    “This is my guest!” Zhongyu Liuying stood up, smiling as she exined, “We really shouldn’t have invited anyone over today. But, it’s rare for someone from the Hidden World’s Zhongyu family to visit, so I asked her to join us for the asion.”


    As she spoke, she nced around the room and continued, “I believe everyone wouldn’t mind!”


    Though she said this, in reality, she had already decided. She was simply informing them now.


    “Today being Brother’s birthday, as long as he’s okay with it, we have no objections,” Huangfu Jingxian said casually.

    Meanwhile, Ye Leng’an cracked melon seeds, watching the exchange between Huangfu Jingzhang and Zhongyu Liuying with great interest.

Hearing it was your birthday, I thought to join in the festivities. And, of course, with Master Huangfu present, it’s only proper I pay my respects. I just wonder if Mr. Huangfu wees my presence.”


    Though she spoke courteously, it was evident to anyone with a discerning eye that Zhongyu Lingshan’s interesty with Huangfu Ruiling.


    Huangfu Jingzhang’s smile seemed strained. “You are most wee, as any distinguished guest would be.”


    Despite knowing Zhongyu Lingshan’s intentions, he couldn’t shake off the difort. Especially today was his birthday. Couldn’t Zhongyu Lingshan be more discreet?

    Since the child’s registration under Zhong Yating’s name, she had cared for him as her own, even better than his biological mother, Li Yiran.


    Ye Leng’an discreetly observed everyone’s reactions, finding it amusing. Li Yiran awaited her downfall, unaware of her own impending ruin. If this continued, Li Yiran wouldn’t remain by Huangfu Ruixiang’s side for long!

    Zhongyu Lingshan wasn’t afraid of Ye Leng’an’s hostility; she weed it. She knew no man appreciated an overly possessive partner, especially someone like Huangfu Ruiling.
