CH.103 Muscle Pains

 As I woke up, I felt some muscle pains from the training yesterday. It wasn’t terrible, but I definitely felt it. I think I can go about the day like normal, but I need to hold back on physical exercise for today.

 Knock, Knock

 I hadn''t gotten up yet when I heard a knock at the door.

 “Come in.” I gave permission.

 The door opened and Jenna stepped in.

 “Good morning, Lord Brian. May I ask how you are feeling?” Jenna asked.

 “Not too bad. A little sore.” I answered honestly. “Is breakfast about to be served?”

 “Not quite yet. Miss Alice sent me to check on you. She is not feeling so well so she wanted to know if you were the same.” Jenna told me.

 “I’m fine enough. If you give me a moment to change I cane and tell that to Alice myself.” I told Jenna.

 “That sounds fine. I’ll wait outside.” She said as she stepped out of my room.

 I quickly got dressed and did my other morning business. Laura also reminded me about the toploader Upstart Goblin I never activated yesterday, so I decided to add activating it into my morning routine. I got two gold coins and one small and tworge silver coins from upstart.

 I got out of my room and followed Jenna to Alice’s room. She was stillying in bed and Mana was sitting on the bed next to her. Did she call Mana to keep herpany?

 “Morning Alice.” I greeted her.

 “Good morning.” She responded. She didn’t sound bad, but then again, she isn’t sick, just having some muscle pains.

 “Are you feeling alright?” I asked even though I knew the answer.

 “No. My body is sore all over.” She told me.

 “I’m sorry. We trained too much yesterday.” I told her.

 “It’s not your fault. I wanted to do it as well.” Alice argued. “But you’d better not run off today. You’ll practice magic with me for the whole day as an apology.”

 “I’m not sure that is a good idea. I think you should take it easy for the day.”

 “No. We are practicing magic. I’ll learn that telekinesis thing so I can fly.” Alice said.

 “I’m not sure that’s a great idea.” I said to her. “Even I can’t hope to float myself with telekinesis yet. And I have Laura helping me.”

 “Then it’s a race. The winner is the one that can float first.” Alice announced. “And the loser will do whatever the winner demands.”

 … really? That’s not a good idea. Like at all.

 “Alice, I don’t thi…” I began, but Jenna interrupted me.

 “Alice, you can’t make promises like that.” Jenna scolded Alice. “Never ever promise to do ‘whatever’ to a male.”

 … well, I do agree, but that’s a harsh way of putting it. And didn’t you promise to do anything when Alice was in that dark bubble?

 “She is right, you know.” I told Alice. “Even if she is a hypocrite.” I muttered quietly.

 “You wouldn’t do anything bad, would you?” Alice asked.

 “Depends on what you consider bad.” I teased. Probably not the right time for that.

 “Brian.” Jenna turned to me. “Are you considering doing bad things with Miss Alice?”

 “Nope. Definitely not.” I told her.

 “So you are.” Jenna deduced. “You stereotypical male. Get out of the young miss''s room.”

 “Sure, but you are the one that let me in.” I said as I turned to leave.

 “Master, you really need to learn how to read the room better.” I heard Mana say.

 “Sorry, no can do.” I told her before I left the room.

 Honestly. What is the worst I would do? Probably use her as a test dummy in a card experiment or something. I should actually cash out that ‘I’ll do anything’ from Jenna. I want to find out if I can fuse a monster with a person and I have extra copies of Polymerization to do that with. I also have de-fusion in case it goes wrong. And even Monster Reborn.

 Now that I think about it, it’s a good thing I didn’t open my daily packs yet. I think the safest choice for a fusion would be a humanoid monster with the same attribute as Jenna’s strongest attribute. But I have no idea what that even is.

 Alice was carried by Mana to the dining room for breakfast. Brandon made ament about how his house was turning into a circus with all these magical girls showing up one after another. Don’t look at me. You are the one obsessed with a prophecy about a blond haired female magician, so you should wee Mana sticking around.

 After breakfast, I was in the parlor practicing the touchless mana loop with Alice. With us doing this every day, I hope I’ll get the mana cirction skill before I leave town.

 “Brian, can we take a break?” Alice asked after we had kept up the mana loop for about 30 minutes.

 “Sure, is something wrong?” I asked her. I was expecting us to go for at least an hour before she asked for a break.

 “It’s just… my mana is more difficult to move than usual.” She told me.

 “Ok. Let’s just take a break then.” I told her as I cut off the loop.

 “Alice, are you ok?” Jenna came up to her and asked.

 “I’m fine. I just need some rest.” Alice said.

 (Laura, could this be because of yesterday''s training?)

 (Possibly. Her mana might focus on the areas that are growing and that would make moving it more difficult.) Laura said.

 (I didn’t feel any difference with mine though.) I countered.

 (That is because I take care of Master’s mana. I make sure the mana that your body needs to heal can move perfectly.) Laura said.

 (You really are an overachiever and I love you for it.) I told her.

 “I think Alice’s mana is focusing on healing her body from yesterday. That’s why it’s more difficult for her to control it.” I said to Alice and Jenna.

 “I told you you should rest for the day.” Jenna said to Alice after hearing what I said.

 “But it’s boring. This is more fun.” Alice argued.

 “Rest is also important.” I reminded her. “Otherwise all the work we put in yesterday will just go to waste.”

 “But then what can we do?” Alice whined.

 “We could open some packs together.” I offered. “I haven’t done it today yet. There was also an experiment I wanted to run with Jenna.”

 Jenna looked at me with suspicion as I said that.

 “I won’t allow you to do lewd things with my body.” She said to me.

 “... why is that the first thing your mind goes to?” I asked.

 “Because you are a lusty male.” She told me.

 … Am I? I don’t think so. I haven’t even fapped sinceing to this world. It’s like I’m on a no nut November in the spring.

 “... is that really how you see me? Wow. That’s almost insulting. Have I even tried to make a move on you, Alice or anyone else in this house?” I asked.

 “Yes. You are constantly teasing Miss Alice. You clearly want her in bed with you.” Jenna told me.

 “Well toote for that. It already happened. And that wasn’t even my fault.” I responded.

 “See. This is what I mean.” Jenna said.

 “Jenna! Stop that!” Alice yelled at her maid.

 “As you wish.” Jenna went instantly into service mode.

 “So Brian, what is it that you wish to do with Jenna?” Alice asked.

 “I want to fuse her with one of my summons.” I answered.
