffed. "Six years and no baby, ever considered it might be your son with the issue? He''s a regr at the hospital, can''t seem to cut back on smoking and drinking. Maybe it''s high time your precious boy got checked out, in case the problem''s on his end-" Leda''s gaze shifted to Millie''s belly, causing a sudden change in herplexion as she stumbled over her words, "I''ve only ever been with Murray, I would never betray him..."
Beverley, protective of her son Murray, retorted, "Spout any more nonsense, and I''ll tear your mouth apart—"
As if Leda would back down. She rolled up her sleeves in defiance, "Come on then, let''s see who ends up tearing who!"
Seeing the argument escte, Roseanne tried to calm Leda down.
Millie, caught off guard by the sudden turn of events, stood to the side. When Roseanne moved closer, Millie suddenly yelped, "Ouch!" and slumped to the ground. "My belly! It hurts so much!"
Beverley''s concern shifted instantly from the argument to Millie, fearing the worst for the baby.
"Millie, are you okay? Is it really bad?"
With a pained expression, Millie

shook her head, "It''s not too bad. instinctively protected my belly just don''Dunderstand... Why would Roseanne push me?"
Upon hearing this, Beverley red at Roseanne, "Can''t have your own, so you spite those who can? That''s just vile!"
Roseanne was bbergasted. "What the-?"
She saw right through Millie''s
theatrics. Possibly afraid that the act could turn into a real ident, Millie had cushioned her fall, protecting her betty and using her hand to brace herself, effectively preventing any real harm.
The performance wasughably amateurish, cking any subtlety.
Apart from the two forced tears, even the expression of pain was awkwardly stiff, painfully obvious to anyone watching.
Looking down at Millie, Roseanne

spoke with a dismissive tone, "Since you''re using me of pushing you, wouldn''t I be at a loss if I didn''t live up to that usation?"
With that, she reached out towards Millie
Millie recoiled, realizing Roseanne wasn''t joking and immediately backed down.
"It was my mistake, I lost my bnce. Roseanne had nothing to do with it. I''m fine now..."
Beverley, still concerned, suggested, "Are you sure you''re okay? Maybe we should get you checked out, just to be safe?"
After all, Millie was carrying the Sherwood family''s future heir!
Shaking her head, Millie whispered, "I''m really okay, Beverley. I''ve already got the test results; let''s just head back."
The baby was her ticket into the high society; Millie couldn''t risk anything happening to it, even if she couldn''t resist the urge to rile up Roseanne. Beverley, with a sigh, conceded, "For my grandson''s sake, let''s leave it at that. Millie, let''s go."
