    Conan''s Wolf territory was a massive wolf territory settling in the Steep Hills whose leader was Conan, a dangerous Shadow Wolf that was feared widely.


    The wolves in Conan''s territory were more than a thousand, making him the overlord of all the wolves in a region of kilometers around the Steep Hills.


    During the previous Great Wolf War, as an ambush predator, Conan was able to attack the previous overlord of the Steep Hills, the Fire Wolf Gorgon, ending his long reign and dering himself the new Lord of the Steep Hills.


    Since thest Great war ended years ago, he remained the alpha of the Steep Hills who ruled mostly through fear and intimidation.


    No other wolf dared to challenge his territory, but that day, Ak birth a new ambition to dethrone this Shadow Wolf as the lord of the Steep Hills.


    For all that Legs his master had done for him, bing the alpha of a thousand wolves was the best way Ak could think of to repay him.


    Despite objection from Bone, on arriving at Conan''s territory, Ak made a decision to go inside alongside the other wolves in his pack.


    The months that Ak already spent as Legs''s contracted beast were not in vain, despite not making it obvious, he was smart and could learn.


    Having seen Legs lecturing Christensen on various asions, Ak was able to learn some basics. And one of the things that he learned that could be put to use at this moment was knowing your enemy.


    Like Legs always emphasized, a good Summoner must know his opponent.


    For Ak, a good alpha must know his rivals.


    Infiltrating Conan''s territory was easy since they were also Wolves. Managing a territory containing over a thousand wolves was not easy.


    With their entry, Ak became exposed to new surroundings.


    Conan was merciless and cunning, but he was also organized.


    Conan''s wolves were divided into packs ording to what they were best at. There were hunter wolf packs, scout wolf packs, and the elite wolf packs.


    Within the 3 days that they spent in Conan''s territory, Ak saw the elite wolf packs in action twice. Containing the strongest wolves in Conan''s territory, they were powerful, brutal, and ruthless.


    They were Conan''s personal war wolves.


    During his reign, not satisfied with the wolves and territory that he got after killing Gorgon, Conan regrly went for expansion raids where he ughtered other wolves, taking their survivors and their territory.


    Due to Conan''s expansion raids, his wolves were already close to the 1,500 mark, once he crossed this mark, his notoriety would increase even further.


    Due to his tyranny in the past few years, apart from inducing a lot of fear in all surrounding wolves, he also induced resentment in them.


    This became the catalyst that Ak decided to work with.


    Though he didn''t act like it, Ak remembered everything that Rogue 1 told him. ording to Rogue 1, during wolf wars, the champion Wolves that kill other champions and end up winning the war are eligible to be territory rulers.


    ''The first step to overthrowing Conan is starting a war''.


    As soon as Ak arrived at this conclusion, he acted on it.


    Apart from Conan, there were other Grade D Wolves in the Steep Hills who led wolf packs who were not under Conan''s leadership.


    Since Conan preyed on these wolves, they already hated the Shadow Wolf, these were the allies that Ak sought for help to start a war.


    For a week, Ak kept on seeking allies. After disying his incredible strength to the wolves, Ak managed to win some of them over.


    In under a week, he managed to attract 200 wolves under his banner.


    Ak needed just one more wolf pack to kickstart his war.

    A Mutant Horse rapidly sprinted through the slippery hills as fast as its legs could carry it as it kept on making turns and maneuvers to lose its pursuers.


    "Awoo!" "Awoo!"


    The cries of wolves reverberated behind it, spooking this Mutant Horse.


    The leader of this hunting wolf pack was a ck Direwolf. With his control over the earth element, he continually manipted the slope and hill in his favor as the Mutant Horse was prevented from running at full speed.


    Apart from hindering the horse, he also directed the wolves.


    Under his clever leadership, the wolves upied strategic positions were they slowly and patiently directed the Mutant Horse into a dead end.


    Noticing the dead end, the Mutant Horse panicked.


    The Horse neighed loudly as it kicked with its powerful legs at the nearest wolf that was behind it. The kick connected, injuring the wolf but before the Horse could recover from the kick, above it, another Direwolf pounced down.


    Crunch!


    One deadly bite to the neck and the Mutant Horse was left whimpering.


    2 Wolves with frost powers froze its legs, ending its escape journey as the other wolves rounded it up and finally brought an end to its life.


    Without hesitation, the wolves started feasting on its flesh.


    They barely started eating before the ck Direwolf, their alpha raised its head and looked up. On looking, its nerves tightened as it saw arge gathering of wolves already surrounding the hills, they were cornered.


    On noticing it, all the wolves in his pack growled.


    "Awoo!"


    The leader of these wolves announced his presence with a roar.


    Even without his roar, Ak''s unique leadership presence already gave up his identity as he stared majestically down at this wolf pack.


    "I don''t want to kill you". Akmunicated with them.


    "I am simply fighting for justice to free you and others from the torture of a tyrant, I am here to liberate all the wolves of the Steep Hills".


    "Join my cause to kill Conan and wee a golden age to the Steep Hills".


    "An age where Wolves can live in power and prosperity again".


    The Direwolf stomped its right leg on the ground as he looked up at Ak. "Can you kill Conan in a one-on-one battle?"


    Ak stared down at the Direwolf, then he confidently answered. "Yes".


    The Direwolf growled. "Prove it".


    Ak raised his head. "A Vrka Yuddha it is then".


    Without hesitation, he jumped down from the hill top where he stood.


    All the wolves in the ck Direwolf''s pack rapidly retreated, leaving a battlefield big enough for these 2 powerful wolves to fight a Vrka Yuddha.


    As soon as Aknded, an intense battle started.


    The battle was intense but it didn''tst long.


    After fighting Vrka Yuddhas constantly for the past 1 week and some days, Ak''s battle experience and skills already improved incredibly.


    He needed only 3 minutes to dispatch this massive ck Direwolf.


    With one leg on his chest, Ak red down at him.


    "Join my cause to kill and overthrow Conan".


    "You have a Wolf''s pride, give your pubs something to be proud of and remember you for".


    "Leave a legacy for yourself that you will be proud of in death".


    Ak looked at the wolves surrounding him that made this Direwolf''s pack. "Give your wolves a worthy reason to give their lives for".


    The ck Direwolf finally stood up then it bowed slightly.


    "Take me into your army".


    "I will be your sword and shield".


    Ak stood tall as the violet sky illuminated his white fur.
