Chapter 124: Second World: cklisting A Nagging Alpha


    It''smon knowledge that everythinges at a price and this particr morning, Wen Qinxi was bearing the heavy price of being intoxicated. This heavy throbbing headache made him vow to never drink again but who was he kidding. Once he forgot the pain he dove right into it again subjecting himself to such horrible pain.


    "Jo-lie, Jolie," he mumbled with his eyes flickering while rolling in bed but the system didn''t respond. Just when things were getting spicyst night it begged Xia Bai to restore its ability to go offline at will otherwise it would have been force-fed dog food scorching its pure eyes.


    Receiving no response, Wen Qinxi peeked his head out of the quilt in a daze. It took him a minute to remember where he was but couldn''t remember how he got here? While racking his brain struggling to piece together what happenedst night, hismunicator beeped several times scattering all the memory fragments he had painstakingly gathered. Frustrated, he epted the video call request grumbling, "What? Can''t you give this ancestor a break l feel like l am dying?"


    Xiao Hua actually looked way better than the ashen-faced Wen Qinxi with his coiffed hair and wless skin radiating through the image, this made Wen Qinxi green with envy. "Are you alone?" he asked with the image moving as though he was taking a stroll.


    Wen Qinxi looked puzzled saying, "Yes, why wouldn''t I be alone? I live alone remember?"


    Xiao Hua shook his head in disappointment feeling like his good n was wasted on Zhao Xieshu. "I gave you a lending hand and you couldn''t even seal the deal? Do you actually want to lose to Zhao Huangzhi?" he said recalling how he had made a video call to the Marshal with Zhao Xieshu''smunicator and got Qie Ranzhe to ditch Zhao Huangzhi but this friend of his didn''t lure the prey into the trap. How disappointing.


    "What n? Hua Hua, you know I was so wastedst night I don''t even remember how I got here," he said partially covering his face with the quilt. Xiao Hua''s eyes shone a little brighter, not remembering was way better. At least it meant Zhao Xieshu might have made progress but just couldn''t recall.


    "The Marshal came to pick you up and I made sure he drank tons of vinegarst night. Hurry up and get ready, I will help you remember once you get to the base," said an excited Xiao Hua. He couldn''t wait to probe Zhao Xieshu''s brain and find out what happenedst night.


    Wen Qinxi rubbed his itchy earlobe while trying so hard to recallst night''s events but nothing of use came to mind. "Forget it. The captain is reporting back today so we might not have time. I want to know what Emperor Zhao has been up to so l know how to deal with himter. Just let me know as soon as she approaches base," he said sitting up on the bed while massaging between his brows while cutting the call.


    After gathering some strength, he grabbed the medical kit and took out some pill to alleviate some of the pain before strolling into the bathroom. While taking his pants off, he finally noticed the pinkish-red leg different from the other. A result of waxingst night.


    "Shit! This must be the dumbest thing I have ever done. Fuck!," while rubbing the sore red patches.


    "No, it wasn''t," said the system appearing out of thin air Iike a vindictive ghost.


    Wen Qinxi jumped in fright, he didn''t expect the system to just show up while he was butt naked. Granted, it probably saw everything in the first world but it was invisible then, now it had the appearance of a little girl which was too creepy. He didn''t even bother asking what it meant by ''no, it wasn''t'' scolding it to get out.

    Wen Qinxi grabbed a towel wrapping himself up at the armpits like howdies do before yelling at the system, "You....Scram!" feeling vited.


    "Promise to make me invisible again and I will leave," said the system bargaining with him, "otherwise I will keep showing up each time you get naked."


    "Such a cunning fox! Fine, fine you win, you little pervert. I will turn you back now leave," he said wishing he could face-p the system.


    Jolie snickered while mockingly tugging the towel wrapped around Wen Qinxi. "Pfft.....hahaha you wrapped yourself up like a girl! Do you have boobs or something?"


    Wen Qinxi''s face sank angrily flinging a slipper at the system yelling, "Piss off!" effectively chasing the system away before he proceeded to take a shower. When he left the shower his body felt invigorated and born anew but was yet again disturbed by another iing video request. A shirtless Wen Qinxi epted the call after pulling up his pants. He had his back against themunicator searching through his closet for a t-shirt.


    The poor Marshal was suddenly faced by a shirtless omega with his smooth glossy back to him. From that angle, he could clearly see some leftover water droplets caressing Zhao Xieshu''s back streaming down to his lower back dimples before disappearing into his jeans. Heart beating through his ears, Qie Ranzhe licked his lower lip leaning in for a close-up. He yearned to kiss those water droplets dry while nibbling on Zhao Xieshu''s toned muscles leaving behind love bites to dere sovereignty. Feeling parched he caressed every inch of Zhao Xieshu with his dark eyes that resembled a beast stalking its prey.


    His gaze swept upwards halting at the pheromone nd at the nape of the prince''s neck. Maybe it was an illusion but it seemed to be calling for him to sink his teeth in there and take possession of this breathtaking omega.


    Machu suddenly walked into the office perplexed by the strong alpha scent wafting out of the Marshal''s office.     "Get fuck out!" bellowed Qie Ranzhe while minimizing the image. Machu immediatelyplied rushing out as his life depended on it. The Marshal was not in his right mind. It''s a good thing Machu knew to quit while ahead.


    The yelling finally attracted Wen Qinxi''s attention, he was busy looking through his closet waiting for the caller to speak but the person hadn''t said anything for a couple of seconds. He was about to hang up thinking it was a butt dial or something when he heard Qie Ranzhe roaring like a lion defending its dinner.


    "What the fuck are you yelling at me for? Psst.....you are the one who called me yet you are yelling at me?" he said while putting on his t-shirt.


    Qie Ranzhe was gluttonously staring at that exquisite corbone subconsciously biting his lower lip craving a taste but his view was suddenly blocked by the stupid fabric.


    "Ahem...I wasn''t yelling at you. I was just....um.....why are you epting video calls naked? Wait do you do this with everyone?" said a mortified Qie Ranzhe who had obviously eaten tofu to his fill but didn''t want others to eat too.


    "Argh! Again with the shirtless thing. Do l have some type of boobs that only you can see?"ined Wen Qinxi pointing at his chest while eyeing him as though his bullshit meter was ticking in the red zone.


    "Frivolous!" replied Qie Ranzhe feeling like he had just been made to wear a green hat. Omegas always covered up barely showing any skin but the one he liked actually dared to show off his goods for all to see?


    "Did you just scold me?" asked Wen Qinxi with an excuse-me facial expression, "How fuckin brave of you. Call me again when you are sensible," he said before ruthlessly cutting the call leaving behind a stupefied Marshal. He couldn''t understand why Zhao Xieshu would be this angry with him. In afrenzy, he called back three times but on the third try, he was cklisted for four hours.

    With the call dropped Wen Qinxi pulled at his hair in frustrated. He had a throbbing headache and now he was being scolded non-stop. Headache, hunger plus Wen Qinxi''s temper equals cklisting the Marshal for four hours.


    Two hourster a ring on the doorbell disrupted his work mode. He was preupied with the interster maps trying to calcte where the rest of the pilgrimage spaceship could be if part of it was found on that deste peach. Wen Qinxi casually checked the camera feed but he was startled to see Mama Qie patiently standing by his door.


    What was this? Qie Ranzhe''s back up? Was he using his mother to get to him? These were the questions running through his mind as he exited the secret room heading for the door.
