Luyao tightly clenched her hands, finally managing to calm herself down. How could Han Xing possibly be so wealthy? She was well aware of the bankruptcy that had befallen the Han family; even their mansion had been mortgaged.
If he wanted to buy it back, he would need at least ten billion. The enormous figure made Luyao feel dizzy and disoriented. She sat down, holding onto the chair to steady her restless heart.
Back then, the Han family was considered a prominent household in Rainbow City. If it weren’t for Liu Feng’s sweet words deceiving her, how could she have ended up joining forces with Liu Feng and destroying the Han family? The more she thought about it, the more unwilling she felt, believing that everything was all Liu Feng’s fault!
On the other hand, Han Xing brought Shangguan Xun to Han’s mansion. As they arrived, Shangguan Xun looked around and couldn’t help butugh, saying, “It’s a bit too deste around here. How about hiring some gardeners to decorate this courtyard nicely? Your sister is a little girl; she’ll love it.”
Upon hearing her words, Han Xing also found some truth in them and nodded. “No problem. I’ll get it done.”
When the two entered the living room, they found Han Yanran sitting on the balcony, engrossed in her book. The moment she saw Shangguan Xun, her eyes were filled with delight.
“Miss Shangguan is here! Xing, why didn’t you tell me in advance?” She was her lifesaver, Han Yanran, hurriedly put on the slippers on the floor and jogged over.
“It’s alright, it’s alright,” Shangguan Xun hurriedly waved her hand. “Just getting along is fine. I’m around the same age as you.”
Shangguan Xun spoke in such a manner, her gaze continually assessing Han Yanran’s situation, “Why don’t you have a seat, so we can have a chat?”
“Han Xing, why don’t you hurry up and make me a cup of tea as the host?” Shangguan Xun joked, only to suddenly notice a change in Han Yanran’s expression. Her heart skipped a beat, and she immediately pulled herself together.
When she took a closer look, she noticed that Han Yanran had returned to her normal appearance. Could it be that the breakthrough was rted to Han Xing? A daring spection formed in her mind.
Han Xing felt a bit helpless upon hearing Shangguan Xun’s words. “What kind of tea can a young girl as you drink?” Nevertheless, he went to fetch some tea leaves from his home and brewed a cup for her.
As soon as he stepped into the living room, Shangguan Xun promptly grabbed his arm and plopped down beside him, resting her head on Han Xing’s shoulder.
“Yanran, from now on 1 have to call you my sister. My rtionship with your brother is especially good, and it’s all thanks to you for introducing us!”
Han Yanran’s eyes flickered with confusion for a moment. “Really? Is that so?”
Shangguan Xun pressed on with the advantage, saying, “Of course! When the two of us get married, I will give you a big red envelope as a gift!”
Han Xing was taken aback by his sudden move, barely able to get a word in before witnessing Han Yanran abruptly stand up and grab the tea on the table, sshing it towards Shangguan Xun. Reacting quickly, Han Xing swiftly pulled Shangguan Xun to her feet.
“No! Impossible! Xing can only be mine!” Han Yanran’s eyes were filled with a bloodthirsty re as she stared at Shangguan Xun with malicious intent.
“Who are you exactly?” Shangguan Xun scrutinized the other person with caution, while Han Xing seamlessly positioned themselves in front of Shangguan Xun.
Han Xing’s defensive stance and appearance drove Han Yanran to the brink of madness. With a twisted expression, she red at Han Xing and said, “Xing, get out of my way. I want this woman dead!”
“You’re not my sister. Who are you exactly?” Han Xing red at the person in front of her, speaking in a cold tone, utterly convinced that she was definitely not Han Yanran.
“How could I not be? It’s all because of this wicked woman; it’s all her fault!” Han Yanran’s voice was sharp and piercing as if she wanted to tear Shangguan Xun into pieces.
“It seems to be an issue of witchcraft poison on her,” Shangguan Xun murmured, unaware that Han Yanran overheard her.
She burst intoughter. “What witchcraft poison? Xing, we are destined to be together. 1 came here because of a divine arrangement!”
“We are meant to be together for eternity.” Her gaze carried a hint of enchantment as she slowly approached Han Xing, her fingers lingeringly caressing his face.
Just as Han Xing was about to dodge, he noticed that Han Yanran’s face was already covered in a cold sweat, and her body was trembling uncontrobly. In the next moment, Han Yanran’s eyes regained rity.
There was still a little confusion in her eyes, but before she could start asking, her body fell straight down.
After Han Xing carried the fainted Han Yanran into the room, Shangguan Xun wasted no time and immediately felt her pulse. As she made her diagnosis, more doubts arose in her mind.
“Something’s wired. There doesn’t seem to be any major issues with her body, but she’s suffering from a deficiency of qi and blood as if her body has been drained.”
Upon hearing this, Han Xing was also taken aback. Since Han Yanran returned home, he had purchased various supplements for her and even supervised her daily intake. How could she be physically weakened to such an extent?
“I observed her for a while here, and her condition seems somewhat like schizophrenia, where another personality seems heavily reliant on you and knows more than the dominant personality.”
Han Xing nodded at Shangguan Xun’s words, thinking about Han Yanran’s recent changes, most likely due to himself.
“Don’t stimte her too much for now; let’s figure out the reason first.”
The trembling appearance of Han Yanran made Han Xing feel a pang of pity and also anxious that Han Yanran might hurt Shangguan Xun.
“Don’t worry, I’ll handle it with discretion.” Shangguan Xun had never encountered such a peculiar situation before. She nced at Han Xing and asked, “Otherwise, I can temporarily stay here with you and observe her condition.”
“That would be great. I appreciate your help.” Han Xing still needed to go to the hospital to retrieve Han Yanran’s documents in the afternoon, and he wasn’t entirely at ease leaving Shangguan Xun alone at home.
After expressing his concerns to Shangguan Xun, he didn’t expect her to burst intoughter.
“Don’t worry so much. Your sister’s health is not as good as mine, and I react much faster than she does. Guild Master, you go attend to your matters first!”
While Han Xing went to the hospital to retrieve Han Yanran’s information, at the same time, Luyao also freshened up her appearance and arrived at Liu Feng’spany.
“Is there something you called me here for?” Luyao, familiar with the routine, sat in a nearby chair, only to be unexpectedly pulled into Liu Feng’s embrace.
He paid no attention to whether the secretary was present or not, as his hands roamed freely over Luyao’s body.
A flicker of disgust shed in Luyao’s eyes, but she reluctantly went along with it. Liu Feng smirked and said, “What else could it be for? How’s the situation with Star Rebel beentely? Have you gathered any information?”
“This time 1 heard that he wants all the yers in the guild to participate in the individual leaderboard ranking.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Liu Feng sneered, “Who does he think he is? But…”
He changed the subject, “Have you heard any news about Han Xingtely?”
“What do you mean by that?” Luyao jumped off him, her voice getting louder, “Are you suspecting that I have a connection with him?”
“Of course not,” Liu Feng said leisurely, “Han Xing has be wealthy now and redeemed Han’s mansion, so I suspect that his moneyes from dubious
sources..”
