Upon arriving at the entrance of Opulent Club, Matthew was about to call Ss when someone opened the car door and took a seat in the back. Matthew turned and spotted Ss. "How did you know I wasing to pick you up?"
Ss replied with a smile, "Lately, I''ve been waiting downstairs at our usual time. If you didn''t show up, I''d just go back upstairs." Matthew got the idea. "So you''re nning to head back to the clinic, right?"
Ss nodded. "I feel uneasy if I don''t help out in the clinic."
Matthew started the car and headed to the general clinic. Since the clinic only opened sporadically, it had no queue when they arrived.
Despite that, there were always a few cars parked outside every day. It looked like they never missed a day and were keeping watch by the door. When Matthew parked the car, he shot a few nces at them. With a darkened expression, Ss muttered, "Why are these people still around?" Matthew didn''t say anything and walked alongside Ss to the door. When they reached the door, they spotted a bunch of notices stuck up at the entrance. Matthew grabbed a random note and read, "Hello, Dr. Solomon. I''m 70 years old and in good health, but I''m getting less patient and more irritable."
Ss also took a paper note. After taking a read, he sighed andmented, "It''d be great to treat the patients at the clinic every day. None of these issues are serious. They just need regr healthcare. But if they go untreated for too long, other issues mighte up." Matthew took out a key and unlocked the door. After going inside, he added, "Since they left their phone numbers, give them a call and tell them toe here."
Ss put a stack of notes on the desk. "I''ll reach out to them right now." Ss was serious about his work and began contacting each patient who had left a note.
Suddenly, a few people barged in through the door. One of them held a knife against Ss'' throat. "Come with us."
Shaking with fear, Ss turned to Matthew and asked, "What do we do? Should we go with them?"
Matthew had been keeping an eye on the intruders since they entered the clinic, but he had no clue who they were. He wanted to find out
more about these people, so b
figured he''d go along with Sitas.
"Do we call the cops?"
Just as Matthew finished his sentence, someone whipped out a knife and pressed it against his chest. "Do you have a death wish? You''reing with us too."
He was waiting for exactly that, so he pretended to be scared and nervously followed them out of the clinic. Matthew and Ss were split up and shoved into two different cars.
In the back seat, Matthew had one
burly man on each side of him. He
kept his mouth shut and sat there calmly. He didn''t ask any questions or even say a word, obediently cooperating with them.
In his mind, he kept pondering who these people were, where they were going, and why they had taken Ss.
The cars drove out of the city and headed for the old industrial area. Eventually, they drove toward a dpidated factory and went inside.
When they got inside the factory, Matthew realized there was a lot more going on inside than he''d expected. The brand-new interior was worlds apart from the rundown look of the exterior.
The factory was filled with all sorts of medical equipment. There were doctors and nurses in white coats around. At first nce, this ce looked like a hospital. Matthew couldn''t figure out what was going on.
Ss looked around in panic. He frequently nced at Matthew, hoping Matthew would do something to rescue him.
Suddenly, a bald man in a whiteb coat walked over. He was a beefy guy, with robust arms and a neck that was thicker than the average person''s.
Upon seeing this man, Matthew''s eyes turned wary. His physique indicated that he was a serious martial artist, likely built to withstand hits and deliver heavy blows.
The bald man kept his eyes on Matthew and Ss. "Which one of you is Ss Solomon, the Gugleni Sect''s sessor?"
One of his men pointed at Ss. "This man is Ss, Mr. Warner. We have found that he''s learned the techniques from Gugleni Sect, and his sess rate in treating patients is impressive."
