    After taking the initiative to be the first among them to fight against an orc leader, Hal went ahead and applied his usual string of stat-boosting skills on himself before delving deep into the battlefield once more.

    Unsurprisingly, the man moved at a speed and manner that was iparable to before, making it seem as if he were an artistic swimmer following the current of water.


    Nevertheless, that kind of image immediately disappeared as the orcs along his path sensed the amount of power he held, knowing how much trouble he''d bring if he were to attack the more important orcs.


    With that, a considerable portion of the orcs along his path decided to abandon their current fights as they focused all of their thoughts on obstructing the man before them.


    Yet, before those orcs could even think ofnding a hit on him…

    Without hesitation, Hal unsheathed the de that had apanied him throughout the inheritance and the battlefield.

    Then, putting all of his strength behind it, he began to slice through the orcs obstructing him, all of his attacks aiming for their vital parts.


    "Graaagh!!!"


    "Ghwek…!"


    To no surprise, many of the orcs that tried to obstruct him fell to the ground from just a single attack of his.


    However, rather than feel immense fear from the attack that ended theirrades'' lives, the orcs that lived through his first attack decided to double down and strike once more, their brush with death giving them greater realization that the man before them was no simple human.


    Swoosh!


    Unfortunately, just like the orcs that came before them, Hal took care of them as if he were cutting through butter, carving out a path that eventually put him in front of an orc leader that met the mission''s criteria.


    "Damn." Watching Hal carve out a path on the battlefield from afar, it took a while for Valyr to find the right words to say. "I guess him being called the War Saint definitely isn''t unfounded." n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om


    "Wait till you see him fight against the orc leader," said Vera in response, causing the young man to be curious as he focused his gaze on Hal once more.


    "Grhgy''z! Grmssh grgeeegh!!!" Seeing how a great portion of the orcs making up his squad had fallen victim to the de of the man in front of him, it went without saying that the orc leader was incredibly furious when Hal appeared before him.


    Unfortunately for the orc leader, the man did not care what it felt, considering the number of human lives that had fallen victim to its strength.


    Being reminded of the sacrifices the human race had done to get to its current point, Hal tightly gripped onto the hilt of his de as he watched the orc leader charge at him.

    Channeling all of his strength into one attack, Hal went ahead and infused his de with the energy of his Intent, causing the de''s edge to turn a faint murky gray.


    Then, watching the orc leader swing down its massive war hammer at his head, Hal let out a slight exhale before swerving to the orc leader''s side.

    "[Asura Tearing the Skies]!"

    Not wanting to miss the opening he''d given himself, Hal went ahead and struck at the side of the orc leader''s torso, immediately feeling his de go through a set of sturdy bones.


    Though, after putting a bit more pressure onto the hilt, the de eventually cut through its target in its entirety, bisecting the orc leader''s body before it even realized what was going on.


    Thud. Thud.


    As the two halves of the orc leader''s body fell to the ground, the surroundings around Hal temporarily fell into a lull as both orcs and humans looked at the man with incredulity.


    Briefly ncing at the people that were fighting against the orcs with him, Hal faintly nodded at them before cutting off a part from the orc leader, only to return to where both Valyr and Vera were soon after.

    Watching the humans fight with even greater ferocity after Hal''s domineering method of fighting, a faint smile appeared on Valyr''s face as he looked at the man that returned.


    Considering the number of orcs he''d killed along the way, it went without saying that a great portion of Hal''s body was covered in blood.


    Then again, none of it came from his own body.


    "I suppose I''ll be going next, then?" With Hal tossing the part he''d cut off to Valyr, Vera looked at Valyr for a bit before asking him which among them would go first.


    "Go for it." Pocketing the part into his pocket, Valyr shed a bright smile at Vera, curious to see how much the young woman from before had grown after the inheritance.

    With Valyr giving her the go signal she needed, Vera went ahead and empowered herself with a number of stat-boosting skills that took the greater part of a minute to activate.


    Then, just as the young man thought she was done empowering herself, she went ahead and activated spells that did the same thing, only to follow it up with Mystic Energy that took on a simr effect after that.


    In the end, it took a few minutes for Vera to fully prepare herself, immediately moving through the battlefield at a high speed the moment she was ready.

    With a great number of skills and spells bolstering her stats, it went without saying that she moved through the various fights at a level of speed and finesse that surpassed Hal.


    With the aid of her greater speed, it did not take long for her to find an orc leader that met the mission criteria.


    However, unlike the overbearing approach Hal took while fighting the orc leader he targeted earlier, Vera took on an approach that could be said to be more… insidious.

    Releasing arge amount of Mystic Energy into the surroundings, Vera used it to create a field around her that would allow her to fight the orc leader unobstructed.


    Utilizing the flexibility of Mystic Energy to its fullest, she went ahead and bound all of the orcs within the vicinity, as well as reduced theirbat strength with the help of the energy itself.


    Naturally, this included the orc leader, who began to look at Vera with rage the moment it realized she was the one behind the abrupt change in their current situation.


    Though, before it could even voice out its grievances at the young woman in front of it…

    Vera began to pelt the orc leader''s face with a barrage of magic bolts.
