    A staff member brought a man in handcuffs and shackles to Leng Xuan. “I’ve brought the person you wanted to see, Elder Leng.”


    “You may leave.”


    “Yes.” The staff bowed to her and left, closing the door behind him.


    Leng Xuan tilted her head and smiled as she gazed at the man. She politely greeted him. “Master.”


    The manughed and swaggered over to the sofa, his metal shackles clinking loudly as he walked.


    Leng Xuan narrowed her eyes slightly at his situation.


    The man sat across from Leng Xuan and studied her face for a couple of seconds beforeughing. “You’ve changed now that you’re the big shot of 102.”


    Leng Xuan poured a cup of tea and offered it to him. “I wouldn’t have gotten this chance if you hadn’t groomed me.”


    The man squinted at the teacup before taking it from her and staring down at the floating tea leaves. “Let’s get straight to the point. What’s the purpose of your visit?”


    Leng Xuan’s lips curled up. “I need a small favor from you.”
