Chapter 778: That is My Future Mother-in-Law

Mrs. Yue patted Yan Qingsi’s hand. “I’m not telling you to marry him immediately. As long as you be a Yue—that’s all I want.”
Yan Qingsi nodded her head. “Alright...”
“Then can you just call me ‘mom’ first?” Mrs. Yue whispered conspiratorially.
Yan Qingsi’s cheeks reddened immediately.
During dinner at night, Yan Qingsi scrolled through Weibo. Her name was a trending search topic, albeit not one of the top trending ones. Someone had posted a picture of her shopping in the afternoon. Fortunately, the picture did not really capture Mrs. Yue’s face.
A few media sites were also circting the picture. They even spected that Mrs. Yue was Yan Qingsi’s future mother-inw. Were the two out to buy wedding items?
Some people took it one step further: she was pregnant, and they were out to buy infant products.
Many people were mentioning and tagging Yan Qingsi’s ount in Weibo, asking her if that person was her future mother-inw.
Yan Qingsi did not think twice before answering, Yes. That’s my future mother-inw!
After replying, Yan Qingsi turned off her phone before she could see her Weibo ount explode.
Later, Yue Tingfeng thrusted his phone into his mother’s face. “Mom, Mom...there’s abel pped on you now,” he said.
“Whatbel?”
Mrs. Yue scanned the phone. Shock washed over her, then she screamed.
Happiness hade to her too suddenly. She felt as though a giant pie had abruptly hit her.
Yan Qingsi lifted her head. “What happened, Auntie?” she asked.
Mrs. Yue covered her reddening face, peeking at her through the cracks between her fingers.
Yue Tingfeng stuffed himself with a bowl of fish soup. “She’s shy right now,” he said.
“Huh?”
Mrs. Yue’s tion led her to pull Yan Qingsi to sleep next to her that night. She did not care about what Yue Tingfeng said—she wanted to be rebellious, so she did not care.
Yue Tingfeng was pushed out the door. He stood outside, sighing as he leaned against the wall. He should have not said anything. Why did he have to bber so much?
...
The charity dinner was approaching. Yan Qingsi was anxious; she had an aversion toward dinners, as all the events she had been in before had turned into disasters because of her.
“You have to go. You already imed me as your mother-inw,” Mrs. Yue told her sternly. “We Yues are already dying out. We’re everyone’s target because there are so few of us. It’s so rare to have another member who’s so good atbat. Even if you can’t go, you will have to somehow. It’s not just you, though—Mianmian has to go as well.”
“But all the dinners I’ve been to have be disasters because of me...” Yan Qingsi replied, worried.
Mrs. Yue smiled. “That’s good. Make it a disaster! We’re going to create a disaster tonight!”
Her mission today was to create a scene for Mrs. Hn. Since she had even tried to sabotage her son, Mrs. Yue was going to strangle that b*tch.
“If you want me to create a scene, then sure, I’ll go!”
Yan Qingsi called Ji Mianmian over.
As soon as they were ready, they all left together in two separate cars.
Jiang Lai drove Yue Tingfeng and Yan Qingsi, while Qu Jing drove Mrs. Yue and Ji Mianmian.
Tonight, Ji Mianmian was wearing a ck, V-cored cocktail dress withce detailing, a dainty pendant adorning the base of her throat. She also wore makeup and seemed like apletely different person. She looked pretty and adorable, but she also had the air of an elegant, refined youngdy.
Qu Jing nced into the rearview mirror from time to time as he drove. Mrs. Yue noticed this. “Little Qu, eyes on the road,” she said. “Whatever you’re looking at isn’t yours and don’t you even think about making it yours.”
Qu Jing pursed his lips. “I understand. But can’t I check out the back, Ma’am?”
“I’m scared that you will stare so much that you end up having perverted tendencies,” Mrs. Yue said.
“No way.”
“You can look at anyone you like at the dinner. Go and find someone sultry to entertain you.”
