Chapter 41: Return to the Main

41 Chapter 41: Return to the Main

Raven held his Nameless Sword firmly in his hand. So far, only Julien stood before him.

Julien raised his ming Sword. However, before he could attack, he heard footstepsing from behind him which caught both their attention.

Startled, Raven realized that a group of people was approaching, not just one person. As they drew nearer, he noticed their high-tier equipment, rivaling even Julien''s own gear.

Although most of their faces were unfamiliar, one thing was clear—they were all human yers and members of the guild.

In the distance, he also noticed Yui, who was apanying Quinn who had stopped bleeding, but his arm was still missing. His face was shrouded in clear anger.

Julien looked back, noticing quite a few Guild Members rushing toward him, along with the old man.

He turned to Raven. With so many people, there was no chance for Raven''s resistance. He issued onest warning.

"As I said, there is no escape. It is toote now. Surrender.... This shall be myst warning! Please don''t make me do this!"

Behind Julien, a swarm of guild members and the old man hurriedly closed in on them.

Feeling outnumbered, Raven knew that his chances had gone down a lot, yet his expressions didn''t falter. He wasn''t prepared to surrender or meet his end here. His eyes scanned his surroundings, searching for an opportunity.

Instead of responding to Julien''s warning, he raised his Nameless Sword defiantly, pointing it at Julien in a challenge.

The unexpected gesture caused Julien to sigh deeply, realizing Raven''s intentions. Even till the end, the man was stubborn.

He knew that the old man wanted to see through Raven''s memories but Raven didn''t want that. That was how this entire problem became so big.

He didn''t know what Raven wanted to hide, but he also didn''t want to forcefully see through someone''s memories.

In one final act of assistance, Julien decided to help Raven onest time by offering him a swift death, allowing his memories to fade away with him.

This way, he was granting onest wish of the person whose life he saved previously, without betraying the guild and letting him escape.

"So be it," Julien uttered, and his entire demeanor transformed. The air around him turned frigid, and his ming sword burned with intensified ferocity, capable of melting metal within seconds.

Raven remainedposed, observing Julien as he prepared to attack.

Suddenly, he moved, disying exquisite footwork. Though the Nameless Sword was heavy, it possessed a deceptive sharpness that could slice through anything, despite its apparent bluntness.

Julien anticipated Raven''s attack, but he was taken aback when he witnessed the mid-air redirection of Raven''s sword.

Raven deftly turned his wrist, swinging the sword to his left. In an instant, a nightmare beast in the hallway shrieked in agony as the de passed through it.

"You!" Julien eximed, realization dawning upon him.

His Sword came shing down, firing a ming arc toward Raven, which should''ve been enough to make sure that not even his ashes were left behind. He couldn''t allow Raven to escape, especially after deciphering his n.

Raven remained unfazed even in the face of the attack, his calm demeanor unyielding. It was toote for Julien to alter the oue. In fact, he had been waiting for this precise moment, knowing that a nightmare beast would appear before him.

As the wounded nightmare beast let out a piercing cry, it attracted other Nightmare Beasts who flooded the passage in an unstoppable tide.

Julien''s attack struck the nightmare beasts, ying a few, but it failed to reach Raven.

Hundreds of nightmare beasts stood as an imprable barrier between them, obscuring Julien''s view of Raven. All he could perceive was Raven''s voice carried by the cacophony of shrieking synonymous with the new King of Bloodline Trials.

    creatures.

"The next time we meet, the oue will be much different," Raven''s voice echoed.

Julien hastily entered the maze, determined to catch up to Raven, but the nightmare beasts impeded his progress.

On the other side of the nightmare beasts, Raven found himself encircled by the horde.

A bright light spread through his surroundings as Raven finally switched to his Main Avatar. In the blinding light, his eye color gradually reverted to its usual hue and his physique changed in a very subtle manner.

His attire underwent a transformation, shifting back to the clothes he had worn before he had turned to his Puppet Master Avatar.

With his return to his Main Avatar, a surge of familiarity washed over him, restoring his previous strength. He had missed this strength a lot during his time as the Puppet Master.

[The Demon General of Blood is looking at you with great interest]

    [The Demon General of...]

As soon as he returned to his main avatar, his passive Bloodline Skills also activated on their own.

His return invoked the interest of various demon generals, as messages shed across multiple screens, notifying him of the attention he garnered. However, Raven disregarded these distractions, realizing that he had no time to dwell on them at the moment.

The profound sense of power coursed through his veins, reaffirming that his main avatar far surpassed the Puppet Master inbat prowess.

With a single sweeping sh, he effortlessly sliced through the nightmare beasts that had amassed around him. His mana reserves had replenished and increased by a lot in his Main Avatar, but he knew that lingering in this ce was useless as there was no end to these Nightmares.

With his left hand, he kept killing every Nightmares Beasts who came closer to him. With his right hand, he wore all his High Tier items, including all the recovery rings.

At the moment, in Beginner Ind, there was not a single person who was better equipped than him.

The blood-red robe fluttered as he draped it over his shoulders, a symbol that had be synonymous with the new King of Bloodline Trials.

In the past, the ying of a few nightmare beasts was enough to level up his Puppet Master avatar. Yet, with his high-level main avatar, he found that he was only able to level up once after killing dozens of Nightmare Beasts.

He also noticed one more change. Usually, Nightmare Beasts couldn''t be killed without use of Mana but it came as a pleasant surprise to him that he could kill the Nightmare Beasts with the Nameless Sword, even without using Mana, which saved a lot of his energy.

With every step he took, he killed tens of nightmare beasts, their agonized shrieks escting in intensity. At the entrance of the maze, Julien embarked on his own relentless assault, cutting down any nightmarish creatures obstructing his path, determined to catch up to Raven.

Following Quinn''s instructions, the remaining guild members rallied together, joining the pursuit of Raven through the maze gued by nightmares…
