Chapter 422 – The Pool Game


    After theirughter died down they all left for the most popr gaming store in the city. When they reached the gaming house the first section they went to was the pool game section.


    The owner of the ce is very familiar with the prominent figures who just arrived so he came out to greet them. He was even the one who led them to the table they were supposed to use.


    "Guys, so how should we y the game? Should all of us y at once first or we should share ourselves into two teams?" Alfred asked as he stare at their faces for answers.


    "Let''s y two teams…,"


    "Guys vsdies," Jeff said and everyone seems to support him.


    "Jasmine, do you know how to y or do you want me to teach you?" Jackson asked staring at her face.


    "What are you saying…,"


    "Teach me. I bet I will be a pro if I learn from you," Jasmine said secretly signalling Catherine not to say anything.


    "Cat, what were you trying to say earlier?" Evelyn asked the quiet Catherine who looked like she had something to say some moment ago.


    "I guess she wanted to say letting Ice Prince teach me is cheating," Jasmine said not letting Catherine talk.


    "That is not considered cheating. Anyone who doesn''t know how to y can learn from those who know before the real game starts," Evelyn said as she stare at Jasmine and Jackson who had already taken their positions on the pool table.


    After making her stand like she ought to, Jackson slightly made her bend. As he tried to teach his woman how to y pool games his attention was focused on her but no one or nothing else.


    "Always maintain your fingers in this position whenever you are ying, do you hear me?" Jackson asked expecting to receive a response from her. When Jasmine didn''t reply he turned his gaze to her face.


    It was after he stares at her he realised that she has been staring at his face all along. He was so certain she didn''t hear a single word he said.


    "Were you even listening to me?" Jackson asked staring into her passionate eyes which hasn''t moved from his face for a second.


    "I… I couldn''t resist staring at your handsome face and I guess this is due to our closeness. I was unintentionally charmed by you," Jasmine said absentmindedly.


    "How are you going to learn how to y it if you won''t even listen to me…,"


    "She is acting this way because she does not require your training," Catherine said the words she couldn''t say because of Jasmine''s signal earlier.


    "What do you mean?" Jeff and Evelyn asked in a curious tone.


    "That''s because Jasmine is a pro in ying pool games. She can even strike and score with her eyes closed, that is how good she is," Catherine said to the amazement of almost everyone. The only ones who didn''t find the revtion shocking was Elizabeth and Alfred. And this was because they have known Jasmine longer than others.


    "That is impossible. You must be lying right, Cat?" Evelyn said as she stare at Jasmine like she was a stranger.


    "If Catherine is the one who says it then I believe that she is right. Actually, Jasmine is a pro in gaming. They are only a few games she isn''t good at. Because of gaming, she was even given the title the goddess of gaming in high school," Elizabeth said with a smile.


    "Jasmine, are you that good like they said?" Evelyn asked still doubting their words.


    When the news said Jasmine was good at gaming she thought it was only restricted to video gaming. Now she learns that wasn''t the case she can''t bring herself to believe that the tinydy before her was an all-around expert in games.


    "I will not respond to that question since it will sound like I am boasting. You will know how good I am when we start ying," Jasmine with confidence.


    "If that is the case then what are we waiting for, let''s y now," Jeff said in excitement. Before themencement of the game, the two teams agreed that a total of three rounds must be yed so that everyone in each team will have to chance to y. And it was also agreed that the team to pocket the most balls in thest round will be crowned the winner.


    The game was merely for fun and not a professional pool game so none objected.


    To determine which team will break, a coin was tossed and the guys ended up breaking.


    When the first round started Evelyn was the first to y in thedies team and she was only able to strike three balls into the pockets before she failed to hit a ball, automatically making it the men''s team to y.


    Just like previously determined by each team Jeff was made the first to y for the men. Steve kept praising him after he strike the third ball.


    "What''s there to be so happy when you guys will be the one losing when Jasmine gets in a position of the cue stick," Catherine says with pride.


    "Nothing is certain so don''t be too confident Cat, who knows youdies might end up losing before it gets to Jasmine''s turn," Steve said yfully.


    "You guys should rejoice while you can because you won''t be able to smile soon," Elizabeth said with smiles.


    The two teams took turns in nning ording to how it was scheduled. With the guys very good in the game, the loser team was very obvious. Thedies had no choice but to count on Jasmine to turn the table around for their favour.


    Because of Jasmine, they were able to win in the second round. Since it was the guys who won the first round thest round whom thedies had put Jasmine in charge will determine which team will win the game.


    Their desire to win the guys was evident in their cheering.


    "Jasmine, Jasmine, Jasmine!!!" Evelyn and Catherine cheered momentarily forgetting where they are. The excitement that Jasmine strike over six balls into the pocket didn''t make them think straight. That was the highest balls any of thedies had struck so why wouldn''t they be happy.


    The way Jasmine was ying the game like it was a piece of cake made not only Steve and Jeff but also Jackson and Alfred stunned. The expression on their faces showed they haven''t met anyone who ys the game as excellent as Jasmine does.


    She was a pro, no doubts!


    "Is she even human?" Jeff said with his mouth open in agape when he saw that it was only two balls remaining for Jasmine to strike into the pockets to make thedies winners. While theirs was only remaining two balls, the guys still had about three balls remaining.
