“You can do it now.”
The man moved to a side once more with tranquility in his eyes. None of the admiration expected to be present when a fan meets his idol could be seen in him. He only gave a slight nod. “I chose a jungler.”
Ji Zhiyao instinctively looked towards the screen. Indeed, an assassin in ck stood still beneath a turret with zero KDAs and a terrible gold level 1 , leading to several of his teammates questioning on the open chat if the jungler had disconnected.
He had wanted to y too and did not refuse. Walking up to the console, he cocked an eyebrow. “Bro, watch me carry 2 with your ount.”
The man kept silent, only moving closer.
The keys of the console were very sensitive andfortable to the touch. Ji Zhiyao took a few minutes to get ustomed. With some appreciation for the controls and also his desire to boast before his fan, the match ended in just 20 minutes.
Final results: he had ravaged the entire match, a deserving MVP.
Only after the quitting the results page, he saw a new page sh out for one to fill in contact details, probably done in preparation for the audition.
Ji Zhiyao called out. “Hey,e and fill in your contact details.”
Some hint of uncertainty grew in the man’s deep eyes. “You were the one that yed this match.”
“Psh, so what if I yed, this is a benefit I give to my fans,” Ji Zhiyao said and waved his hand indifferently. “I still have to thank you for letting me use your ount and giving up the space to y. However, I can only y this one match for you. If you get chosen to form a team against the professional yers, you would have to rely on yourself.”
“You should fill in your own details.”
The man nodded his head, turned, and left.
He had the height and long legs. By the time Ji Zhiyao came back to his sense, the man had already disappeared into the crowd, and he was unaware of which direction he went to.
Ji Zhiyao scratched his head, turning to nce at the console from before.
Why leave this mess to him?
He was not actually that interested in watching the national qualifiers...
Ji Zhiyao looked down then up.
Continuously doing so for a few times, he coughed and filled in his contact details with a peaceful expression.
The moment he clicked ‘submit,’ the corner of his lips involuntarily lifted up and quickly dropped down again.
<i>Cough.</i>
...
Outside the shopping center, the man sat in the passenger seat of a limousine van, removing his mask and cap.
The vehicle began moving, and a blond in the backseat leaned forward grinningly. “Chief, why did you take so long to go to the washroom?”
“Too tempted, ended up ying a match.”
The blonde had a teasing smile. “I was right. Of course Chief wouldn’t do any crude stuff in a shopping center’s washroom. K, this little rascal had to do you wrong.”
“Damn you!” The young man in short sleeves shot up in a frenzy, grabbing the blonde’s cor, showing an expression as if a disaster was about to befall him. “Doggy, don’t you dare start anything!”
The two people became a mess.
In the front, Mo Huaifeng opened the cap of a bottle of mineral water. His eyelids dropped as he tilted his head to drink, looking less stern and mean than he usually did.
Recalling Ji Zhiyao’s whole ‘matter-of-factly’ manner before, it was exactly like he had seen in the game in the morning.
Just as eighth-grade syndrome as ever.
He finished drinking and hearing the mor by his ears growing louder, almost bluntly expressed his annoyance on his face.
As the clutching of the stic bottle let out a crushing sound, themotion in the backseat ended abruptly.
Mo Huaifeng glimpsed in the rear view mirror. “Next week, both of you, three hours of livestream everyday.”
“Chief, you are so cruel...”
“Chief, I was really wrong!”
“One minute less.” Mo Huaifeng added slowly amidst the wailing. “I will hold your heads down and add an extra hour.”
The interior of the vehicle instantly went silent.
