    The person on the other side of the phone hung up immediately, and Coco received a message with an address.


    Holding his phone tight, Coco pursed his lips, unsure how to break the news to Jian Qi.


    He had always protected Jian Qi precisely because the industry was extremelyplicated and the waters were deep, and so he always wanted to prevent her from getting hurt.


    He had always done an excellent job, but he never expected this day toe regardless.


    “What is it?” Jian Qi looked at him with a mischievous smile. “Look at you. Did they bully you? Do you want me to deal with them for you?”


    Jian Qi rolled up her sleeves to reveal her thin arms.


    She sounded like she was joking, but there was a hint of truth to her words!


    Coco breathed deeply. “Thepany wants you to apologize for what happened yesterday.


    Jian Qi quirked an eyebrow. “Shouldn’t thepany getwyers on the case to stop all these keyboard warriors from writing nder about me? Why do they want me to apologize?”


    Coco’s brows knit together. “It’s because the video where you looked like you were bullying Ren Ranran got leaked onto the inte, and because we don’t have any videos or evidence that say otherwise, you would have to retire from the industry just like you wanted! I think the person supporting Ren Ranran is behind this too!”


    Seeing Coco knit his brows, Jian Qi scoffed. “Even though I want to retire, I want it to be a glorious retirement and not this farce!”


    Coco looked at her smile and somehow felt a hint of malice.


    “Help me contact Ren Ranran,” said Jian Qi as she left for the bathroom, her cold voiceced with a danger that was hard to notice. “Let’s discuss.”


    Coco only stared at her silhouette, feeling her determination.


    Even though he didn’t know what she wanted to do, he trusted her.

    Ren Ranran appeared at the restaurant dressed in a miniskirt, a pair of seven inch high heels, and sunsses. She swayed her hips as she walked over arrogantly towards Jian Qi, who was sitting in a corner.


    Pulling out the chair and taking a seat, Ren Ranran said in a mocking tone. “What do you want? My time is precious, and I have schedules to get toter, unlike a certain someone.”


    Jian Qi leaned back on the chair and looked at her. “Did you leak that gossip on the inte?”


    Ren Ranran’s eyes shed with panic before she regained herposure.


    She never thought that Jian Qi would know it was her!


    “I don’t know what you’re talking about! Don’t try to frame me!” she frowned and eximed.


    But it seemed that Jian Qi wasn’t that interested in that topic.


    She only smiled teasingly and tilted her head. “I don’t care whether it was you, I just need you to do one thing—apologize!”


    “What?”Ren Ranran was shocked.”Do you know what you’re saying?”


    “Everyone knows the truth behind the video you sent about me ‘bullying’ you, so why act innocent? If you apologize now, I can still forgive you, but if you don’t, I won’t be responsible for whates next!”


    She said these words with a smile, but her tone was threatening and cold.


    “Who do you think you are?” Ren Ranran asked arrogantly. “I’m not afraid of you, Jian Qi. You’ll disappear from the industry quickly enough. Let’s see how your little manager can protect you then!”
