Chapter 149: Chronicles of Lockdown VI


    “Too light!?”


    “Even the strongest man in the world can’t hold up a treadmill for an hour, not to mention three!” Mylo almost shouted, but his voice was still louder than normal.


    “You’re a man, Mylo, we don’t make excuses, we break records,” Jason said in a motivational tone with a serious look on his face.

    “Why do I even need to hold a selfie stick for hours when I’ve got a phone stand?” Mylo suddenly remembered the phone stand that was on the floor.


    “I don’t know, maybe the same reason you weren’t using it earlier somewhere else that is not here,” Jason retorted with a slight tick in his tone.


    “But…” Mylo tried to argue but Jason immediately shut him down with his next words,


    “You either hold up the dumbbell for three hours, or you hold up the treadmill for the same amount of time,” Jason immediately cut him off with a hard smile. “… Are there any other options?” Mylo asked, sweating profusely as it seemed that he was in deepsh*t,and no thanks to those viewers who had led him into a trap.


    “… Hmmm, there is one other option…” Jason said after a few seconds of thought.


    “What is the other option?” Mylo asked the dreaded question as he could already tell by the smile that appeared on Jason’s face, that it wasn’t any better than the other options he already had.


    “You could practice Muay Thai with me… but, it’s been a while since I’ve practiced, so it would be a bit hard to hold back,” Jason said, not doing much to cover his intentions.


    If Mylo dared to pick thest option he would not leave without having two ck eyes and a few other spots that marked his pain.


    “Muay Thai… Please hand me the dumbbell, sir,” Mylo immediately epted his fate and chose the least painful out of the punishments.


    He didn’t dare to think that he could face off against Jason in any form of physical battle as despite their simr sizes, Mylo believed that Jason could easily wipe him across the floor at any moment should he wish to.


    He had already experienced pain from a half-asleep Jason and he didn’t want to know what a fully alert and non-holding-back Jason could do.


    He didn’t even need to guess that he would be in for a world of pain if he dared to choose that option so the only feasible option was his immediate choice.


    Of course, this option would probably render his arms useless for a little while and he wouldn’t be able to calm down ‘little Mylo’ for a while, but what option did he have?


    He couldn’t run away so he could only face the punishment for his actions… it was his fault for listening to the viewers and poking the tiger disguised as a human named Jason.


    Swearing internally to learn from this mistake, Mylo collected the dumbbell from Jason.


    “Hold it like you would a selfie stick,” Jason said with a slightly satisfied smile.

    Jason who was reading thements from the viewers suddenly felt that these guys weren’t so bad.


    They gave him a perfectly good reason to punish Mylo and let out some of his grievances and now they were even egging him on.


    Since he was in a good mood, he decided to do a bit more before he went back to his training,


    “Since Mylo is currently training, I’ll take over for a while,” Jason spoke as he turned the camera back to the front and his face showed on the screen.


    “What do you guys usually do on the live stream?” Jason had to ask as while he had experience with stuff like live streams, he was by no means a live streamer and wasn’t exactly a people person either.


    He could usually interact with fans which was why he wasn’t balking yet, but that was just about where his expertise with people peaked.


    He was a footballer, not a show host, so it was normal.

    “Anything, huh?” Jason murmured, thinking a bit beforeing to a decision.


    “Alright then, let’s do a question game,”


    “Somebody asks a question and then Mylo and I answer, you guys can answer some of them as well,” Jason concluded, throwing the ball back into the court of the viewers because if there was anything he knew, it was that crowd work never got boring.


    Of course, he wasn’t someedian who was trained in crowd work, but he had enough confidence to keep a conversation going… he wasn’t sure how interesting it would be for the viewers though.


    “Let’s start, what’s you guy’s first question?” Jason immediately asked, taking the reins of the show.


    A few secondster, questions flooded the screen, along with a few otherments that had nothing to do with the questioning part of the stream.


    Quickly scanning through the questions, Jason picked the first question he saw that looked fun.


    {If you could have three of any superpowers, what would you have?} Davina_Jonesmented.


    Jason read the question out loud with a thoughtful look,


    “Frankly, I don’treallyknow… let’s have Mylo answer first,” Jason threw the question to Mylo as he wanted to take his time thinking about an answer.


    “I know what I would get,” Mylo who wasn’t tired yet from holding up the dumbbell, immediately answered.


    “I want invisibility,” Mylo stated first.


    “Hmm, invisibility is a good option, but what does he wanna use it for?” Jasonmented, not saying it loud enough to interrupt Mylo, but the viewers could hear his voice anyway.


    “Uhm, X-ray vision… and yes, mind control,” Mylo answered with a smirk on his face.


    “This dirty…” Jason couldn’t even finish the sentence and simply stared at Mylo in disgust.


    “Hedefinitelyain’t saving people with those abilities…” Jason finally said.


    To be fair, invisibility, x-ray vision, or mind control weren’t bad abilities to have.


    Of course, mind control was a bit on the viinous side and wasn’t usually used by people portrayed as heroes, but it was still something that could be worked with.


    The problem arose when these three abilities were brought together as it was obvious that whoever wanted these three abilities together wasdefinitelynot up to something good.


    These three abilities were especially reminiscent of the more ‘cultural’ side of anime and Jason immediately knew that Mylo was up to no good by selecting those abilities.


    Mylo’s character was also not helping matters.

    Jason read all thements and just said,


    “I’m not even gonna say nothing, but what the hellcuh?” Jasonughed disappointedly.


    He wasughing at himself for expecting Mylo to pull off something that was not stupid.


    Fair enough to say, his expectations were disappointed and he decided to move on,


    “For me, I’ll just take time travel,” Jason decided on what kind of power he wished he had.


    Sure enough,ments asking why he had chosenonly time travel.


    “Well, I feel that having the power to change a lot of one’s regrets and mistakes is an invaluable ability to have. I’ve changed a lot of things, but there are still a few things in my life that I wish to change or make as if it never actually happened,” Jason answered thements with a cryptic smile.


    If one was listening carefully, they would notice that a part of Jason’s sentence sounded strange and as if he hadactuallyexperienced time travel but hadn’t been able to change everything, but the moment anyone thought this, they would easily ignore the thought and think that he meant something else.


    In reality, Jason didn’t mean anything else and he wasactuallytalking about his experiences, but no one but him and whoever or whatever was responsible for his regression/ time discement would know what he was talking about.


    Jason still asionally got a bit angry and peeved that despite getting another chance in life, he had not been able to change his biggest regret.


    All that talk about how not bing a legend only came second to the regret from losing his family and it was something Jason wished he could change, but despite getting another chance at life, he had not gotten the chance to change that part of his life hence his heartfelt decision.


    His choice and reason hade from deep down in his heart, but he quickly put it aside and moved on with the live stream.


    This was not the time to be thinking about such things.


    “Okay, next question guys,” Jason asked the viewers with a smile that covered up his internal feelings at the moment.


    Soon a barrage of questions filled up the screen asments from the viewers and Jason quickly started looking for an interesting question that he could answer.


    “Oh, this one looks interesting,” Jason noticed a question that looked interesting and to him only had one answer, but he wanted to hear Mylo’s answer.
