Chapter 214 A gateway?

    Chapter 214 A gateway?

Sylvia was immediately rmed. She hurriedly used a st of wind on herself and the wolf to push

    themselves off the danger bubble.

She didn''t breathe for that second, so she wasn''t too affected, but the wolf wasn''t too quick to react.

The beast started coughing up violently.

On top of that, the python relentlessly chased them, once again appearing in front of them again.

Unlike before, this battle was different. Sylvia understood this very well.

As the huge python raised its head, she did not hold back and quickly used all the mana that she

couldmand to send out several shes of fire.

The des of fire spun around, dazzling brilliantly and several shesnded on the length of the

    python.

Perhaps because the intensity of the spell was higher this time, the huge beast did not get any

    chance to recover.

It was now the beast''s turn to feel fear. Its yellow slitted orbs widened in shock and it quickly tried

to turn tails and run away.

But Sylvia did not n to let it go that easily. She stepped forward and once again sent out another

    attack finishing the python.

Its entire body was riddled with crisscross cuts, and the python dropped down as cut sashimi on the

    ground.

Sylvia then flew down to inspect the corpse of the beast. In one of the books, she had read that a

poisonous beast''s gall dder contained the antidote to its venom.

So she quickly grabbed the small organ and cringed as she squeezed the blood-mixed juice into the

    wolf''s mouth.

"Is it hurting?" This is why she did not want to take the beast with her in the first ce. Seeing its

weakened poisoned state, she let out a small sigh.

She even had half a heart to leave it here ande back for it some other time, maybe on her way

back. Even though it was cruel to do that, it was the best thing for the wolf.

The forest was already starting to be very dangerous and she was also not that experienced.

She did not have the confidence to protect both the beast and herself.

After drinking the anti-dote, the wolf''s eyes closed tiredly. It looked like the medicine also had some

    sort of sleep-inducingponent.

Sylvia lovingly patted the wolf''s head and whispered. "Go back to the waterfalls where I found you. I

wille to find you in some time."

Woooo! The wolf unwillingly whined, but it was too tired to stop or follow her. It tried to get up, but

it couldn''t. Tears dripped out of its eyes.

"I wille to find you. Trust me." Sylvia reassured again.

But just as she said that, she suddenly remembered something and shivered. Not long ago, she was

also abandoned by someone just like this.

"Did he leave me because I was weak and useless?" She couldn''t help but wonder. She then shook

her head firmly. "I will not think about that person."

Without looking back, she shot forward deeper into the forests. In just a few minutes, once again

    another python blocked her path.

However, this time her eyes shone with strange anger. She only used two attacks to ughter the

huge python and continued moving forward.

It looked like she was in the middle of a python territory as several of those beasts confronted her,

but none of them were able to touch her.

Sylvia killed a few and then sted past the rest, the pythons no longer able to keep up with her

    speed.

After getting out of that territory, the disturbance was exponentially lesser.

Since she was traveling by air, the dense forests underneath, chalked full of all sorts of dangerous

beasts, couldn''t do anything to her.

They could only look and roar, with their feeble attempt to threaten her as she passed them by.

Sylvia indifferently ignored them and continued going faster, deeper, and deeper into the wilnds.

And before long… she arrived at the territory that was star marked on the map.

Sylvia rested on a tree branch as she took out the map and looked at it again. "I am here." Her gaze

    sharpened.

She clenched her fists, mentally preparing herself for whatever that awaited her beyond this point.

She was not a fool. Just like Roman and Isaac, she also knew the difficulty and the danger of what she

    had chosen to do.

After all, the patriarch himself was wounded in attempting to get this for her. He was an

experienced, hardened warrior while she was still a no one.

So she did note here expecting to seed on her first try or to seed at all.

But even so… she wanted to try.

She wanted to know what was her strength.

Sylvia cast a spell of invisibility on herself and cautiously proceeded further inside.

In this ce, the dense forests that were clustered tightly up until now suddenly started clearing up.

"Hmmm…" Sylvia waited and looked around and then continued moving. The forests eventually

opened up into a huge clearing.

She paused and observed the space in front of her. There was fresh green grass on the ground and

on top of this, there were several huge rocks.

When she looked closely, these rocks seemed to be arranged in some sort of fashion. There was a

    pattern.

Her gaze fixated on this, she took one step forward and, suddenly something flickered.

Sylvia gasped lightly in shock and froze on the spot. "What was that?"

The rocks were like a gate and she saw something swirling in the gate. She was sure of it. However,

it was only one second. After that, it disappeared.

She had an urge to find out what it was and she hurriedly flew forward but before she could take

another step, another of gleaming yellow eyes greeted her.

This time, it was not a python. It was a bat, its size was almost twice her size.

    And there wasn''t just one…
