    Jiang Mingyue noticed Mu Qing’s silence and did not continue with the subject.

    Huo Yao put her school back down and asked quizzically. “Dad?”


    “I will send Goofy over to Tingrui’s ce in a minute,” said Huo Jinyan angrily.


    There was no reason for a father to help raise his son’s son.


    Huo Yao’s lips twitched. “What happened?”


    The moment she brought this up, Huo Jinyan even had trouble breathing. “The stupid dog broke my vase.”


    “Which vase?” Huo Yao’s temples throbbed as she nced around the living room. “Don’t tell me it’s the blue and white porcin vase that used to be disyed here?”


    “That’s the one!” said Huo Jinyan as he gritted his teeth. It was a Song Dynasty artifact!


    Huo Yao pressed her forehead. Goofy had cost her $10 000. In just a matter of days, their family had lost millions. Sure enough, he was an oil guzzler.


    Huo Yao put down her hand and said solemnly, “Dad, I am on your side. Are you done packing? Do you need my help?”


    “I am done packing, but I have trouble carrying the stuff over. Why don’t youe along with me?” said Huo Jinyan after giving it some thought.


    “Sure,” acknowledged Huo Yao since she was free.


    Huo Jinyan felt sorry about the antiques and Huo Yao felt bad about the money, so they quickly brought Goofy straight to Huo Tingrui’s ce.


    Huo Tingrui’s ce was also amongst the top ten high-end estates in town, so its surroundings were beautiful and offered great convenience.


    The two of them took the lift to the 15th story and walked up to apartment number 1501. Huo Jinyan ced the box on the ground and entered the password on the thumbprint lock.


    Huo Yao held the dog leash as she stood beside him and heard the security system prompting them that the password was incorrect.


    “Wrong password?” Huo Jinyan frowned. “That’s impossible. The password is correct.”


    He cautiously entered the numbers again only to hear the same notification.


    Huo Jinyan instantly looked annoyed. “Did that stupid boy change the password?”


    Huo Yao raised her head and nced at the digital lock and said, “Dad, let me give it a shot.”


    Huo Jinyan turned to look at his daughter. “Do you know the password?”


    “Uh huh.” Huo Yao nodded with a straight face.


    Huo Jinyan waspletely unsuspecting. He stood aside and took the dog leash.


    Huo Yao took two steps forward and quickly tapped on the security panel. The security system software popped up on the screen and the lock quickly beeped when she seeded in opening the door.


    Huo Yao pulled her hand back. “All done.”


    Huo Jinyan blinked perplexedly. “Were you entering the password earlier?”


    Why did he have a feeling that she did not enter the password the same way?
