Chapter 47. Promise Made in a Dream

Suturu and Aibi looked at the new creature and did not understand why instead of two dog girls there was only one. The short white and yellow fur dress, which began below the shoulders and ended in the middle of her thick thighs, went well with the color of her hair and the fur bracelets on her arms and legs. Only the red-brown eyes with lights instead of pupils "resisted" the dominance of one color.

"Finally, I''m whole," the dog girl sighed. "But soon you will not be whole."

"Who are you?" the dolls asked at the same time.

“I didn’t introduce myself?” the girl touched the dog''s ears with her hands. “I am Noruluya, the spirit of the dog. I came because you were hurting the animal girls.”

“I didn’t do anything to the animal girls,” Suturu admitted. “I did something to someone with feathers.”

“That means I’ll only destroy the green one,” Noruluya smiled.

"I''m not green, I''m Aibi," the green-haired doll said. "And you''re someone with dog ears and two tails."

“This is my sister,” Suturu pointed at Aibi. “She’s Aibi, and I’m Suturu. Don''t get confused.”

“Sisters cannot live without each other,” Noruluya smiled. “So I will destroy you both.”

"Sorry, Noru, Kimchan," the dog girl looked at the sky.

Noruluya rose above the treetops. Two sparks appeared on either side of her, quickly catching fire and soon turning into fireballs.

“She created two balls because there are two of us, one for me and one for you,” Suturu guessed. “Which one will you catch?”

“That one,” Aibi pointed with her hand. “It''s for you, it''s for me. But if I catch it, he''ll burn or explode my body, and I''ll have to recover.”

“Therefore, it is better not to catch it, but to protect myself from it.”

The fireballs flew towards Suturu and Aibi, but collided with the energy barrier that had saved them last time. Now its walls couldn''t withstand it. Two powerful explosions destroyed the energy shell, but did not harm the dolls.

Itinit landed in the courtyard of the fortress at the entrance to the residence and immediately noticed the one he was looking for. A legless penguin with antennas on its head was motionless "hanging" in the air and did not pay any attention to the other being.

"It wants to get into the residence, but he can''t," Itinit guessed. "I''m very lucky. The battle will be short."

A clot of blue energy appeared in Itinit''s hand. Taikuron was surrounded by a barely noticeable square barrier, which began to shrink...

But the electric penguin turned out to be no easy opponent. As soon as the walls of the barrier approached the antennas, the lights on them filled with a red glow, after which Taikuron disappeared.

"Taikuron has already found own other half," a voice sounded in Itinit''s head. "Don''t stop Taikuron from getting to it."

"But you can''t get in there," Itinit mentally responded to his opponent''s words. "You just hang in the air in front of the entrance and do nothing."

"Taikuron doesn''t know how to get in. Taikuron tries, but he can''t."

    "I can tell you."

"Taikuron knows about it. Taikuron will take what it needs itself."

A crackling sound of electric discharges was heard above Itinit''s head. The guy looked up and saw Taikuron above him and two clots of lightning next to him.

Itinit realized that the penguin was going to extract data from him. The guy knew that it was impossible to escape to the residence while Tuot and Etinnei were there, but he decided to try to deceive Taikuron.

The clots turned into electric balls, after which lightning ran between them. Itinit jumped back, swiped his finger in front of him and summoned a blue square energy barrier.

Electric clots continued to appear around the barrier, because they could not penetrate inside.

Itinit knew that the enemy was reading his thoughts, so he could not think. But despite this, he did not give up, because he was already in a hopeless situation and got out of there in a battle with the healing doll Yuehei.

Itinit created a blue translucent energy ball with a spark inside in his hand, and then released it. The ball passed through the wall of the barrier and crashed into the first electrical clot that came his way.

An explosion occurred. The clot disappeared, and the lightning that flew out of it pushed the clot next to it.

Itinit created one energy ball with a spark inside in each hand. They were enough to destroy all the electrical clots around the barrier, and the lightning that flew out of the latter even reached Taikuron, and he had to redirect it to the side.

Itinit released two balls again: one with a snowflake, the other with a spark. Taikuron stopped the ball with a spark with it gaze, and tried to destroy the ball with a snowflake with lightning that formed between it antennas.

The ball with a spark was stopped, but the ball with a snowflake dodged the lightning and crashed into its fiery brother.

An explosion occurred, leaving behind a cloud of steam. It hid Itinit from the penguin''s view, and he took advantage of this to hide behind a fence.

But Taikuron quickly spotted his opponent and emerged from the fence. It was a trap. As soon as the penguin''s head passed through the palisade, the walls of the barrier surrounded him and then closed in. Itinit stood next to him with his hand outstretched, unable to believe that he had finally caught this strange creature.

The voltage between the antennas increased, and the lights changed color to purple. Several electrical clots appeared inside the barrier, which almost instantly turned into balls and released a multitude of lightning bolts.

Itinit summoned a stone pot, similar to a plant pot, to place Taikuron in, but it was too late. The barrier was destroyed by the electromagnetic field. Soon Itinit had to create an energy barrier himself to protect himself from lightning and the enemy''s signal.

Taikuron''s antennas began to generate current like crazy. The lights at its ends glowed with a bright purple light. This was the highest stage of the penguin''s brain voltage...

Electric balls appeared all around the perimeter of the barrier in such large numbers that they soon began to collide with each other...

"Taikuron will receive your data and find it other half," a voice sounded in Itinit''s head.

The walls of the barrier gradually began to dissolve into thin air. Itinit realized that the enemy was using his most powerful skill to destroy the barrier and extract the data from his brain.A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Last time, in Yenekit, there was a yellow lizard nearby that removed negative effects and prevented them from being applied. But now Itinit was alone before a force that seemed to leave him no chance.

But Itinit did not give up. He aimed the pot at Taikuron, in which purple energy had been accumulating all this time. The walls of the barrier became less and less noticeable, and then began to shimmer...

… A thick beam of purple energy shot out from the pot, quickly reaching Taikuron and turning his body into an energy silhouette. The barrier around Itinit disappeared, and for a moment he felt the urge to let go of the penguin. It was the influence of it signal.

But the pot could no longer be turned. The purple beam slowly sucked the energy out of Taikuron and transferred it to the pot. The electric balls turned into clots and then dissolved into the air.

    "Taikuron will be whole again..."

... The area around changed dramatically. Instead of a volcano crater, Itinit stood on the bank of a wide river, more like a lake. A mixed forest bordered by a rocky cliff reached the shore.

"This place is not real," Itinit guessed. "I am in the memories of Taikuron."

There was a rustling of leaves. A gray-violet puppy, like a fox, with small rounded ears on top of its head, jumped out of the forest.

"It is an arctic fox in its summer uniform," Itinit guessed. "This animal does not live in these parts. Why is it here?"

"Etinnei!" a cry came from the forest. "Where are you?"

A few moments later, a girl with long black hair, a black leather jacket, a skirt, and knee-high boots ran out of the forest. She was holding a wrench in her hand.

“Here you are,” the girl sighed. "Don''t run away from me. I won''t do anything to you.”

A penguin with three horns appeared above the Arctic fox''s head: two of them looked like Taikuron''s antennas, and the third was on his forehead and looked like an ice cream cone.

“She wants to take me away from you,” Itinit heard Taikuron’s voice. "If she does, you won''t be able to speak to me."

The arctic fox''s body began to glow white. A few moments later, a girl with shoulder-length black hair, wearing a gray-purple fur top and shorts, stood in its place.

“I won’t give it to you,” Etinnei answered. "It is my friend."

"But he''s giving you nightmares," the girl with the wrench said.

    “Yes, but...” Etinnei looked down.

“I want you to be able to sleep normally.”

The lights on the penguin''s antennas turned yellow.

A blue-white icy aura appeared around Etinnei, and she jumped back onto the river water and stood on the ice floe that had formed. The penguin moved behind her. The end of an icicle appeared from the animal girl’s sleeve.

The girl with long black hair pointed the key at the arctic fox girl and pulled her back to the shore. The penguin, which was above Etinnei''s head, remained in place, but it was also slowly pulled towards the character''s body.

A loud bird cry rang out in Itinit''s head, but the penguin''s mouth remained closed. The lights on it antennas turned first red and then purple. It tried with all his might to stay in place, but it couldn''t.

A shell with a horn on it forehead separated from the penguin, and then it was pulled toward Etinnei. Above the ice floe there was a body with antennas on the top of its head.

The bird cry became louder. Now Itinit couldn''t stand it, so he fell to his knees and closed his eyes...

After a few moments, the bird cry stopped. Itinit opened his eyes and noticed that he was standing in the crater of a volcano, holding a pot in his hands, from which a stream of purple energy was emitting.

At the end of the beam was the barely visible silhouette of Taikuron. The creature''s energy gradually flowed into the vessel and accumulated there. Itinit no longer heard the voices in his head.

"Did I really do it?" Itinit couldn''t believe what was happening. "I almost caught Taikuron?"

The pot began to vibrate. Itinit realized that there was too much energy there to fit in it. Fortunately, Taikuron''s silhouette merged with the energy flow, and the beam returned to the pot.

"I finally caught Taikuron," Itinit still couldn''t believe what had happened. "And I did it myself."

The flow of energy was so powerful that it pushed Itinit back to the entrance to the residence. The pot in his hands disappeared.

"Come out, it''s your turn now," Itinit looked up.

Myuryuri appeared above the fortress courtyard.

"So we meet," Itinit said. "Do you miss her too?"

"How do you know?" the creature in the "bubble" asked.

“I sent you Taikuron and the dolls so that you could study them and understand how to use them. You did. But then you decided that we couldn''t handle these creatures and would call your creator.”

    “Was that your plan?”

“What? Do you want to battle me?”

    “Yes. Let''s do it.”

“But you won’t be able to break through my barrier.”

“That means I’ll die.” If she lets me die, then it''s her will.”

    Myuryuri disappeared.

“You don’t want to battle me?” Itinit looked around. “Why? I won''t even be able to break through your barrier.”

A clot of purple energy appeared in the sky. But it wasn''t Myuryuri. It was a purple energy "eye" surrounded by a round "bubble."

“I’m not interested in fighting you,” a voice sounded in the air. “You are not like my creator. She is the only one who can break through my barrier. I do not want to battle with everything else.”

“You greatly underestimate the enemy,” Itinit smiled.

“I think my Eye of Hope is enough for you. If I go against you, the battle will end immediately after it begins.”

Energy began to accumulate inside the "eye". Itinit extended his hand forward and surrounded the "enemy" with a blue square barrier-trap.

"We will finally meet," Itinit smiled.

... A thunderstorm attacked a small village. Lightning flashed on the horizon. Rain hit the windowsills, and evil spirits walked behind the dark windows.

That''s how it seemed to a little boy who hid under a blanket and carefully peered out from behind it. From there, all that was visible was a room with log walls. The boy tried not to look at the scary window.

"If I fall asleep, I''ll dream again of an electric penguin without legs with antennas on its head," the boy thought. "And if I don''t sleep, lightning will strike, and a spirit will appear from it and take me away."

The boy could only cover himself with a blanket and hope that the night, and with it the storm, would end. Then there would be no darkness outside the window, and spirits would not appear from the lightning.

But sleep overcame the boy. Soon he closed his eyes and found himself on the shore of a lake surrounded by mountains. Coniferous forests grew on their slopes, and bright glowing green and blue mushrooms were visible under the trees. Because of this, the forest glowed with many lights.

“I’ve never been to this place before,” the boy thought. “I hope these mushrooms don’t turn into that penguin.”

The boy stopped near the nearest blue mushroom and began to examine it. Not only did it glow brightly, but it was also translucent. The boy had never seen such mushrooms before. He became curious about what would happen if he touched it.

The boy''s hand touched the mushroom cap, which was vibrating weakly, and then passed through it and ended up inside the stem.

“Aren''t you afraid?” a voice sounded nearby.

The boy turned towards the source of the voice and saw a mushroom with a purple cap in front of him, from which two black horns stuck out.

"There''s no one here," the boy thought. "I must have imagined it."

The cap of the horned mushroom lifted, and the boy saw a black hole on the white stem that looked like a mouth.

"What are you doing here?" a voice came from the "mouth."

"I don''t know," the boy answered. "I just didn''t want to sleep, so that the electric penguin wouldn''t come to me."

"You''re already asleep if you''re here."

The boy looked around. There was only a coniferous forest with glowing mushrooms and a lake surrounded by mountains. There were no creatures there.

“It won’t come to you today,” a voice came from the “mouth” of the horned mushroom.

    “Why?”

The mushroom cap began to move, and then rose above the stem. A girl''s head with blue hair and purple eyes appeared from the stem. The mushroom cap turned out to be her headdress.

“My name is Sanachan, I am the spirit of mushrooms,” the girl introduced herself. “I protect your sleep from the electric penguin with the help of these antennas.”

Sanachan touched her horns with her hands, and they began to partially glow with blue-green energy.

“These horns are antennas,” the spirit of mushrooms said. “With their help, I transmit signals to the brains of creatures when they sleep and I receive information. Because of this, instead of a bad dream, you have this dream.”

“You also have antennas, like that penguin,” the boy noted. - But you''re not evil.

“I just stay up so you can sleep.”

    “You can''t sleep?”

“Eeeh... It''s too early for you to know.”

“I... I’ll grow up and make sure you can sleep.”

    Sanachan smiled.

“You are too small to talk about this,” the mushroom spirit said. “When you grow up, we will meet and talk about how to bring back my dreams. In the meantime, go home. Children need to sleep. You are already sleeping, but you will sleep better without dreams.”

“I’ll find you, spirit of mushrooms,” the boy promised.

… Itinit clenched his fist. The barrier-trap slammed shut. The energy “eye” disappeared, after which it appeared above the guy’s head in order to burst.

Itinit was saved by a blue translucent barrier that automatically appeared around him, and after the attack, it also automatically disappeared.

“I have already grown up, the spirit of mushrooms,” Itinit looked at the door of the residence behind him. "But I remember my promise. I will return your sleep."

Above the courtyard, Myuryuri appeared again, and behind it, a large blue energy circle with round cells in which energy "eyes" of different colors were placed: blue, purple, pink, blue-green, yellow.

“Your eye couldn''t cope, and you called the others?” Itinit smiled. “It looks like you overestimate me. One will be enough for me.”

In response, the blue "eye" began to accumulate energy, but this time it happened too quickly, in a couple of moments. A blue beam flew out of the pupil.

Itinit managed to create an empty energy ball and then jumped to the side. The beam hit the decoy and destroyed it, and then began moving towards the real enemy.
