"I warned you not to wear the high heels but you did not listen to me. You even used your injured foot to hit a guy who doesn''t even deserve to see you angry. When you entertained the thought to attack him with your injured leg, did you perhaps think you are made of steel or what?" Jackson asked sounding pretty upset.


    "Ice Prince stop scolding me because my foot is only hurting slightly. I can manage just fine so don''t worry...,"


    "I will never believe you so wait here while I get you an ice to apply on your hurting ankle," Jackson said as he let go of her leg. He left to go search for an ice bag for her.


    "I never knew that the renowned Ice Prince could be so gentle and sweet. Thinking about how he did not hesitate to kneel on one foot to massage her legs in front of everyone makes me so envious of her," Onedy wearing a grey sleeveless dress said while staring at Jasmine with envious nces.

    Jane had nned to push one of the annoyingdies down but when she recalled for how long she had maintained the angelic image she turned and walked away in anger.


    Just then Jasmine raises her gaze in time to see Mrs Smith coughing badly.


    "Gosh, I think she choked on something," Jasmine muttered before she immediately stood up, grabbed a ss of water lying on the tray of a waiter who walked past her table. She walked towards where the woman stood. She cared less about her hurting foot and Jackson''s warning.


    "Auntie, have this water, you will feel better after drinking it," Jasmine said as she extend her hand to give the coughingdy the ss of water. Mrs Smith whose gaze was lowered raised her hand to collect the ss of water.


    "Thank...," She paused whatever she wanted to say when she got a glimpse of Jasmine''s face. She withdraw her raised hand not wanting to ept the water from Jasmine anymore.

    "Auntie, have a ss of your favourite wine. I am sure you will feel much better after consuming it," Jasmine heard ady gentle voice say. She shifted her gaze to stare at Jane standing just beside her with a ss of sparkling wine.

Marrying my son will be a blessing not only to him but our entire family," Mrs Smith said with smiles as she collected the ss of wine from Jane. They both watched as the woman take a sip from the white ss in her hand.


    "Auntie is just ttering me. Marrying Jack will be a blessing to me and my family and not the other way around," Jane said in her sweetest voice while putting on a victorious smile. She smiled at Jasmine to show her that she won while Jasmine lost.


    "You are being too humble," Mrs Smith saidpletely ignoring thedy who did not care about her hurting leg merely because she wanted to help the elderly woman.


    "Have fun, I will leave you now," Mrs Smith said as she turned and left Jasmine all embarrassed.


    People began murmuring while staring at Jasmine after what Mrs Smith did.


    "That woman''s behaviour is way too much. How could she treat Jasmine in such a way? I swear she is bitting more than she can chew," Elizabeth who witness everything said in anger.


    "I know she is being unfair to Jasmine but there is nothing we can do. This is she and Jackson''s problem so let them handle it. Because Jasmine is quiet doesn''t mean that she is a pushover. She knows what she is doing so let her handle it," Alfred said on seeing how angry his wife was.


    Back in where Jasmine stood, she stare at the ss of water in her hand. She could not help but wonder what she was thinking when she rushed forward to help the woman.


    She is Ice Prince mum so I can''t get upset or he might get mad at me.


    Jasmine thought as she made to turn away but Jane''s words made her turn and stare at the woman.


    "Have you now realised who is the now the ideal daughter-inw and who is the cheap mistress?" Jane said in low tones that others won''t be able to hear what she said.


    "If you are a smart woman then you will definitely know your ce after what happened but if this humiliation wasn''t enough, you can keep on trying. I am sure mum won''t get tired of embarrassing you," Jane said grinning evilly.


    Jasmine turned and dropped the ss of water on the tray of a waitress who just passed by. She turned to face Jane afterwards.

    "Also, you can go ahead and marry Ice Prince mum since she is the one who seems to adore you.. I don''t give a damn about who you marry as long as it is not my Ice Prince," Jasmine said grinning as she stare at the fumingdy.
