Chapter 422 Display of power

With a simple flick of her wrist, the space around her became thick andpressed, expanding andpressing in rapid pulses.

The effect of this wasn''t to crush the Red Demons like she had just done with the already crumbling buildings. No, it was to slow the Red Demons movements and make every split decision they had to make sloppier due to the constantly changing space.

And while they were busy trying to navigate the heavy atmosphere Mira had created, Mira herself unsheathed her de, and got straight to work.

She didn''t have a technique as shy as Alex did with his Phoenix Fire obliterating everything and everyone within dozens of kilometres.

But she did have raw, physical power.

And she used this power to sh as fast, and as hard as she could towards the horde of Red Demons.

    Her intentions were obvious.

With that one sh, the air itself began to split apart, and any particles, whether it be dust, debris from the buildings, or any random element, was sent flying at incredibly fast speeds towards the Red Demons.

She had effectively created her own version of Alex''s Phoenix Fire arc just by utilising the worldlyws around her and her ability to affect them with her power.

Alex watched with admiration as Mira effortlessly dispatched the Red Demons.

Her mastery of her spatial maniption was on full disy, and it was clearly much, much more powerful than his own.

But as thest of the smaller demons fell, ALex''s gaze shifted towards the centre of the outpost.

There, standing tall amidst the wreckage, was arger, more imposing figure.

    ''Anothermander…''

Unlike the others, this one didn''t charge recklessly.

It stood tall, dark crimson eyes locking onto Mira with a rage that matched her own.

His aura spread out, and it was thick with malice.

Mira stood a little confused, wondering why her attack hadn''t killed this guy off as well, since it was clearly strong enough to do so.

But she understood exactly why he had survived after just a few moments.

The air around the taller Red Demonmander began to stir, with a faint breeze starting to develop around him and quickly escting into violent gusts of wind.

The pressure in the atmosphere changed rapidly, matching Mira''s own spatial pressure head on as an equal.

    ''So that''s why…''

Mira watched with curious eyes, clearly understanding that he must have used this talent to deflect any of Mira''s attack that might have affected him.

Dust and debris from the fallen and still crumbling buildings were lifted into the air, caught in a vortex forming around the demon.

His dark crimson eyes never left Mira, who stood a few paces away, despite the fact that Alex was still standing behind, yet to intervene in the fight.

It seemed he knew Alex wasn''t going to rain on their parade, so he had taken his focus off of him from the moment the fight started.

    "So, wind, huh?"

Mira muttered to herself, recognising the elemental maniption at y.

It wasn''t hard to tell what it was the Red Demon was doing.

The Red Demonmander let out a guttural growl, raising both arms as the wind gathered around him, swirling faster and faster until it formed a colossal, spinning barrier of air.

The force of the wind was intense, and even Alex, standing some distance away, could feel its pull.

    "Interesting…"

Alexmented, watching the disy with mild curiosity.

"Looks like this one''s got some tricks up his sleeve."

    Mira narrowed her eyes.

The winds were growing stronger by the second, and she could feel that they might even be able to threaten her soon enough.

Unexpectedly, they were actually taking on quite a strong foe this time!

Finally, the Red Demonmander let out a deafening roar, and the windstorm around him exploded outward, sending sharp, cutting gusts in Mira''s direction.

The winds carried with them debris, sharp enough to slice through many, manyyers of the earth, and the force of it was strong enough to tear through everything in its path.

But Mira wasn''t afraid, nor was she worried one bit.

    "Alright then…"

Mira spoke aloud, apetitive smirk tugging at the corner of her lips.

"If he wants to y, then let''s y."

Without wasting another second, Mira dashed forward, moving with blinding speed.

She didn''t even bother trying to dodge and weave her way through the sharp gusts of wind and debris, and directly tanked them head on.

She wouldn''t have taken such a big risk before, but now, she had something protecting her.

A crimson sheen could be seen covering her whole body from head to toe,ing into existence as Mira took out her Evernight Sovereign armour and equipped it mid fight.

One neat trick that Alex and Mira had found was that they could equip it instantly when taking it out of their spatial storages without the need to physically put it on and off like they did with normal clothes.

This conveniently timed armour surprised the Red Demon, but he saw it as no big deal.

He had tested his attack on the hull of many space ships, and it had prated through ones tough enough to tank B- rank attacks!

He wasn''t worried one bit that Mira''s armour might be able to stop th—

    "Wha—"

    It stopped them.

The Red Demonmander looked genuinely panicked for the first time, unable toprehend why his attacks weren''t going through.

But he realised that Mira''s armour had actually managed to block each and every gust, debris and anything else caught up in the violent wind storm.

''Just what the fuck is she wearing…''

This was hisst thought as Mira''s de conveniently prated through his forehead, ending his life in an instant.n/?/vel/b//jn dot c//om

The battlefield finally fell silent after a few moments passed, as there was no more energy source to keep the violent winds going, and they died out very quickly.

    p! p! p!

But Alex broke the silence almost immediately with his obnoxiously loud ps.

"So, when were you going to tell me about that spatial attack?"
