    “It seems like things are moreplicated than we expected,” the elder uttered in a somber tone.


    Jared quickly scanned his surroundings. That old demon has died and transformed into a cloud of


    ck mist before fading away. He was actually just a soul remnant. However, over the years, his soul


    remnant ended up looking like a real body. If he had swallowed the Ice Soul Pill! Now, his soul remnant


    is gone, so there''s no way he''s still alive!


    “Sir, what exactly is going on?” Jared asked in puzzlement.


    “He has escaped. Although he''s merely a soul remnant, he has sent a part of his soul elsewhere! His


    world will remain as long as there''s a strain of his soul remnant left! Yet, since he only has a strain of


    soul remnant left, I think he''s no longer a threat. He should be weak now, and he won''t live for very


    long!” the elder exined slowly.


    Jared also didn''t expect the old demon to be so meticulous. Who would''ve thought that the old demon


    would keep a strain of his soul remnant elsewhere?


    Right when Jared was about to let out a sigh of relief, he heard a cold voice ringing out.


    “Brother, you underestimate me. Did you really think I would escape?” Typhon stepped forward and


    shed a vicious smile.


    The rest of the Five yers were staring at Typhon in bafflement. Although they were shocked, they


    seemed to have seen thating.


    Apparently, the rest knew something was wrong when Typhon suddenly changed his expression


    moments earlier. As it turns out, the old demon has possessed Typhon''s body! The old demon couldn''t


    possibly merge with Typhon''s body in such a short period of time. Hence, Typhon must be possessed!


    Jared drew his brows together and nced at Typhon.


    “I see that you''ve possessed someone! However, you only have a strain of your soul remnant left. Even


    with the possession, you''re no longer powerful. Why didn''t you just flee? Did you think you could win


    against me by possessing someone?” Jared asked calmly.


    “Possession?” The old demon smiled. “I don''t possess others. This body is now mine!”


    Those words stunned everyone at the scene.


    Clearly, the old demon didn''t possess Typhon. Instead, he had exterminated Typhon''s divine soul.


    That way, Typhon''s body was only controlled by the old demon''s soul remnant. The body truly


    belonged to the old demon then.
