Chapter 470: The Scale of Victory


    The Devil Alliance did not expect Starfire’s firepower to be so formidable, rendering a massive gap at the forefront of their formation right at first contact.


    In their opinion, with the Devil Alliance’s strength and elite degree, if they shed with the yers of the Starfire guild.


    Initially, there would undoubtedly be a tussle, followed by the Devil Alliance breaching Starfire’s frontline, then storming into their formation, leaving none of their yers unscathed, thus teaching Starfire a lesson.


    However, reality is cruel, and Li Yao was not interested in a war of attrition from the start.


    The Devil Alliance simply had too many yers, innumerable times more than the Starfire guild. If the battle were to continue, Starfire would be at a disadvantage or even face defeat.


    Therefore, Li Yao decided to risk exposing his Mechanical Pets, to break this stalemate directly and surge into the opponent’s lines.


    Romeo was in the vicinity, and looking at the current situation, it was beyond anything he had anticipated. His eyes nearly bursting with rage. The lines were breaking too quickly, and he hadn’t even reacted when he saw Li Yao’s Hydra in the crowd within the gap.


    Following that, green snowkes began to scatter around, and after a mere two or three seconds, the yers covered in these snowkes started to explode.


    Neon-green icicles burst out from the yer’s bodies, instantaneously annihting them, without leaving any suspense.


    The damage inflicted by the Hydra was the most terrifying, especially since it had be a high-ranking char.


    “Any yer who sees the Hydra should eradicate it immediately.” Romeo shrieked.<div>


    The nearby ranged yers immediately attacked the Hydra. They had no choice after witnessing the devastation it caused, at least wiping out dozens of yers within seconds.


    Although they had spected during their fight with Li Yao that the Hydra’s icicle explosion was an AoE attack, they didn’t foresee such catastrophic damage as there was only one yer sustaining it at the time, which was far less shocking than the present situation.


    Witnessing theirrades’ bodies explode and toxic icicles prate from within, the visual impact left them horrified.


    Moreover, if it weren’t for the initial massive damage wiping out arge portion of their yers which left them more spread out, the casualty numbers would’ve been higher.


    Seeing the Hydra continuing forward, one couldn’t deny their sense of urgency. Combined with Romeo’s orders, the nearby ranged fighters had their firepower concentrating on the Hydra.


    Although the Hydra was a high-ranking char, it was still a pet. Compared to wild bosses, who gain additional health points when facing more yers, it was significantly inferior.


    Its health points were terrifying for a single yer, but facing so many, the Hydra’s health points were quickly depleting. Even with continuous healing, it couldn’t outrun the rate of health point loss.


    “Bastard, you still want to hold back your ultimate abilities?” The Ice Serpent roared in anger.


    “You peons wish to kill me. It won’t be that easy.” A sh of green light shot from the Poisonous Serpent’s eyes, spraying a wad of verdant Poison Fog into the crowd.

    Therge poison balls instantly collided with the yers, subsequently exploding, sending countless smaller poison arrows flying in all directions. In an instant, the health points of the affected yers began to sharply decline.


    The healers attempted to recover their health urgently, but the Poisonous Serpent did not provide them with the opportunity, as another green sh flickered from its eyes.

    The Dark Serpent also deployed a spell after the Poisonous Serpent entered the crowd. It firstly used Mental Control on almost thirty surrounding yers to begin attacking theirrades in the Devil Alliance.


    Subsequently, dark tendrils resembling roots sprouted everywhere, ensnaring the yers.


    As their health points continued to decline rapidly, to their despair, the Hydra’s health points, initially almost depleted, began to replenish drastically.<div>


    “Damn it, continue to attack the Hydra. Kill it. It surely has only one healing skill.” Romeo was driven to the brink of insanity. He was struck by the poison explosion just now, killing him instantly. He was revived by a Druid.


    In just a fraction of a second, the Hydra had already killed nearly two hundred yers. Counting other pets’ kills, three hundred elite yers had disappeared.


    Because they had to obstruct the Hydra, the firepower directed towards Li Yao had practically ceased. With the continuous healing provided by the healers, the members of Starfire, unwounded, advanced into the gap.


    “The Hydra has torn a gap, follow me and pierce through their formation. One hundred to two hundred magic ss professions, check the front, the second wave of fire, Hydra.” Li Yao shouted in the guild channel.<div>


    The morale of the Starfire guild had gone through the roof. The yers at the back couldn’t see the situation at the front, but after hearing Li Yao’s words, how could they not be excited?


    They were all experts and fully aware of the fact that without the protection of closebat and meat shield roles, the Devil Alliance is like sheep awaiting the ughter.


    The Spider Tanks and the Fruit Knights at the very front finally broke into the opponent’s lines and began to charge forward from behind the Hydra.


    However, sustaining too much damage, the Hydra eventually fell.


    If they could clear their vision of the battlefield, they would see that the original fortifications resembled a chessboard, with both sides separated by their respective territories and defended by pawns.

    The opponent had broken into their lines and although they had melee fighters inside, it wasn’t enough to hold back the members of Starfire.


    Li Yao’s pets, plus the guild’s veteran members charging in front, created an overwhelming offensive. The scarce closebat fighters couldn’t stop them, not to mention the frail ranged yers.


    However, under the veil of the mist, attempting to gather melee fighters was easier said than done.


    Visibility was blurred beyond fifteen yards, verifying one’s location within the formation was challenging.


    Moreover, amid the chaotic screams and magic barrages, things were inplete disarray. Supporting the front lines where there was a gap was a major concern, but where was the gap exactly?

    The disappearance of their line of sight was indeed significant. With a visibility of fifteen yards in such chaotic conditions, even though spells were attacking the members of Starfire, they were no longer concentrated and were entirely within manageable limits.
