Chapter 15: Mysterious Bloodlust

Weiss was aware of his weakness, but he made no attempts to conceal his murderous intentions. His demeanor suggested he was willing to eliminate every person in sight if given the opportunity.
Unfortunately, not only was he heavily injured, but also poisoned to the extent that it was hard for him to even gather any strength. Even his blood had started turning ck because of the poison.
It was shocking that even under such a condition, he had managed to keep fighting, and came so far. However, this was also the hardest situation for him to be in. As more time went on, the poison spread even more inside his body, weakening him even more.
He knew that he was running out of time, but he refused to give up. He was determined to see this through to the end, no matter what the cost.
He firmly grasped the hilt of his sword, though it felt weighty as if he was carrying a mountain due to his exhaustion.
However, as he was about to fight his way, the woman raised her Staff high. A strange magical aura surrounded the Wizard''s Staff, as if ying with herws of this ce.
In an instant, Weiss felt a significant increase in gravitational force, causing him to nearly copse onto his knees.
He heaved out another stream of blood tainted with poison. Despite bleeding from his legs and visible veins, he refused to copse.
With immense pressure weighing him down, he lifted his sword and swung it with all his might, pouring his conviction and strength into the violent strike.
A dark energy arc emitted from his sword, appearing even more powerful than before. However, Wiess had used up all his strength and lost his bnce, copsing to the ground on his knees.
His eyes appeared dull and unfocused, and his hands became almost immovable, as if his body had stopped responding to hismands.
He watched his final attack with solemnity. Despite the odds against him, he couldn''t bear to go down without a fight. In the end, he found sce in the thought that he may have taken someone down with him before his inevitable death.
The dark, menacing surge of energy mercilessly swept away all obstacles that dared to cross its path, heading straight towards the Wizard, as if seeking to subject her to an agony even more excruciating than death itself. Yet, with swift determination, the Wizard readied herself to erect a protective shield just as the attack approached.
Despite the attack being powerful, it was fortunately weakened by the presence of poison, which prevented it from being as severe as it potentially could have been. She had confidence in her ability to protect herself.
With unwaveringposure, she summoned a robust magical barrier that shielded her from harm. There was no hint of fear or distress in her demeanor.
A striking blue barrier materialized in front of the young girl, perfectlyplementing the natural hue of her deep blue eyes. Its remarkable strength seemed to rival the power of lightning bolts.
Watching the scene, Raven felt angry. However, at the same time, he felt taken aback at the strength that his brother and these two women possessed. This was the strength of the people who killed his brother? But why? Why would they want to kill him? Why was a human working with them to kill one of their own? Just what led to this scene? Was this really the ce where his brother died?
There were many questions in his head. Watching his brother covered in blood was hard but he couldn''t change this reality. He could only imprint this scene deep within his heart. These two people... He didn''t know who they were. However, he had memorized their faces!
Weiss'' attack shed with the barrier of the young woman. However, contrary to the woman''s expectations, the attack proved to be far more powerful than she expected.
Instantly and almost effortlessly, her barrier shattered into countless fragments, much like a sheet of delicate ss.
The young woman was taken aback. Her expressions instantly turned. She hadn''t expected this attack to be this strong. That''s why she hadn''t prepared anything else. She couldn''t dodge it now. She couldn''t even teleport as that spell took time toe into effect.
As the ominous energy approached her, she lifted her staff and shut her eyes, channeling all her magical power into creating a fresh barrier. Despite her efforts, she couldn''t shake the feeling that it was futile. Confronting the possibility of imminent death, she was filled with fear and uncertainty.
In contrast, the Archangel remained motionless and indifferent, showing no signs of willingness to assist the human mage.
Despite the poison increasingly impairing his vision, Weiss refused to give up and remained on his bleeding knees. His heart was filled with turmoil and an unwavering determination to keep fighting.
For five unrelenting years, he had fought tirelessly, determined to achieve a single objective - to ascend to the pinnacle of Hellfire and obtain the vital information required to wake his brother. But now, he knelt on the ground, immobilized and powerless, staring death squarely in the face.
He did not derive any satisfaction from taking the life of his enemies before his demise. Rather, he simply lifted his gaze upwards, observing the sky.
"I failed..." Only two words escaped his lips as he closed his eyes. He felt that this was the end of his long journey.
However, right then, he felt another aura which made him open his eyes.
As the Mage was on the verge of being hit, a sudden figure descended before her. A man-like being with wings resembling those of a dragon stood before her. He appeared right between the woman and the attack. He raised his right hand.
Without resorting to any magic, he relied solely on his own physical strength to stop the attack that even the strongest barrier failed to block. His seemingly unyielding power seemed to surpass that of everyone present here.
He stopped the attack with bare hands. His dragon-like wings made the man look even more charming. Even though his body wasn''t bulky, he didn''t look weak either. Instead, he had a noble aura around him. It was a Draconian!
"Lord Arze!" The young-looking mage eximed, watching a tall figure standing before her.
Standing in the distance, even Raven was taken aback as he heard that name! He had seen that name before as well! It was at the top of Bloodline Ranking... The Draconian Named Arze!
"I suppose the others will be here as well?" Weiss didn''t reveal any fear. Instead, he simply gazed in the distance, ncing at Arze.
Suddenly, Arze sprang into motion with such great speed that it seemed as though he had instantly teleported to his new location.
He suddenly appeared beside Wiss and forcefully mmed his right hand behind Wiss'' head, causing it to collide with the ground.
"You!" Raven''s fists tightened even more. Even though he knew that the current him wouldn''t have been their match even if he was there in reality, he still felt the urge to rush in and kill all those bastards!
His entire body was engulfed in bloodlust that even he didn''t realize. It was a bloodlust that wasn''t seen often, since it seemed toe from deep within. It was as if he wanted to ughter everyone who even so much as touched his brother!
After mming Weiss'' head on the ground, the Draconian removed his hand, standing straight while he looked down on Weiss.
Weiss was weaker than he had ever been. Most of his bones already felt as if they were broken, and he was also under the effect of heavy gravity.
Despite having blood covering his entire face, he tried to lift himself up by cing both his hands on the ground. However, the Draconian saw his chance and raised his foot, bringing it down heavily on Weiss'' head, causing him to get mmed to the ground once again.
"Go ahead. Stand up." Arzemented, his voice feeling ice cold. However, he didn''t even give Weiss an opportunity to stand up as he mercilessly kept stomping on him, as if he was enjoying the situation.
In the end, despite knowing that it wasn''t the present timeline, Raven couldn''t control himself. It was as if he was overtaken by his bloodlust. He called out the Nameless Sword, rushing ahead, not caring about anything else!
"Take your filthy foot off my brother!" He roared like a blood crazed demon!
