Trevor could feel the gravity of the situation with what Brad had said, so he stepped hard on the gas pedal and sped through the roads once again.
In a room on the basement''s first floor of Clearwater Psychiatric Hospital, Matthew wielded the Apex de in one hand as he stared at Horace.
He had to admit that Horace''s presence was very imposing-thetter had an upright posture, white hair, youthful features, and eyes as sharp as an eagle''s.
Horace was shocked to see Das in such a pitiful state. His clothes were almost fully stained with blood, and his hands were injured while his face bore a swollen bruise. Das'' voice was also so weak that it was almost inaudible.
Horace''s face carried a trace of shock. He never thought there''d be anyone who could pull off something so vicious! He then looked at Matthew with a frosty re.
"Did you do this?"
Matthew casually replied, "I did."
Upon hearing his response, Horace narrowed his eyes sharply. "Don''t you know that he''s my nephew? I''ve mentioned it before."
Matthew then said, "I do."
In an instant, Horace''s expression twisted ferociously. "So, you did this to him knowing that he was my nephew?"
Matthew then replied coldly, "Don''t you know what he''s done?"
Horace spoke with a chill. "This is a hospital to cure people of their illnesses, so if anything were to happen, it''d at most be a doctor-patient dispute. I don''t care what he''s done, but I''m here to back him up!"
Matthew then pointed at Das and said, "He took a perfectly healthy man into the psychiatric hospital and forced the man to be a psychiatric patient using the medications here! Does this count as curing people of their illnesses?"
Horace froze for a while. He never expected Das to do something like that, but he still roared in dissatisfaction, "I don''t care what happened between the both of you, but you can''t hurt him in front of me!"
At that, Matthew burst into fury. "Why not?"
He had thought that Horace would feel at least shocked or guilty when he learned of the truth.
After all, anyone would get angry if they heard that a doctor had tortured a perfectly healthy person into a psychiatric patient.
But Horace didn''t care at all. In his eyes, the injustice and misery other people had to face were all insignificant!
Horace looked at Matthew with much disdain as he said, "Why not? Because I''m the General of the Southern Army, and I''ve got 100 thousand soldiers in mymand.
"My status is so powerful that even the mayor of Lambda City would have to bow down before me! You asked me why not, but isn''t my name and status enough of a reason?"
Just then, the Apex de slid across Das'' neck and drew fresh blood. In response, Das clutched onto his neck to stop the blood from flowing.
However, the blood trickled down his neck readily and couldn''t be stopped. The blood ran down his fingers and soon reached his chest.
Das was so frightened that he kicked his legs in a struggle, while Horace''s eyes widened in shock.
Horace couldn''t understand Matthew at all. He was a well-known figure as well, but just where did Matthew receive the guts to sh the neck of the person he wanted to protect?
When Sebastian saw this particr scene, his knees gave out. Matthew had to be mad! How could he humiliate Horace like this? Was he trying to dig his own grave?
Matthew flung the Apex de aside, and the blood that was staining the de dripped and sttered onto the ground. He looked as if he were casually holding onto a fly swatter and beating a mosquito to death.
As Matthew looked at Horace, he said, "So what if you''re Horace Wood?" Immediately, Horace''s face contorted, and he gritted his teeth in anger. "Very well. You must have a death wish! How dare you kill my nephew who I''ve been trying to protect!"
Then, Matthew said, "Not only did I kill Das, but I''ve also killed Isaac!"
Horace was in disbelief. He thought he had heard him wrong. "Who did you say you killed?"
He had lost contact with Das two days ago, and no one had been able to find him, which was why Horace had personallye to Lambda City to rescue Das.
His second objective was to find his biological nephew, Isaac, but now that Matthew had just revealed the fact that he had killed Isaac, he couldn''t take it in. Matthew nodded and said, "I killed Isaac, and my name is Matthew Grant!"
All of a sudden, Horace''s vision went out, and his head began to spin. His knees gave out, and he copsed to the ground.
Just then, the three people by the side hurried forward to support him.
"Mr. Wood!"
"What''s wrong, Mr. Wood? Please get up!"
The three of them quickly worked together by pinching his nose, shouting at him loudly, and prying his eyes open.
After a long period, Horace finally managed to catch his breath and regain consciousness. He slowly opened his eyes and struggled to get up-both his legs were too weak to stand.
At that, the three of them gathered to support him and help him stand.
Horace then pointed at Matthew and said, "How... How could you?"
Matthew replied with a chill in his tone, "Isaacid his hands on my woman right in front of me. Say, what''s there to hesitate about? We can always talk after I kill
him!"
Upon hearing that, Horace fumed so
badly with anger that he pointed at Matthew with trembling hands and roared, "I don''t care about your excuses! I kill you for killing Isaac! I''ll kill you!"
