Lei Xiao ced his legs on the office tablezily and leaned into the chair slightly. “I won’t ever get into trouble, so don’t worry.”
“Okay. I’m going now,” said Huo Yao.
Lei Xiao hummed in response. Just as he was about to say goodbye, he suddenly remembered something and said, “Hang on. I remember the National Academy of Medicine researching a new analysis solution that aims to analyze heavy metal content in the blood. Since it is still at the experimental level, I don’t know anything else about it.”
Huo Yao narrowed her eyes the moment she heard this. Momentster, she spoke in a much cooler tone. “Things that go against nature wille to no good end.”
The moment she finished her sentence, she hung up the phone.
Lei Xiao went quiet.
What had gotten into her? Why the temper?
He was simply talking about an analysis solution.
Lei Xiao stared at his phonepletely puzzled. However, he could not muster the courage to ask her.

The next day.
After lunch, Huo Yao wanted to go back to the library. However, she received a text message from Dai Jie asking to see her at the self-study ssroom with something to ask her.
Huo Yao was halfway to the library when she turned back to the self-study ssroom. Shortly after she arrived at the entrance, Dai Jie stood up. “Hi. You’re here.”
Other than Dai Jie there were no other students in the ssroom.
Huo Yao walked over and bowed. “Hi, Dai Jie.”
Dai Jie pointed at the chair beside him. After waiting for Huo Yao to take a seat, he got straight to his point and asked. “Mr. Liu mentioned that you have done some research about the decipherment of gic code.”
Huo Yao did not expect Dai Jie to ask her this. She paused briefly before she nodded without denying it. “A little.”
“You see, I am kind of stuck. I was unable to achieve 100% during theparative testing for an experiment in this area.” Dai Jie scratched his hair and looked upset.
The moment Huo Yao heard what he said, she was caught by surprise. Why were so many people interested in this subject offte?
She recalled the experiment thatshe was involved in recently was the same subject.
Huo Yao pondered before she said, “Do you have the initial values? I can check it for you.”
“Of course. However, I don’t have it with me now,” replied Dai Jie.
Even though he was asked to conduct data analysis for Jiang Mingyue’s experiment, they insisted that the details of the experiment be kept confidential. Any documentation rted to the experiment was only essible in theboratory when they needed it. After theboratory session was over, he naturally did not dare to leave with them.
Since everyone was involved in different fields and there was no conflict of interest, perhaps he could get Huo Yao toe over to theboratory and check out those initial values.
Dai Jie contemted before taking out his phone. He turned to say to Huo Yao as he lowered his head to send a text message. “Give me a minute. Let me ask the research team. You see, I am just helping them do some data analysis, so I don’t have a say in this.”
Huo Yao nodded patiently. “Take your time.”
Shortly after sending out the text message, Dai Jie received a reply. After reading the message, he raised his head and looked at Huo Yao. “She happens to be in theboratory. Do you have anything going onter?”
“I’m free.”
“Then it’s perfect.” Dai Jie put away his phone. “In that case, let’s go over now.”
Before long, Huo Yao and Dai Jie headed over to theboratory.
Dai Jie continued talking as he walked ahead. “No pressure here. If you think you can’t be of any helpter, don’t worry about it. After all, we don’t specialize in the subject.”
Huo Yao quietly listened to him until they reached theboratory entrance. It was an unforgettableboratory and her temples throbbed the moment they arrived there.
She reached her hand out and pulled Dai Jie’s arm just as he was about to press the doorbell.
