Chapter 203: Existential ne Seeds, The Ten Major Divine Realms

Trantor: As Studios Editor: As Studios
“Congrattions, mortal! You’re now the Tower of Time’s new master!”
The gigantic human visage in the sky dissipated with a loud boom, and a round, golden, ball-like creature took its ce.
It had a nose, eyes, ears, and a mouth, as well as a pair of miniature devil wings and a long devil tail. The only thing missing was arms and legs.
...A little devil?
“You’re...”
Stupefied, Meng Lei stared at the peculiar round lifeform that had suddenly appeared, a puzzled looking over his features.
“I’m Dod, the Tower of Time’s guardian spirit!” The round lifeform introduced itself with a smile. “You can call me Lord Dod!”
“...Lord Dod?”
Meng Lei was rendered somewhat speechless. “You may be the tower’s guardian spirit, but I’m its new master. By right, shouldn’t you be calling me Master instead?”
“Uh...”
Dod was momentarily taken aback before it scoffed indignantly. “I will never acknowledge you until you be a higher deity! Master? We’ll talk about it when you’ve be a higher deity!”
“What a proud little fellow...”
Meng Lei couldn’t help butugh. Rather than obsessing over a matter as senseless as that, he instead asked, “How can I refine the Tower of Time, Dod?”
“It’s very simple. You just need to enter a contract with me!”
Dod pped its miniature devil wings and exined, “Since I’m the Tower of Time’s guardian spirit, you need only to enter a contract with me, and the act will be tantamount to having refined the Tower of Time.”
“Let’s do it!”
“Alright!”
Dod turned around. Dazzling golden light rose from its back, the light beams converging to form aplex, profound-looking magic circle.
Then, it instructed, “Drip a drop of your blood into it!”
“Okay!”
A drop of blood fell into the magic circle with a flick of Meng Lei’s fingers before being absorbed.
Buzz...
Upon absorbing the blood, the magic circle behind Dod went from a golden color into a blood-red color.
Then, the blood-red magic circle rose into the air before shrinking and ultimately disappearing between Meng Lei’s brows.
A split secondter, an enormous wave of information flowed into his mind. At once, Meng Lei sensed a strange and fascinating connection forming between himself and the Tower of Time.
He could now visit any of the Tower of Time’s levels anytime he wanted to!
He could now check on any of the Tower of Time’s levels anytime he wanted to!
He could now kill any of the Magical Beasts in the Tower of Time anytime he wanted to!
He could even change the environment in any of the levels if he wanted to. Moving mountains and filling in seas, sinking continents and creating forests, overturning the skies and flipping the earth...
All it required was a mere thought.
From this moment on, the Tower of Time... hadpletely be a possession for his exclusive use.
“A 100-levels-high Tower of Time where the first 99 levels are all half-nes...”
As Meng Lei took in the Tower of Time in detail, he couldn’t help but exim, “Every single half-ne spans an extremely wide area and is actually equivalent to quite a few Lost Continents!”
“What’s the big deal about that? Sealing a half-ne is something that ordinary deities can already achieve. In fact, even half-deities can do it. The truly impressive part about the Tower of Time lies in the time-basedws of nature that fill up all 99 half-nes!”
Dod exined with a light smile, “You must understand that once a half-ne is sealed into a vessel, it bes isted from the rest of the world, and time immediately stops in that world. Therefore, it can only be used to store lifeless objects. It’s impossible to store living things in there.
“However, this is not the case for the Tower of Time. Living things can be stored in every half-ne here, and they’re no different from other normal material nes. This is all thanks to time-basedws of nature. And these time-basedws of nature in the Tower of Time were left behind by the great and noble God of Time!”
“I can even manipte the time-basedws of nature in the Tower of Time to revive Magical Beasts that were killed. This is too amazing!”
Meng Lei was filled with marvel.
In the past, legend went that the Tower of Time was capable of turning back time and reviving the dead Magical Beasts. From the look of things now, the legends were indeed real.
“The ability to manipte time is exactly what makes this time-based divine weapon—the Tower of Time—so strong and powerful.” Dod gave him a proud smile and added, “And that’s not even the most precious and valuable part about the Tower of Time!”
“Not even that? Then what is?” Meng Lei was surprised. “Could it be the legacy left behind by the God of Time? His wealth and assets? Or perhaps the cultivation method for time-basedws of nature?”
“What we’re talking about is the Tower of Time itself, not the objects that exist outside of it!”
Dod was rendered speechless. Then, it said, “The most precious and valuable part about the Tower of Time lies in the 100th level.”
“The 100th level?”
Meng Lei looked around him—aside from the floating ind beneath his feet, all there was around him was just an endless expanse of fog. There was nothing else apart from that.
Laws of nature? Practically none!
Magic elements? They were incredibly sparse!
Was this level the most precious and valuable one? He really couldn’t tell!
“You can’t tell, can you?”
A smug smile appeared on Dod’s lips.
“Not at all!” Meng Lei replied with a shake of his head.
“That’s correct, then!” With a sigh, Dod said, “This level is the exact reason why the God of Time had met his demise back then.”
“Just what kind of secrets does this level contain?” Meng Lei was rather confused. “That even an existence as powerful as the God of Time would meet his demise because of it?”
“The reason why this level is totally different from the first 99 levels is that it’s just a seed. The nurturing process hasn’t started yet.” Dod added, “Once it’s sessfully nurtured, it shall surpass all the levels before it. In fact, it will surpass every other ordinary existential ne!”
“Is it really that dramatic?!” Meng Lei was rather skeptical. “So, what kind of secrets does this level exactly contain?”
“This level is an existential ne seed!”
As it enunciated every word carefully, Dod slowly added, “And on top of that, it’s a high-end existential ne seed!”
“A high-end existential ne seed?”
Meng Lei was rather lost. What was that?
“In the vast universe and the endless void, new nes are constantly being born, and old nes are dying out every moment. The new reces the old and lives wither while new ones are born. Destruction and birth, dying out and being born—these are supremews of the universe!”
With a sigh, Dod exined, “Just like how it is for everything else in this world, there is also a limit to existential nes’ lifespans. Once they reach the end of their lifespans, existential nes will also die out and be destroyed.
“However, high-end existential nes are an exception to that rule!”
Dod looked at Meng Lei and said, “High-end existential nes are eternal and immortal. They do not have lifespan restrictions and will never ever die out, much less be destroyed.
“They exist for eternity and are forever immortal! They’re totally different from other normal existential nes and are also known as Eternal nes.”
“High-end existential nes... don’t die out?”
Meng Lei blinked.
“Yes, they don’t!” Dod nodded heavily. “Because as of now, none of the high-end existential nes have ever died out!”
“Alright!” Meng Lei nodded slightly. “In other words, the 100th level will eventually evolve into a high-end existential ne?”
“Yes!” Dod nodded.
“Compared to an ordinary existential ne like Heaven’s Vault Continent, what makes a high-end existential ne different?” A puzzled Meng Lei asked, “The God of Time actually died because of a high-end existential ne seed?”
Dod replied dispassionately, “There are too many differences between the two. For example,ws of nature in high-end existential nes are clearer and more distinct, they contain more abundant energy, they span a wider territory, and the lives they birth and nurture are of a higher ss.
“Have you heard of the ten major Divine Realms? They are the ten most famous high-end existential nes!”
“The ten major Divine Realms?”
Meng Lei found himself dumbfounded once more.
“You don’t even know that?”
Dod was rendered speechless. “You must be the most ignorant half-deity I’ve ever met. But on ount of your age, I’ll forgive you.
“The ten major Divine Realms are the Earth Divine Realm, the Oceanic Divine Realm, the Tempest Divine Realm, the ming Divine Realm, the Forest Divine Realm, the Metal Divine Realm, the Thunderbolt Divine Realm, the Light Divine Realm, the Dark Divine Realm, and the Frost Divine Realm.
“These ten high-end existential nes upy an incredibly wide area that’s practically endless and boundless. Every single one of them is bigger than Heaven’s Vault Continent by more than a billion times.
“In addition,ws of nature in those ten Divine Realms are iparably distinct, and the rich power of divinity fills the whole ne.
“Saint Domains are everywhere, and half-deities are lesser beings than even dogs. Every living thing from the Divine Realms is an existence that can dominate and rule over Heaven’s Vault Continent if theye here!”
“Is it really that dramatic?!”
Meng Lei swallowed hard.
“Dramatic? Not at all.”
Dod shook its head. “It’s exactly because of these conditions that many deities whoe from ordinary existential nes are all willing to head to the ten major Divine Realms to cultivate because they can cultivate at a faster speed there.
“If you be a deity in the future, you can also consider heading to the ten major Divine Realms. I don’t rmend it, though, because it’s extremely dangerous there.”
“Head to the Divine Realms...”
Meng Lei licked his lips.
“Legend goes that high-end existential nes also hold another benefit, though no-one can verify its authenticity even as of now.” Dod sighed and said, “My master, the God of Time, lost his life exactly because of this particr legend and ultimately met his demise.”
Meng Lei asked, “What legend is it?”
“It’s said that high-end existential nes can nurture Chief God divine cores1. Do you know what a Chief God divine core is?”
Dod’s voice was trembling as it said, “It’s a divine core that can allow one to go all the way up to be a supreme Chief God!”
“A Chief God divine core?”
A huge jolt went through Meng Lei.
“My old master once said that bing a Great Perfection-level higher deity is where the journey ends for a deity. When one reaches that stage, they can no longer advance any further, let alone attain Chief Godhood.”
With a sigh, Dod said, “It’s only when one assimtes a Chief God divine core that they can be a Chief God. There is no other way.
“And it’s precisely because my old master had heard the legend and believed it that he stole a bigwig’s high-end existential ne seed and unfortunately perished in the end...”
“Deities cannot attain Chief Godhood through cultivation?” Meng Lei murmured to himself, “They can only attain Chief Godhood by assimting a Chief God divine core? That’s too unfair!”
“It is indeed unfair, but there’s no way around it.” Dod shook its head and said, “This is the supremew!”
Meng Lei heaved a sigh and asked, “In other words, as long as I can sessfully nurture this high-end existential ne seed until it matures, I’ll have a chance at breeding a Chief God divine core?”
Dod shook its head and replied, “That’s how the legend goes, but whether it’s true or not is something I don’t know. The Chief Gods high up above are probably the only ones who know.”
“How is this thing supposed to be nurtured?”
Meng Lei turned and looked at his surroundings.
“Are you thinking of nurturing the high-end existential ne seed? You might as well just take a bath and go to sleep!” Dod cast a nce at Meng Lei. Then, it added, “Even if you can make it sprout, you won’t be able to guard it anyway. You’re too weak!”
“...”
Meng Lei rolled his eyes at Dod. When he thought about it again, though, what it said was true. He might be pretty strong at the moment, but when ced in the vast, boundless universe, he was probably just a weakling.
Disregarding everything else, just the Dragon God alone was already a presence whom he couldn’t stand against, let alone other powerful existences.
Thus, he’d better just think of ways to boost hisbat abilities instead.
At the thought of that, Meng Lei asked, “Dod, since I’ve be the Tower of Time’s new master, does that mean that I can get the God of Time’s wealth, legacy, and the cultivation method for time-basedws of nature?”
Meng Lei’s eyes sparkled as he watched Dod with a slightly agitated demeanor.
A higher deity’s assets! Just how many Divinity Crystals would there be? How much power of divinity? How many Laws of Nature Origin Crystals? How many gold coins?
It felt like he was gonna earn big this time.
“Theoretically, yes,” replied Dod. Then, it changed the course of the conversation and continued. “But my old master has left a holy decree that only those that pass the trial may receive the corresponding rewards.
“Otherwise... Don’t even think about it!”
“A trial? There’s a trial?!”
Meng Lei rolled his eyes. Then, he asked, “Alright, tell me, what kind of trials has the God of Time left behind?”
“Before we go to the trial, let me first get an understanding of your cultivation situation.”
Dod looked at Meng Lei and asked, “Since your divine body is fairly strong, that means your body must contain some kind of divine beast’s bloodline, right? Manifest it, and let me take a look. Which divine beast’s descendant are you, exactly?”
Meng Lei nodded and transformed into a Gods-ying Rat right away.
“A ck Bear Hamster? No, the aura isn’t right...
“A ck Rock Rodent? No, the tail doesn’t look like it...
“A Stone-Devouring Rat? No, a Stone-Devouring Rat is gray in color...”
Dod mumbled to itself for a good half a day as it circled around Meng Lei. Then, it suddenly let out a strangled cry as it eximed, “I know! It’s the Gods-ying Rat! This is the Gods-ying Rat’s aura! Oh my goodness! To think it’s actually the Gods-ying Rat! Howe you’re the Gods-ying Rats’ descendant!?”
