Eagle got up early and knocked on the door of Mona’s house which was in the School of Paradeisos main building where the classes and hall was placed.
“Good morning, Eagle”. Mona opened the door and greeting Eagle with a hug. “Nathan is just getting dress. It is only four o’ clock in the morning and you are thirty minutes early”.
“The young man needs to learn discipline. This was something I had promised to you husband”. Eagle smiled while waiting for Nathan.
Nathan finally came out of his room. He was now slightly taller than his late father although he was not as strong. “Let’s get going”.
During sparing, Eagle knocked out Nathan’s neon blue diamond sword with his own green diamond sword. “Pick up your sword and let’s keep going”.
“I will never be as strong as my dad. He was the strongest of all the eagle riders and I can’t even beat you”. Nathan complained. “You are a great eagle rider and fighter by the way and I did not mean any offensive”.
“It is alright, Nathan. You are still trying your footing young man”.
“I have always been the less aggressive of my twin brother Johnson and most of my friends has left with Jake and Noonso two years ago”. Getting things off his chest while speaking to Eagle, Nathan tried to hold back his tears.
“Still you are the faithful one. My daughter Birdy will be back. She contacted her mother before Ann killed Mads”. Eagle picked up the blue diamond sword which was still on the ground and handed it to Nathan.
“Thanks Eagle. I am sorry to hear about what happened to Mads. She is a close friend of yours and Tomi’s and you both have gone through a lot together”. Nathan placed his sword back into his sheath.
“I know you desire to call your eagle but you should learn to master your sword fight as well. Never know when you might need it”. Eagle gave a speech to Nathan.
As time when by, more and more eagle riders came to the backyard to train.
Deciding to give his disciple a chance to teach others, he said, “Since you are my best student and desire to be like your father one day, I will give you a chance to train and teach the other eagle riders today. I have family business to take care of but if you need my help, I am one call away”.
“Thank you, Eagle. I will do my best to train them”. Nathan took command of the other eagle riders as Eagle ran upstairs to check out his family, knowing that both his daughter and step daughter as well as his wife will soon be awake. Tomi would also need his help.
“Good morning, Eagle dear, welcome back”. Tomi greeted with a hug. “Both our daughter and step daughter are still soundly asleep. How is training with Nathan going?”
“It is actually fun and it’s encouraging to know that Nathan is not only as strong as his late father but possesses the right attitude during training. That is the passion and enthusiasm of youth”. Eagle sat down after making himself a cup of coffee. “Every training reminds me that I am getting old”.
Stolen story; please report.
“We are getting old indeed”, Tomi laughed. “Nobody stays young forever. Both Bondi and Marrisa will soon grow up into young women and eventually will get married if they choose to that is”. She then sat on Eagle’s lap while placing her left arm around his shoulder and her left hand on his left shoulder before kissing.
“Good morning.....Ewwww! Get a room!” Bondi who had just woke up without her parents knowing spoke up.
“Bondi! Good morning, sweetie. It is good to see you finally up”. Tomi got off Eagle’s lap and ran to embrace Bondi before bringing her to her husband for a hug.
“Glad you can join us, Bondi. Good morning”. Eagle greeted his daughter with a hug before finishing off his coffee. “It seems Marrisa is still asleep. We will give her more time. It will be time for class soon and Mona will be teaching you something new”.
“What exactly would that be?” Bondi are her breakfast cereals.
“I am not sure myself but she was once my teacher and she is never boring. That I can assure you”.
“Dad you are right. I have been in Mona’s class for a while and her teachings are never boring. She always has something new as I pointed out. I can’t wait”. Bondi saw Marrisa who had just woken up and rushed over to give her step sister a hug. The green eyed girl leading the younger but slightly shorter brown eyed girl to the table.
“Did you know that Bondi looks exactly like a kid version of you and Marrisa looks like a female version of her father?” Eagle got out of his chair and walked up to Tomi who was drinking a cup of water.
“Bondi’s eyes are green like yours instead of being hazel like mine which means she takes after you as well. Marrisa might take after her father physically but she will always remind me about Mads regardless”. Tomi couldn’t help weeping with joy while looking at the two girls slowly drink their milk and eat their breakfast cereals.
“I am glad the King of Paradeisos has blessed us with daughters regardless of our past”. Eagle walked over to his daughter and step daughter stroking their hair. “Alright girls take your time and enjoy your breakfast just do not take too long”. He kissed them goodbye before hugging his wife and heading to the backyard to see how Nathan was doing.
To his delight, Nathan was actually training the other eagle riders who were listening to him.
“He really takes after his father more than he thinks he does. He will soon be the leader in the School of Paradeisos after me”. Eagle spoke to Tomi who was leaning on his shoulder while watching Nathan train these under him.
