Malcolm wanted Rachel to step down?


    Rachel looked at Malcolm in shock. She had always known that he coveted the president''s position, and she had been worried about it.

    At first, she smiled. She even looked proud.


    Gradually, her expression changed. By the time she hung up, her face was ashen.


    Matthew was worried. He asked, "What did Mr. Carter Senior say?"


    Rachel looked sad. "Grandpa said he wouldn''t interfere. This is a test for me. How could I face any realpetition if I can''t even secure my position as the president?"
