I didn''t refuse. After all, I didn''t have much work to do. Once I finished it, the rest of the day would be mine. If we celebrated in the morning, we could work in the afternoon.
Zane looked at me and asked, "Is there anywhere you''d like to go or anything you''d like to do?"
I understood that he wanted to fulfill my wishes. After thinking for a moment, I couldn''te up with any must-visit ces. So, I hesitated and asked, "How about we go to thepany instead?"
Zane had little experience with rtionships. When he heard what I said, he looked slightly disappointed but nodded and agreed, "Okay."
On the way back, I suddenly realized that since the prick had been imprisoned, I hadn''t really kept track of his situation. Now that I thought about it, Otis should have been released from prison a long time ago.
He held grudges, and since my mother and I had ruined him so badly, he would definitely try to find a way to get back at me.
I had to monitor his situation, so I took out my phone and searched for his name.
The results came up quickly-Otis had been released from prison several years ago.
As I read the news, I couldn''t help but smile.
At first, Otis thought about going to his mistress, Thana Lewis, and daughter, Yelena Jamison, for help. However, after they took all his money, they began to look down on him for having nothing left and rejected him. They even had the security guards throw him out of their house.
Though neither of them were particrly good people, in a way, they had gotten back at him for me. My mood improved slightly. What disappointed me, though, was that despite Otis'' poor character, he still had a good work ethic.
In the following years, Otis started his own business, and surprisingly, it was fairly sessful. He even remarried. I looked at a photo of his new wife and couldn''t help but frown. He didn''t deserve such a beautiful woman.
Later, when his mistress and daughter saw that he had be sessful, they regretted their actions and came to beg for forgiveness. However, he did not forgive them.
I withdrew my gaze. Evil people would always end up tormenting each other. No matter who was at the losing end, I found it satisfying. After all, I hated all of them.
However, among all these good pieces of news, there were also some less favorable ones.
For example, Otis has frequently visited the city I lived in. I knew he was still holding a grudge over the revenge my mother and I took him back then, and now he''s probably waiting to take action against me.

Of course, I wasn''t afraid. I could already predict what Otis nned to do without giving it much thought. His tricks were that obvious.
However, my mother was still around. I couldn''t just sit by and see her in danger.
I managed to get the prick''s phone
number and called him myself. "So, you''ve figured out my identity and other information by now. If I''m not wrong, you''re nning toe after me, right? Before you do anything, I think we should meet in person."
As soon as Otis heard what I said, he guessed my identity. He responded irritably You still have the nerve to meet me? Aren''t you scared that I
might just strangle you right away?"
IMS
I replied calmly, "If I have the courage to suggest meeting you, it means I''m not afraid at all. Pick a time and ce, and we can have a proper conversation."
Otis sneered, "Why should I meet with you?"
Many of his ns would be exposed if they met, so he believed avoiding the meeting was the best option. It would allow him to proceed quietly with his ns.
I calmly replied, "Because you don''t have a choice."
