    The weather of the broiling hot season would change at the drop of a hat. It was clear and sunny in the morning, but the sky had darkened by noon.


    The clouds were dark and oppressive, so stifling that it made ones breathing falter. The rain finally fell with a sudden p of thunder, rming all the living creatures on the ind.


    The entire mountain was filled with the patter of rain and the leaves of the fertile shrubbery were forced to bend at the waist as they were struck by therge raindrops. The earth here mostly consisted of rocks with little soil; it formed a turbid slurry that snaked down the mountain in small streams before finally pouring into the boundless ocean.


    The wind apanied by rainwater slipped into the crevice and blew on Shu Jintians face. Shu Jintians sleepiness gradually faded as his body was doused with rain.


    Shu Jintian felt a tickling on his face, and the tickling feeling spread from his forehead to the side of his lips. Shu Jintian sleepily stuck his tongue out to lick it, but there was no vour.


    Youre awake, Tiantian? Shu Hanyus happy voice rang out and fully woke Shu Jintian up.

    Guoguo?Hong Zao leapt up, his whole body instantly turning defensive as he vigntly surveyed the area. Seeing that there was no one there, he withdrew his defensive state, watching coldly as Guoguo crawled towards him.


    For~ YouGuoguo swiftly crawled to Hong Zaos side, pausing with each word. He spent some effort to speak, and his saliva was already uncontrobly flowing.


    Guoguo passed the jewels wrapped in leaves to Hong Zao.


    Hong Zaos pupils shrank, not epting the things he had once treasured very much.

    Guoguo! Shu Jintian sighed in relief. Shu Hanyu merely gave Guoguo a casual look. When smelling the scent on Guoguo, his eyes immediately turned cial.


    Guoguos body shuddered from Shu Hanyus gaze and he timidly detoured around Shu Hanyu and crawled into the crevice with fear and trepidation.


    The ind was overgrown with nts after the rain and not a single piece of dry firewood could be found. Shu Jintian thus ate some wild fruit, and then prepared to return home with Shu Hanyu.


    Now that there was new life in his stomach, Shu Jintian was afraid of another ident and didnt dare go straight underwater. Instead, he asked Shu Hanyu to look for a very big shell to use as a boat.


    From Hong Zaos pearls, one knew that there probably were several types of shellfish here. Shu Jintian asked Shu Hanyu to search underwater, and, as expected, there was arge shell that was about two meters in diameter. The inside of the shell was azure, the surface glossy and gleaming, permeated with ayer of oily substance.


    Shu Jintian brought along the twenty flints he had found during these days, carried Guoguo up and sat on the shell-ship floating on the water surface, and Shu Hanyu swam ahead while leading them.


    The blue water was tranquil as the sky cleared after the rain. They were very quick, and it wasnt long before the small ind they had lived in for a few days had disappeared from view.


    En route, Guoguo couldnt sit still and leapt into the water to y around while swimming. His nimble body was swiftly osciting in the water, and Guoguo was able to keep up when Shu Hanyu slowed down slightly.


    As Guoguo was cheerfully swimming, he unconsciously reverted to his snake form. At first, Guoguo didnt realise the abnormality of his body and just felt that he was swimming much smoother, and thus swam even more happily. It was only when Shu Jintian cried out in surprise that Guoguo noticed and became ecstatic, bing increasingly lively while swimming.


    The family of three drifted in the blue water for half a day and one night. The morning of the second day, they finally arrived at the shore where they entered the water.
