Chapter 431

"Wow, you really are something. Because of you... I''ve changed."

His words hung in the air with no reply, so with a hint of annoyance, he nced down at her. Selena appeared to bepletely wiped out, already fast asleep, her eyes gently shut. Everett chuckled softly, giving her nose a yful pinch. "You little rascal, able to sleep through anything."

He was left alone to ponder the bittersweet taste of parting.

In the end, he couldn''t bring himself to wake her. He switched off the light and joined her in thend of dreams.

The next day, Selena was right on time for her flight.

Everett had reserved the entire business ss just for her, with Ava and the bodyguards seated throughout the cabin. Luckily, Bill wasn''t tagging along this time.

It seemed Everett''s trust in her had grown enough for him to ease up a bit.

The other bodyguards knew better than to mess with her, and since Ava was on her team, navigating the situation was a breeze.

At exactly ten o''clock, the ne took off.

Selena gazed through the tiny airne window as the ground slowly disappeared and the ne soared into the clouds. A smile crept across her lips. Outside the airport, in a sleek ck sedan, Everett rolled down the window, his dark eyes fixed on the ne as it ascended through the clouds.

Only when it vanished behind the clouds did he turn away, telling the driver, "Back to the office."

Four hourster, the ne touched down in a Spanish city, serving as ayover with a two-hour stop.

After such a long flight, everyone was visibly tired. Once off the ne, Selena suggested grabbing coffee for everyone.

Ava, who had never left the country before, was on her first international trip and couldn''t stop chatting with Selena, her excitement palpable.

Selena, however, was preupied, half-listening as she scanned the area, taking note of every detail.

She had only two hours and needed to make every second count.

After about half an hour in the café, she suddenly clutched her stomach, wincing in pain.

"Ma''am, are you okay? Is it your stomach?" Ava eximed, clearly rmed.

Being pregnant, if anything were to happen, Everett would be furious.

"Probably just the long flight. The baby''s being a bit fussy. It''s fine, just help me to the restroom."

    "Alright, take it easy."

Ava carefully helped Selena up, heading toward the restroom in the airport.

The bodyguards stood up as a group, causing a bit of a scene.

Selena quickly waved them off, "Are you all going to follow me? People will think something is wrong and panic. How embarrassing! Sit down, if you''re worried, just one cane along."  en

She randomly picked one of them.

Being in a foreign country and an airport, it wasn''t wise for everyone to move together. The lead bodyguard thought it over and agreed.

    ine

After all, she was a delicate woman pregnant, in an unfamiliar ce. Foreignnds carried their own risks,

so staying close to the gros

    seemed safer.

At the restroom entrance, the bodyguard stood watch outside while Ava apanied Selena inside.

    Selena entered thest stall reserved

    expected, there was a backpack

    hanging there.

It was filled with disguises, clothes, and a new ID.

She quickly changed, disguising herself before stepping out.

    "Ma''am, you..."

Ava didn''t get to finish her sentence before Selena swiftly struck the side of her neck, causing her to slump down.

Selena caught her and gently ced her on a chair.

This was the only way to fully cut ties and avoid being chased.

All that was left was to sneak past the bodyguard outside, and she could disappear into the unknown!
