<h4>Chapter 600: The Body</h4>
Fang Shaohua staggered backwards. His adopted mother, Fang Ln… was actually dead!
Bai Qinghao’s expression turned heavy. He embraced Fang Xinxin tightly. He was thankful that he could be by her side at this moment.
He wanted to tell her not to be upset. However, her mother had passed away. How was she supposed to be happy?
He had a thousand words to say, but he could only murmur softly. “Xinxin…”
Inside the break room, there were police officers apanying them. After hearing the entire recording, several of the police officers who were involved in the case felt that Fang Liyin waspletely inhumane!
That night, a female corpse was dug out from beneath the Fang family’s storeroom ground. It had rotted to a significant degree.
As the corpse was wrapped in stic wrapping and the ground was sealed with a thickyer of cement, the horrid smell did not escape the ground.
Bai Qinghao originally did not wish for his fiancée to witness this scene. However, she was insistent.
Fang Xinxin watched as her mother’s corpse was dug out from beneath the storeroom where she had lived for more than seven years!
Her tears fell endlessly.
It turns out her mother had always been apanying her in this room. She had suffered all alone beneath the ground.
Yet she had always been unaware.
“Mom!” Fang Xinxin tried to rush towards the corpse. However, Bai Qinghao embraced her tightly and prevented her from going near.
The corpse had rotted to a significant degree and it wasn’t suitable to approach it.
The dead had already left the world. It was better to ensure the wellbeing of the living.
Fang Shaohua approached his adopted mother’s corpse in misery. He was simrly stopped by a police officer. The officer warned. “Please do not touch the crime scene!”
“Xinxin, you have to be strong!” Fang Shaohua turned to see that his sister was crying miserably. He also teared up silently.
He struggled to imagine the trauma she now had to live with after living with her mother’s corpse for seven years.
Bai Qinghao thought the same. The heartache left him deeply in pain. However, there was nothing he could do besides loving Xinxin more from now onwards.
As the Fang family’s vi was now a crime scene, it was temporarily sealed. They could only return to it after the case was closed.
Fang Xinxin’s saliva was retrieved for a DNA test with the corpse. She then returned to the Yu Ting Vi with Bai Qinghao.
Although Fang Shaohua did not wish for her to leave, he understood that only Bai Qinghao could give her thefort she needed right now. Thus, he did not stop her.
He then returned to his own apartment in the Hong Sheng District.
Bai Qinghao sealed off all news regarding the discovery of Fang Ln’s corpse. Aside from several officers involved in the case, the public waspletely unaware of this matter.
Yu Ting Vi.
Fang Xinxin stood in the main bedroom’s balcony. Her gaze was deste as she stared at the Yu Ting Vi’s stunning and vast backyard garden. She was overwhelmed with heartbreak.
Bai Qinghao embraced her from behind, holding her firmly in his arms. His heart was aching for her. “Xinxin, don’t be too upset. Auntie is resting in heaven right now. She wouldn’t wish to see you like this.”
“That’s right. My mom has always doted on and loved me the most.” Fang Xinxin forced a smile despite her paleplexion. However, her smile was filled with sorrow. “When I was young, she once said that she hoped I would spend my whole life in happiness.”
“You have Auntie’s blood in your body. Right now, what you can do is to live well and spend each day happily. This way, she will be able to leave this world without any regrets.”
“En.” She nodded heavily and turned around to press her face against his chest. Her tears soaked his expensive, white dress shirt.
However, he paid no heed to it. He only wished that she never had to suffer something like this again.
“I’m slightly thankful that my father is in aa.” Her voice was gloomy., “This way, he will not know that my mom is no longer around.”
