She smiled and walked over to Dong Xuebing quickly. “Mayor Dong, have you finished work?” She was more polite when they were in publicpared to earlier. Many County leaders and staff were looking at them, and she got to behave. This was the result of working in the Government service for three years.


    Dong Xuebing smiled. “I am waiting for you.”


    Yao Cui pretended. “Do you have any orders for me?”


    Dong Xuebing replied. “We have not met for so long. Let’s have dinner together. Let’s go.”


    Yao Cuiughed and pointed to a bicycle. “But I only got one bicycle.”


    Dong Xuebing replied. “Bicycle is fine. We can ride slowly and chat on the way.”


    Yao Cuiughed. “Alright. I will get the bicycle. Wait for me.”


    Dong Xuebing could wait for Yao Cui outside the Party Committee Building or meet her at her house. But he waited for her at the office building to show everyone she was his former ssmate and make sure no one dared to pick on her.


    Along the streets.


    Dong Xuebing and Yao Cui walked slowly.


    There spoke casually because there were no outsiders around.


    “Xuebing.” Yao Cui pushed her bicycle. “We are far from my house. It will take at least 40 minutes to walk there.”


    “How about I ferry you on the bicycle?”


    “Save it. When was thest time you rode a bicycle?”


    “Huh? I forgot. I had not ridden a bicycle since I started working.”


    “Just hope on if you don’t mind. I will ride.”


    “Why should I mind? Do you have the strength to ride with me sitting behind?”

    The door opened, and Yao Cui’s parents came out.

    “I am here to trouble you again, Aunty and Uncle.” Dong Xuebing said.


    Yao Cui’s parents looked behind and saw no one else. They asked. “Cui Er, where is your leader? Why is he not here?”

    Yao Cui replied. “Mum, Dad, Brother. Let me introduce Xuebing to you all.”
