    Although she was just looking at the screen, she was sure that was her mother’s blue diamond ne!


    This ne had a nice name, ‘Touched’. It was an engagement gift which Su Wan’s father, Su Jianyan, had given to her mother, Xie Lan.


    Su Wan looked at the blue diamond ne and she was quiet. Some distant memories of the past seemed to have appeared in front of her.


    She remembered when she was still in elementary school, she liked the blue diamond ne worn on her mother’s neck. She kept urging her mother to give her the ne.


    Her mother only caressed her head and squatted to look at Su Wan at eye level, “Wan, wait till you grow up and find your prince charming, then I’ll give you this ne as your wedding gift.”


    As she spoke, both Su Wan’s mother and father smiled, gazing at one another. They wanted to wait till she got married and she didn’t know how long they had to wait.


    At that time, Su Wan had no idea what marriage really meant. However, because she liked the blue diamond ne, she had dreamt of growing up quickly so she could wear it.


    However, she had never expected the opportunity to wear this ne for her and witness her wedding to slip through her parents’ fingers.


    The past welled up in her mind and she hadplicated look. She couldn’t help sighing.


    Growing up was just a matter of a moment but some people could nevere back.


    Jiang Xuecheng saw Su Wan’s faint mncholic look and a faint dim light appeared in his eyes, “Why did you suddenly sigh?”


    Hearing Jiang Xuecheng’s question, Su Wan felt bitter. She held Jiang Xuecheng’s arm and with a soft but extremely firm voice, requested, “Xuecheng, I wish to buy this blue diamond ne.”


    “Alright.”


    Jiang Xuecheng could sense Su Wan’s seriousness and agreed without a second thought. Jiang Xuecheng thought Su Wan would be happy but she hugged him suddenly and murmured softly in his embrace.


    “That’s my mother’s ne.”


    Su Wan’s voice was soft. If not for Jiang Xuecheng’s sharp hearing, he might have missed what she said.


    Su Wan bit her lips. She raised her head to look into Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes. At the thought of this man fulfilling all her wishes so easily, her bitterness suddenly deepened for no reasons.


    Jiang Xuecheng looked at her helplessly. There were no tears in her eyes and her eyes were not red but her watery-looking almond eyes had created an illusion for Jiang Xuecheng.


    It looked as if tears would fall anytime if Su Wan blinked her eyes slightly.


    Jiang Xuecheng suddenly thought of something. He asked faintly, “Wan Wan, are you sure that it’s your mother’s ne? Are you sure you’re not mistaken?”


    Su Wan nodded. Her shoulders trembled slightly. A surge of emotions welled up in her head but her voice was extraordinarily calm, with a special kind of strength.


    “I couldn’t have gotten it wrong. What Helena is exhibiting now is exactly the same as my mother’s ne. The quality is the same too. Moreover, my father had once said that this ne was his gift to my mother and there’s only one in this world.”


    Jiang Xuecheng’s held Su Wan’s shoulders and tried to calm her down.


    “Wan Wan, since this is your mother’s ne, why is it here?”


    Su Wan did not answer immediately. She looked at the stage and stared steadily at the blue diamond ne.


    She took a deep breath and shut her eyes. Her lonely eyes gradually recovered.


    This ne by the name of Touched had gotten lost about the same time as when her parents met with the ident.


    Because the car ident had been too unexpected, everyone in the Su family were busy arranging for Su Jianyan’s and Xie Lan’s funeral. By the time they discovered that the ne was gone, it had already been a week after the funeral.


    Su Wan sorted out her thoughts and narrated all this to Jiang Xuecheng.


    Jiang Xuecheng listened quietly and his face suddenly turned cold.


    “Wan Wan, do you think there’s a possibility that this ne was lost on the day of your parents’ car ident?”


    Su Wan was stupefied. Her face changed and her brows were knitted tightly.


    “Xuecheng, you mean the person killed my parents because of this ne?”


    It was impossible. This blue diamond ne was no doubt valuable butpared to the Su family’s assets, it was merely the tip of the iceberg.


    If the murderer was really trying to rob Su Wan’s parents, why hadn’t he ambushed them both and ckmail them?


    Hearing Su Wan’s analysis, Jiang Xuehceng shook his head. He had basically learned that what happened that year was the evil plot of Su Wan’s uncle, Su Jiankai, but did not have enough evidence to arrest him.


    This ne was a breakthrough for his investigation.


    “I can confirm that the one who wanted your parents’ life did not do it for the sake of the ne. However, the one hired to make the car crash might have gotten greedy...”


    As Jiang Xuecheng spoke, he paused. His eyes moved toward the blue ne and his voice was as deep as the night.


    “Wan Wan, no matter what the reality is, this ne is a great opportunity for us to investigate the incident back then.”


    Jiang Xuecheng had searched for the person who caused the car crash for a long time but unfortunately, there was no sign of the driver and it was like looking for a needle in a haystack.


    This ne was like pennies from heaven.


    Su Wan listened carefully at Jiang Xuecheng. She looked downplicatedly, “Xuecheng, should we ask Lu Qingyu who sold this ne to them?”


    Jiang Xuecheng nodded. His eyes were dark and he looked steadily at Su Wan.


    “ording to the rules of the Lu’s auction, the seller might be on the cruise ship today. Wan Wan, you sit here to continue with the bidding. I’ll go and look for Lu Qingyu.”


    It was easy to alert the enemy if one acted rashly. The driver had disappeared for a long time now and it was impossible for him to send the ne personally to the Lu’s auction. Hence, Jiang Xuecheng was certain that someone else was here to sell the ne.


    However, Jiang Xuecheng did not know how many owners the ne had gone to after the driver sold it.


    He hoped not many people were involved in the middle, to ease the investigation.

    Jiang Xuecheng stood outside Lu Qingyu’s room. After knocking for a long time, he heard a soft “Come in.”


    The minute he pushed the door open, Jiang Xuecheng’s nose was filled with strong smell of perfume.


    Not far from him, on the velvet sofa, Lu Qingyu was hugging a popr female celebrity. Both of them were very close to one another. He was not sure what they were talking about but the female celebrity wasughing, clearly amused.


    Seeing that scene, Jiang Xuecheng’s forehead creased.


    “I’ve something important to talk to you about. Please ask the irrelevant person to leave.”
