Chapter 206

The call was from an unknown number. After a moment of hesitation, Matthew tapped on the screen to ept the call. "Hello, who''s this?"

Benjamin Stewart, the warden of Westbrook Prison, respectfully replied, "Hi, Mr. Grant. It''s me, Benji. You know, the one who always brings you snacks and drinks."

Benji? Matthew didn''t know of anyone calling themself Benji, but he did remember the man who used to get him snacks and drinks in the prison. That man was the warden of Westbrook Prison, but he didn''t know if he was really Benji. "Benji? No idea who that is." After saying that, Matthew was about to end the call.

However, Benjamin quickly shouted, "Hold on, Mr. Grant. I''m Benjamin Stewart, the warden of Westbrook Prison."novelbin

Matthew didn''t expect it to really be the person he was thinking of. "Oh, you''re Benji. That nickname is too young for your age. By the way, what''s up?"

Benjamin said with a fawning smile, "Mr. Stanford is asking for your help to treat his illness, Mr. Grant. He didn''t know how to reach you, so he came to me."

Matthew scratched his head. Benjamin used to help him find patients when he was in prison, which allowed him to practice medicine and earn money. Since Benjamin asked for his help, Matthew couldn''t turn him down. "Who is that?"

Benjamin grinned and said, "He owns a hospital, and his name is Austin Stanford. He is willing to pay 100 million dors." Matthew felt utterly speechless. Austin owned a hospital but couldn''t treat his own illness? What kind of person was that?

"You can say yes to him and give him my contact details. I''m tied up right now, so tell him to reach out in three days."

Benjamin excitedly said, "Sure thing! I''ll make sure he knows. He''ll get in touch with you in three days."

After hanging up, Matthew happened to see a cab approaching, and he gged it down. The taxi pulled over, and Matthew got in.

The driver looked at Matthew in the rearview mirror and nonchntly asked, "Where to? I''m off in 15 minutes. If it''s not on the way, I''m not going."

Matthew threw 10 thousand dors at the driver. "Can you work a littlete?"

The driver gaped at the money in shock. "Absolutely! Where do you need to go? I''ll head there right away."

Matthew grinned and said, "I''m not going anywhere, and I just want to find out something. Yesterday, a lot of trucks delivered medicinal herbs to a warehouse.

"I want to know where they dropped off the goods. Just give me the info, and the ten grand is yours."

Filled with excitement, the driver replied, "Alright. I''ll have the answer for you in ten minutes."

As the driver spoke, he pulled out his phone and asked in the chat groups, "Hey guys, my friend''s kid was hit by a car yesterday. It was one of the trucks delivering herbs. Does anyone know which warehouse they delivered the herbs to?" The cab driver sted the question in multiple chat groups. Soon, messages started flooding his phone.

After going through the messages for a while, the cab driver turned to Matthew and said, "The warehouse is in the eastern suburbs of Lambda, at the foot of Mt. Dranine.

"The ce is called Goldstore Warehouse, and it''s near the farmers'' market."

Matthew nodded. "Let''s go then. Take me straight to the warehouse entrance."

The driver said nothing and took off straight to the eastern suburbs.

    ...

Rachel''s phone started ringing in the office. She quickly picked up the call. "Did you figure out a way, Grandpa?"

In the video call, Fred looked much better. "I reached out to Austin Stanford. He''s a hospital director and the vice president of the Integrative Medicine Association. His son works in the health department, and his son-inw oversees drug review and approval. "Any pharmaceuticalpany or family has to show him some deference. However, his fees are a little high as he charges 30 million dors."

Rachel went quiet for a moment when the 30 million dors were mentioned, but she quickly made a decision.

"Give him 30 million dors, Grandpa. As long as he intervenes and stops the Smith family from causing more problems, it''s a great deal."
