In the beginning, there were only the Two: K’Hoth the three-hundred-headed worm, and Agashireeshidan the World Mushroom with its nine spawns buried deep in the great rock that he grew out of. The Two lived in the void and the void lived in them. They were content and slept for millennia until Qukhor the blind midget came. Then strange and wonderful things started to happen.


    Hameda, the red spawn, was consumed by fire, and out of that fire the Ruby World was born. There walked the ruby giants among the fields of coral and the sky was illuminated by millions of cold red dwarfs. The dusty red storms were ravaging across the endless plains and no men lived there.


    Taana, the ginger spawn, was illuminated by the primordial starlight to create the World of Joyful Memories, filled with drifting spirits, tiny flying creatures called zets, and endless gossamer forests bathing in lustrous radiance.


    Luseeda, the yellow spawn, was drowned in teardrops, and thus the World of Liquid Laughter was born. It was a world awash in smells and sounds, with no solid ground to stand on, and no living beings except the laughing motes.


    Yeelka, the turquoise spawn, was torn to tiny pieces by Qukhor’s massive hands. Many aeons had passed before those pieces finally coalesced into the elusive World of Invisible Jellyfish. No one has been there since, and so no one knows what it looks like.


    Sateena, the cyan spawn, came alive and spoke the word of creation to give birth to the Nebulous World. There unnamed creatures of immense size and power lived on moons and fed on the stars.     Masheeka, the blue spawn, was frozen by the icy breath of K’Hoth to create the beautiful twilight World of Sorrowful Cities with its innumerable buildings, spires, domes and staircases, all growing together under the ever-changing stars shrouded in mist.


    Shaltanna, the violet spawn, grew deep in the ancient rocks and was pulled to all sides by strong forces unknown to her. And out of her pain and suffering the World of Rainbow Clouds finally burst into life. It was a world full of wonders and wild magic, where hooded mystics roamed the endless marshes and sailed on wooden boats down bubbling streams.


    Xatoonna, the purple spawn, drank poisonous water from the lake at the foot of Agashireeshidan the World Mushroom, and soon gave birth to the World of Giant Whales. It was a world covered in oceans as far as the eye could see. Whales and squids lived in those oceans in millions. And something else lived there as well, but it cannot be described in words. Giant storms ruled that world and the ever-present Eye of the Beholder watched over everything.


    And at last Khaala, the grey spawn, created the Wooden Maze out of nothing. And there lived Kha that no one had seen.


    And so it came to pass that after the Nine Worlds were created, Qukhor the blind midget took his fiery dagger to destroy the World Mushroom and its spawns, but K’Hoth the worm breathed frost and ice for the second time and broke the dagger in two. And a horrendous explosion then occurred that tore both time and space and a tenth world was created, which is now known as the Blessed Realm. And it was the most beautiful and yet frightening of them all for it was made by no one’s design and no one knew what was its purpose or meaning.


    And thus it all began.
