At that moment, Frankie''s loud voice woke Alice up. She rubbed her eyes and stepped out of the lounge, still drowsy.

The moment Alice appeared, Emmett immediately put down the cards in his hand then picked up the cool table and handed it to Alice. The temperature was just right.

Bruce and Chris noticed Emmett''s attentiveness and realized he really adored Alice.

Alice took a big sip of water then looked at Frankie, saying sweetly, "Yvette has many certificates. There are many boxes of them."

The others stopped ying cards and turned their attention to Alice. Embarrassed by their stares, Alice hid behind Emmett and clutched the hem of his shirt with her small hands. Her face flushed, and she looked adorable.

Emmett spoke softly, "Don''t be scared. Are you saying Yve has a box of certificates?"

Alice shook her head vigorously, then nodded and sniffled. "Emmett, you''re wrong. It''s not one box-it''s eight boxes."

The others were stunned into silence. Alice wasn''t one to exaggerate, so Yvette must really have eight boxes of certificates. Even though they were used to Yvette''s incredible feats, this revtion left them at a loss for words.

''What the hell! Is Yve even human? Doesn''t she need time to study? Don''t exams take time? How''s her time different from ours?'' everyone thought. Seeing their silence, Alice hid behind Emmett again and said in her babyish voice, "Yvette said taking exams is just a way to pass the time. If you''re bored, you can try it too. She said it''s very simple."

Bruce, Sienna, Frankie, and Chris dismissed it as Alice''s innocent remarks. She had way too much faith in them. Taking exams to pass time and amassing eight boxes of certificates? Only Yvette could pull off something like that. It was beyond

    human.

The groupughed awkwardly. Emmett took Alice back to the lounge and coaxed her back to sleep. Frankie took over Emmett''s cards, and they resumed their game while listening to Emmett singing lubies in the break room.

A rare silence settled among them. Even Frankie, who was usually the most yful, stopped joking around. Everyone knew Emmett did not fall in love easily; but, once he did, he wouldn''t let go. However, loving Alice meant a lifetime of hardship.

After a couple more rounds of card games, they lost interest. They opened a bottle of red wine and started chatting. Half an hourter, Yvette and Jeremiah walked in, both dressed in matching casual ck outfits.N?velDrama.Org copyrighted ? content.

Yvette lifted her cap and nced at the break room. She asked nonchntly, “Is Alice asleep?"

Sienna nodded and whispered, afraid to wake Alice, "Yeah, Emmett''s with her. She woke up just now because of the noise. but she should get some rest now."

Yvette nodded slightly. "We''ll depart in half an hour," she said coldly.

Jeremiah turned to looked at her with a soft expression and said, "I''ll sit in the co-pilot seat."

Yvette responded with a short hum and headed for the cockpit.

Holding his wine ss, Frankie watched the two leave and sighed, "How''s it possible for two people to look so perfect together, even from the back? It''s like they were made for each other.

"I wonder if I''ll ever find a love like that. Oh, when will I get to experience the pain of love?"

Bruce downed his ss of wine in one gulp and looked at Frankie. "Dream on."

Those words pulled Frankie out of his daydreams, leaving him sulking.

In the cockpit, Yvette sat in the pilot''s seat while Jeremiah upied the co-pilot''s. Watching her skillfully prepare for takeoff, he asked with interest, "When did you learn to fly?"

Yvette''s hands paused briefly on the controls. She lifted her eyes slightly and replied coldly, "I taught mys my license at 18."

Jeremiah was not surprised. He had long guessed that Yvette would not wait for an instructor to teach her. Instead, she learned it herself.

With two minutes left before takeoff, Yvettepleted the final preparations. She picked up the inte and announced, "Fasten your seatbelts. Taking off in one minute."

Everyone returned to their seats and buckled up. Recalling the previous pilot''s warnings, Bruce leaned over to tighten Sienna''s seatbelt and double- checked it. Sienna cooperated withoutining.

Seeing that, Frankie teased them, "Really, you two? Yve''s flying the ne. Even if you''re scared, there''s no need to tighten your seatbelt so much. You''re overreacting."

Bruce nced at Frankie''s loosely fastened seatbelt and, after a moment of silence, kindly advised, "Tighten your seatbelt, Frankie."

Frankie brushed it off, but Bruce looked at Frankie as if he were looking at a fool. ''Suit yourself,'' he thought.

Emmett had settled Alice in the break room and sat beside her, watching her sleep peacefully and feeling deeply content.

A minuteter, everyone felt the ne gradually lift off the ground, ascending until they passed through the clouds. The takeoff was smooth.

Just as Frankie was about to mock Bruce for being overly cautious; the ne, now flying steadily, suddenly picked up speed. It went faster and faster.

Nine hourster, Yvette''s voice came over the inte, "Prepare fornding in five minutes."

Remarkably, she had shaved almost three hours off the usual flight duration from Mysonna to Ybau. Despite piloting for nine hours straight, Yvette lookedpletely refreshed-more than when she boarded the ne.

won''t be able to get out Jeremiah turned to her, his gaze deep and thoughtful. ''How many more surprises does she have hidden?'' he wondered. Sensing his eyes on her, Yvette raised her brows and said slowly, Jeremiah, if you keep staring of bed tomorrow."

Jeremiah was used to her sharp tongue and merely chuckled, his voice soft and teasing. “I''ve booked a private spa in Ybau.”

He waited for her reaction. Sure enough, Yvette bit her lip; and the smile in Jeremiah''s eyes deepened.

Yvette tilted her head and casually unbuttoned two buttons on her shirt, revealing her elegant corbones and the white T- shirt underneath. She nced at Jeremiah nonchntly and threw down her challenge. "Fine. Whoever backs out, loses."

Jeremiah''s eyes darkened, a flicker of something intense crossing his gaze. He smirked and replied hoarsely, "Deal."

Back in the cabin, Frankie was the happiest after hearing Yvette''snding announcement. He feared that the ne would maintain its earlier speed. Who knew Yvette would speed up halfway through?

''Holy! One would think that Yve''s flying a fighter jet,'' he thought Now, he understood why Bruce had tightened Sienna''s seatbelt so much. Honestly, if not for his own belt, he might have flown out of his seat.

For the first time in his life, Frankie realized he had never seen anyone “race” a ne before.
