    After An Qi finished speaking, she no longer bothered to waste her breath on Xie Yuqing. She turned around and was about to leave. Suddenly, a loud shriek erupted from the side, “An Qi, behind you!”

    Only then did Nie Yunfan breathe a sigh of relief and turn his attention away from An Qi. He narrowed his eyes and stared coldly at the struggling Xie Yuqing.


    “Darn you! Let go of me! Let me go!’ Xie Yuqing used her other free hand and struck Nie Yunfan’s clutching hand as an attempt to set herself free from his grasp by all means.


    Whatever she struck him with, it became apparent there was a difference in strength between a woman and a man.?Xie Yuqing was not able to break free from Nie Yunfan’s grasp even after it took her some time. She red fiercely at the two people in front of her.

    This was said by a resident who lived in the same neighbourhood as An Qi and An Yue. He had happened to witness the scene when Xie Yuqing attempted murder with a dagger and was so shocked that he dialed the police number right away.


    Coincidentally, there was a police station nearby their neighborhood. The police officers rushed over as soon as they received the report. In just a moment, they arrived at the scene.


    As a result, be it fortunate or unfortunate, the moment they entered through the main entrance of the neighborhood, they saw the scene where Xie Yuqing stabbed An Qi.

    Xie Yuqing was agitated upon hearing the police officers’ words. “Lay a hand on me, huh?! Do you know who I am?! I am…” She struggled while screaming at them before she abruptly stopped.

    Upon hearing Xie Yuqing’s smug tone, the police officers had really thought that they had arrested a VIP. Only to find outter that Xie Yuqing had gone silent. They locked gazes with one another and became ferocious.

    Even though she did not dare to touch the people suppressing her, it did not mean she dared noty hands on An Yue and the rest of her group. Xie Yuqing bit her lips and red at them angrily.


    An Qi was still in Nie Yunfan’s arms.?She was still shaken by the terror of the narrow escape.?When she looked up and saw that Xie Yuqing could not move because she was being restrained by the others, she snickered, “Ms. Xie, instead of questioning us, you might as well think about how to exin to the police how a richdy ends up being a murderer.”


    “You!” Xie Yuqing looked angry. She red at An Qi as if she could not wait to rip her apart.


    Unfortunately, before she could stare any further, the police officers had already dragged her away from An Qi.


    “Mister, miss, we received a police report about someone wounding others with a dagger at Belford district,” the remaining officer said. “Pleasee to the police station with us as one of the victims to make a statement.”


    An Yue heaved a sigh of relief when Xie Yuqing was taken away. Just when she was about to handle the rest, she abruptly noticed something. Her expression changed and screamed, “An Qi!”


    Just like An Yue, An Qi exhaled a sigh of relief when Xie Yuqing was taken away. Her tense nerves were relieved. The pain in her wound, on the other hand, became more intense as it passed through her nervous system.


    She was in pain and tired as a result of the blood loss. Finally, An Qi felt her vision going dark before copsing in Nie Yunfan’s arms.


    Nie Yunfan was stunned when he heard An Yue’s?scream. The next thing he knew, he was carrying a heavy weight in his arms. He quickly looked down, only to see An Qi’s pale face, devoid of blood.. An Yue’s words echoed in his ears, “Ahh! Blood… Her wound had reopened! Wake up, An Qi!?Don’t frighten me!”
