    After taunting the Consciousness Stealer, Chen Chen’s figure vanished from his original point and before the Consciousness Stealer could realize what was happening, he appeared right next to it. He summoned several bolts of turquoise-colored missiles from his palms and punctured them into the monster’s body!


    “Thump!”


    Giant sshes of ck-colored blood sttered everywhere as Chen Chen prated its body!


    “Hrrr-!”


    The Consciousness Stealer howled with a mix of pain and anger. More tentacles appeared inside its body to try to w Chen Chen out but they were obliterated into specks of dust and mist before they could reach their target. No matter how much it tried, it could not reach the tiny, feeble-looking human!


    “Boom!”


    After about five minutes, a gigantic hole was torn in the back of the Consciousness Stealer and Chen Chen emerged from it, then took to the skies above!


    “Phew, you sure are hard to kill...”


    Chen Chen exhaled, his eyes seemed to glow with excitement as he said, “Even with my destructive powers, it’ll be hard to kill this thingpletely. Good thing I have the nanorobots to help me.”


    At the drop of this mention, ck mists slowly seeped out of the torn openings of the Consciousness Stealer’s body. The cloud of mist seemed to possess lives on their own as they could be seen pouring back into the Consciousness Stealer after only just emerging.


    The Consciousness Stealer kept swiping at this mist helplessly before resorting to wrapping its body with its tentacles. When it realized that its attempts were futile, it began tearing off chunks of flesh from itself as a defensive measure. Still, arge amount of ck mist poured out of every crevice of its body. They clung to its body stubbornly like maggots drawn to rotten flesh!


    One minute, five minutes, ten minutes...


    One hour, two hours, three hours...


    Chen Chen stood above the Consciousness Stealer from dusk until midnight and watched it struggle. After enough time passed, its body seemed hollowed out andrge peels of skin began tearing off. They tore off along withrge columns of dark smoke sprouting out of its body. These clouds of smoke were darker than the night itself!


    In the end, the Consciousness Stealer stopped resisting. The tentacles stopped struggling and rested lifelessly on the ocean as its body began to sink!


    “Bang!”


    When the body of the Consciousness Stealer copsed, it made a tremendous ssh on the surface of the sea. The emerging ck mist lost its vitality upon touching the water. Only the ck mist remaining inside the body of the Consciousness Stealer continued its efforts of eating away at its body.


    These ck mists were the nanorobots.


    Several decades of research by cklight Biotechnology had produced several machines of nanorobots. There were nanorobots purposed for corroding metallic substances and there were also some optimized for carbon-based life forms or stic. These nanorobots were bionic structures like microscopic ants. They would devour substances and convert them into resources so they could duplicate more copies of themselves. These nanorobots could replicate themselves endlessly until their program was terminated...


    They could go on endlessly until they had destroyed everything on the surface of the earth...


    With this invention, Chen Chen could destroy the Consciousness Stealer without a trace of its remains.


    Chen Chen silently watched as the bloated corpse on the ocean slowly shrunk under the effect of the ck mist. He waited all night and by the time the sun crept up the horizon on the next day, the final chunk of flesh of the Consciousness Stealer had corroded without a trace.


    The Consciousness Stealer was erased. Not a single cell of it remained to prove it once existed on Earth as they were all swallowed by the nanorobots.


    “Alright X-112, lift the psionic restriction.”


    Chen Chen ordered, “I’m going to use my psionic powers to detect if there’s any trace of it remaining..”


    Yes, Sir.”


    X-112 replied dutifully and deactivated the reality anchors, immediately lifting the global psionic suppression. The moment this was done, Chen Chen felt a surge of power rushing into his head.


    “This is...”


    Chen Chen’s expression changed immediately.


    The surge of power looked like it finally found a crack it could slip through. Like a tiny hole poked into the bottom of an overflowing container, it first slowly seeped into Chen Chen’s mind. Soon, the pressure built up and it began overflowing through the crack until the dam broke open and they poured through the opening!


    “Boom!”


    A limitless surge of psionic energy poured into Chen Chen’s mind like a sh flood. This was the remnant of the Consciousness Stealer following its death that was held stagnant due to the reality anchor’s effects. The moment X-112 unbottled the reality anchor’s effects, the built-up psionic concentration flowed into Chen Chen’s mind unsparingly!


    “Ah-!”


    Chen Chen wrapped his hands around his head and screamed harrowingly while he suffered the torrent of psionic energy!


    It was so overpowering that at one point Chen Chen considered getting out of this ce. It was only a momentary thought while the sane part of his mind convinced himself to stay here and take in all of this psionic concentration!


    One minute, two minutes, three minutes...


    At first, Chen Chen counted the seconds and minutes that passed. As this went on, the sharp throb in his mind became so unbearable that he could not remain conscious anymore. His body and mind gave away. He tumbled from the sky above and into the ocean, creating a ssh as he sunk into its depths!


    “Glug, glug, glug...”


    The seawater came over Chen Chen’s eyes and drowned out his consciousness. In the void of his mind, he saw something that glowed with a faint yellow. There was nothing in the world like it. It was surrounded by gray air currents with streams of blood-red bubbles gurgling around it. Then, something that he could notprehend whether it was a sentient being or just a mere substance appeared amid this void.


    Chen Chen’s consciousness brushed past these bubbles obstructing his path and looked into the center of a vast ckhole-like entity in the dancing void. Thousands of bright golden spots swirled inside the ck hole!


    The ck hole along with its multitudes of beams of light flickered in the unending void with a gigantic ball of light at its center. The radiant ball of light outshone all the spots of lights hovering nearby it. It was the dazzling morning sun lighting up the night sky!


    While Chen Chen was still trying toprehend what he was seeing, the sun began to expand... It seemed like it was fueled by an unknown source of energy and with one giant surge, it doubled in size, then tripled, quadrupled!


    Eventually, the sun exploded like a supernova would. It turned into a radiant burning meteor moments before its eruption and scattered into countless spouts of mes. The shockwave of its explosion scattered far and wide across the void...


    “Could this be...”


    Chen Chen finally realized what he was looking at, but his consciousness faded away after that.


    After several minutes that seemed like an eternity. After what felt like several lifetimes of sleep, Chen Chen finally regained consciousness. He woke up on the seabed.


    “Ssh!”


    Chen Chen torpedoed out of the surface of the sea. The seawater that clung to his skin and his clothes did not evaporate but instead had the atoms of their existence erased by his Field.


    “That took far longer than I expected.”


    Chen Chen muttered.


    “Sir Commander, you’re finally awake!”


    X-112’s urgent voice came from the earpiece. “What happened to you just now? I’ve been calling for you for more than ten minutes! I was going to mobilize our forces and send a team underwater to rescue you!”


    “Nothing much, just iming some ‘remnants’ that rightfully belong to me.”


    Chen Chen answered, “I’ve been scattering the psionic seed to all of human society to bolster my powers. It looks like the Consciousness Stealer is doing that same thing. That exins why it needs humans alive. Anyway, it has be feed for me despite its struggles...”


    Chen Chen raised his right hand and looked at his palm. “In the past, I absorbed the psionic energy from the Consciousness Stealer through the power of the ‘Consciousness Battlefield’. That was when I gained a part of Consciousness Stealer and in a way, was when I became the Consciousness Stealer.


    “Now that I’ve killed this ‘twin’, its powers belong to me since we came from the same source...”


    Chen Chen slowly pushed outward with his palms and created a powerful st thatunched into the sky and broke through the clouds, then went further onward to the ozoneyer until it broke through into space!


    “This power...”


    Chen Chen looked at the gigantic pit formed in the sky with his psionic powers. He was floored by this disy of power. “What terrific power!”


    “Congrattions, Sir Commander!”


    X-112 was the first to congratte him upon witnessing this, “Sir Commander, you’ve once again raised your power level!”


    “I see...”


    Chen Chen could not stop himself from breaking into a smile when X-112 stated this. His smile grew from a subtle grin to an ear-to-ear smile until eventually, he began howling withughter!


    “Hahahaha....


    “Hahahaha!!!”
