    Aftering out of the principal’s office, Ye Lengan stretchedzily and headed toward the ssroom.


    However, before reaching the ssroom, she spotted Ye Xiyuan and Yuan Silei walking hand in hand towards her.<div>


    Seeing these familiar figures, Ye Lengan couldn’t help but sigh. Indeed, fate had a way of bringing unexpected encounters! She had just returned to school, and there she was, unexpectedly running into Ye Xiyuan. Shengan High School was really too small, wasn’t it? Why did she always cross paths with people she hoped to avoid?


    Despite the encounter, she had no intention of engaging with these two. So, she decided to y it cool, act like she hadn’t seen them, and simply go on her way.


    However, it seemed their intentions differed from hers. Perhaps it was more urate to say that Yuan Silei had a different mindset.


    Upon seeing her, Yuan Silei approached with excitement. “Lengan, you’re back at school! Where have you been all this time?”


    On the other hand, Ye Xiyuan remained silent, avoiding eye contact with Ye Lengan. It appeared she wanted to walk past without acknowledging her, probably due to the recent strain in their rtionship. However, Yuan Silei’s unexpected move forced her to halt.


    Observing Yuan Silei’s enthusiasm, Ye Lengan couldn’t help but frown. She had no desire to engage with her and nned to continue walking.


    Yet, it was evident that Yuan Silei was oblivious to her rejection. She released Ye Xiyuan’s hand and continued walking alongside Ye Lengan. “Lengan, why are you not saying anything?”


    Ye Lengan frowned and coldly asked, “What’s the matter?”


    In contrast to Ye Leng’an’s coldness, Yuan Silei remained warm. “Leng’an, you haven’t been to school in a long time. Let’s find some time to go shopping together! We haven’t hung out in ages.”


    Sensing Yuan Silei’s enthusiasm, Ye Xiyuan, standing beside her, couldn’t help but furrow her brows. At present, she had no intention of conversing with Ye Lengan and found Yuan Silei’s actions irksome. Nevertheless, she held her tongue and refrained from walking away.


    After various incidents, she had already skipped to the third year of high school, but many had distanced themselves from her. Only Yuan Silei continued to be her friend. So, she was not willing to lose this “friend” now<div>


    “What’s the matter?” Ye Lengan looked at Yuan Silei, her tone almost icy. “If there’s nothing, I have to go to ss.”


    Yuan Silei was undeterred, still wearing a smile. “Lengan, don’t be so distant! We’ve been good friends for so many years. Despite our past conflicts, it’s been a while. It’s time to move on.’


    “It’s indeed in the past.” Ye Lengan raised her head, a hint of coldness in her eyes. “Our friendship is over. Therefore, I don’t think we have a good rtionship anymore. Moreover, we’ve already made it clear that we’ll treat each other as strangers when we meet in the future. Isn’t that better?”


    At times, she genuinely questioned Yuan Silei’s thought process. Despite clearly parting on bad terms each time they met after that, the other party seemed to have amnesia, approaching her every time.


    She felt her stance was resolute. Why couldn’t Yuan Sileiprehend it?


    A touch of sadness shed across Yuan Silei’s face. “Lengan, we grew up together. I can understand your anger before. But now that it’s been so long, why can’t you let it go?”


    Ye Xiyuan couldn’t bear it and tugged at Yuan Silei’s hand, saying, “Leilei, it’s gettingte. sses are about to start. Aren’t you going back to the ssroom?”


    She couldn’t fathom Yuan Silei’s inability to read the situation. Was she seeking trouble, willingly subjecting herself to humiliation?


    “Xiyuan, you can go back first!” Yuan Silei nced at Ye Xiyuan and waved her hand. “I want to talk to Leng’an.”


    Upon hearing Yuan Silei’s words, Ye Xiyuan’s eyes widened in disbelief.

    Thest time they met in Jin City, Ye Xiyuan and Yuan Silei seemed like close sisters. Why did it now seem like their rtionship had subtly changed? Had something happened between them?


    “Leilei, are you asking me to go back first?” Ye Xiyuan asked again in disbelief.


    “That’s right! Xiyuan, aren’t you in a hurry to go back to the ssroom?” Yuan Silei was puzzled. “So you should go back first! I haven’t seen Leng’an for a long time. I want to catch up!”


    A mocking smile appeared on Ye Xiyuan’s lips. “Catch up? Look at Ye Lengan. Does she look like she wants to reminisce with you? Can’t you see she doesn’t even want to talk to you?”


    Yuan Silei seemed to find this unbelievable. “Xiyuan, how could you say something like that? You’re not usually like this.”
